chapter 15
Starscream was out on patrol he saw a ship. It looked like it was Cybertronian. "A Cybertronian space ship." he said. He landed and decided to look inside. It was wrecked up and a mess. "Look at this place I doubt there are any who are still here let alone alive." he said.
The he heard something. "Hello?" he said and went into a room. "P.U. what is that smell?" he asked. He saw something. "By the stars!" he cried when he saw what he saw. Then a hand grabbed him and he got deep scratch and he ran off and got out of the ship.
Swindle his minicon partner beeped. "I'm okay Swindle it's just a scratch," he told him.
Back at the base all the Autobots and Decepticons were relaxing. "Sure is pretty quiet today," Wheeljack stated.
"Well at least we have time to relax," Skywarp told him.
Then Starscream came in, he looked kind of trouble. "Starscream is something wrong?" Lightstar asked.
"Did you see something out on patrol?" Optimus asked him.
"Yes," Starscream answered.
"What did you see?" Megatron asked.
"A Cybertronian spaceship it was sitting there in a wreck on the ground." Starscream said. "It was shocking what was in it," he said.
"What was in it?" Demolisher asked.
"Bodies, the armor was a pale ghostly white, green spider web like veins going across it, and dark purple circles around the optics," Starscream said.
"Any survivors?" Hot shot asked.
"One," Starscream said.
"Then let's go, he may need help," Cyclonus said.
"Guys it's already too late," Starscream told them.
"Um those symptoms Starscream mentioned are kind of worrisome," Sawblade said.
"I know what you are thinking Sawblade I fear it too," Red alert said. "I don't think we should mention it, as the Surge of the Spark is a bit of panic inducer," he said.
"Did you say the surge of the spark?" Thundercracker asked.
"You mean that plague the went through Cybertron and killed entire units of Autobots and Decepticons alike?" Skywarp asked.
"Yes that is it," Sawblade said.
"I need a face mask," Skywarp said.
"Skywarp you don't get the surge of the spark by breathing," Sawblade told him.
"Oh," Skywarp said.
"So are you alright Starscream is the ship still bothering you?" Lightstar asked.
"I guess what bothered me most about it is they were all bots who come from Vos, shuttles, seekers, and copters, I guess it was hard to take in," Starscream told her.
"So you're going to be okay?" Lightstar asked.
"I am sure," Starscream stated.
That night Lightstar was woke by Swindle who was freaking out. "Swindle you're worked up into a froth," Lightstar said and followed him to Starscream's room. Starscream was sick.
Red alert and Sawblade didn't know what to do. Side swipe was doing some research and found the cure. "Guys I found the cure but I need the shuttle pod to go to Cybertron to get it," Side swipe told them.
"Go for it Side swipe," Optimus said.
"I'll go with you, you may need back up kid," Demolisher told him.
"Thanks Demolisher," Side swipe said.
"Listen Demolisher if my brother gets hurt on your watch I will personally reconstruct your face," Hot shot said showing Demolisher his fist.
"I understand," Demolisher said.
Once on Cybertron they were looking in a swamp like area. "Okay the creature who makes the cure is called Cy-buffalo-lizard. It says it eats herbal flowers which turns the saliva bright orange and that cures the surge of the spark." Side swipe said.
"Keep in mind Side swipe that animal you spoke of is rare," Demolisher told him.
They found one it was a big animal. It was stuck in a trap. Side swipe freed it and made sure it wasn't hurt. The Maim and Cutter appeared netted the animal. "Listen Maim we need the saliva from that animal to help our friend," Side swipe told him.
"Sounds like he found our Vosian prison ship," Maim said.
"What?" Side swipe asked.
"You heard us, we hit our own prison ship that contained prisoners of ours from Vos just because we could and we couldn't careless if another bot becomes infected." Maim said.
"You Cyber-rattler!" Demolisher shouted.
"Wait, I will let you take the animal if I can get the cure for my friend," Side swipe said. "I promise I won't do anything to trick you, just let me have the cure," he said.
"Very well," Maim said he was very aware Side swipe was true to his word.
Side swipe got the cure and put in special container to keep it fresh and moist until they returned to earth.
Maim left with the Cyber-buffalo-lizard. "Side swipe I have feeling you know what might happen when he tries to take it away." Demolisher said.
The the giant animal fought off the droids and ran back to it's spot and nuzzled Side swipe. "You knew it would repay your kindness," Demolisher said.
"Well I had a feeling it might," Side swipe said. Then they headed back to earth where Starscream was getting progressively worse.
They made it back. "We got it," Side swipe told the medics.
Starscream was given the cure and the effect was instant. He sat up and Red alert came over to help him stand. "Easy now Starscream," Red alert told him.
All the Autobots and Decepticons were cheering. "I don't deserve this, I say the ones who deserve it are the medics and Side swipe and Demolisher," Starscream said.
Everyone cheered for them.
"There is one thing we must do now," Skywarp said. Thundercracker and Starscream agreed.
They got specially devices and went to the ship. All the transformers had them and they threw them at the spaceship which caught fire and the spaceship started to burn.
Eventually Starscream was fully recovered from the experience and none the worse for wear.
