She's home
Natsu leaned against the back of one of the couches in the guild hall, smiling as he watched a certain bluenette laugh. Her laugh was something he's only heard in his dreams for the past few years. The sixteen year old stood with some old friends, a soda in hand and wide smile on her face. This girl was Wendy. She just returned with Natsu and his team, after destroying Nirvana, a little over an hour ago.
One hour ago
Wendy stood next to Natsu, staring at the large doors of the guild hall. Natsu had, thankfully, figured out how to undo the curse on the body so she looked more like a common sixteen year old should. Now she stood at 5'5, had c-cup boobs, and had her hair down, wearing a light blue t-shirt, jeans, and off-white tennis shoes. Wendy hugged Carla close to her chest, the white Exceed worried about her Slayer. Said Slayer was scared herself, worried about being around so many new humans. A hand on her shoulder brought her back to the present.
"It's okay Wendy" Natsu said softly, smiling down at the girl. She smiled at the man who's one of her many older brothers.
"You ready" the bluenette nodded. Natsu put his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to his side and following their friends inside.
"We're home" Happy announced, hovering next to Lucy. Mokarov complained about things neither Slayer payed any attention to. After a few minutes of this the old master finally took notice of the young teen clutching a white Exceed standing at Natsus' side.
"Ans who's this" he asked, catching everyones' attention. Wendy shyed away, moving closer to Natsu.
"It's okay Wendy" Natsu said, a gentle tone in his voice very few have heard him use, and that is only with Bisca and Alzacks' daughter, Asuka, and other young kids. Wendy took a deep breath, "I'm Wendy Marvell"
While all this went on a certain red eyed dragon watched, hidden, on the second floor. He focused on the blue haired girl next to his boyfriend.He found her, he thought with a smile. He waited till everyone had calmed down after she said she was a Dragon Slayer. Walking down the stairs, he headed straight for his fellow dragons.
"Hey Little sky" Wendy froze before turning toward the source of the voice. Her breath got caught in her throat when she saw him.
"Gajeel!?" Carla flew from Wendys' arms before she ran to the man. He smiled and caught her in his arms, laughing. Actually laughing, not his 'Gihi' like most of the guild knows. Levy was probably the only human in the guild to hear his laugh. He set Wendy down on her feet, tears slowly falling down her cheeks.
"How, I thought you were-" Gajeel cut her off, "Dead. Yea, didn't stick" he chuckled.
Present
Wendy was a little ticked when Natsu said he knew about Gajeel the whole time. "We had bigger things to worry about y'know" was his excuse. Wendy just rolled her eyes at that, knowing he had a point.
Natsu glanced to his side, at Gajeel who sat next to him. He told Wendy about him and the red eyed dragon being together, in Draconic of course. They started dating a week after he turned 18, two after the Tower of Heaven. They're keeping them a secret from everyone, though their fellow fae creatures know and don't care, as did Wendy. In fact she asked 'what took so long.'
The 19yr old saw Natsu glance at him and smiled. It was easy to keep their relationship from the guild. They already know the two are best friends, so things like being together throughout the day and talking in their native tongue didn't raise any eyebrows. Except a few who wondered what language they were speaking.
Wendy laughed again, drawing the pairs' attention to her and her small group. One of them must've told a funny joke or story since the were all laughing.
"She really has grown up, huh" Blake, a 19yr old werewolf with brown hair and green eyes, said leaning over the back of the couch on Natsus' right. The two dragons hummed in response.
It was almost midnight when the three dragons and two Exceeds got away, heading to the house, hidden deep in the forest. Tatsu showed up, spooking Zhel and Rivin awake when she landed on Zhels' back then pouncing on Rivin. Their riders laughed at the scene of two large, tough dragons getting scared by a creature half their weight. Zhel and Rivin chased the off-white dragoness around for almost 15 minutes before the riders stopped them, telling them to go back to sleep as they went inside to do the same.
