Things were pretty normal at the base. Many of the bots and cons were out on scouting missions. Today a couple of transformers were coming to help them. They would arrive at any moment.
"They will be here very soon," Optimus said.
"They sure will," Megatron said.
"Who are new bots that are coming to help?" Lightstar asked.
"Ratchet is an Autobot I called into help since we are getting more bots in every day I figured Red alert and Sawblade could use some help, he is one of the best medics for the Autobot cause." Optimus explained.
"The other one who is coming is Knockout he is as Decepticon Medic, he is young but skilled, and he's very good with his work. He is also very good at doing cosmetic repairs to a bot's body so he can fix up most bad scratches and give fresh coat of paint to those who need it," Megatron explained.
"So both who are coming are medical officers," Lightstar stated.
"Yes, and the base is getting so crowded with Autobots, Decepticons and Minicons alike, Red alert and Sawblade could use the help," Optimus said.
"I thought Slingshot was a medic too," Lightstar said.
"He is and a good one, Slingshot also needs the help to," Optimus said.
Soon the two new members of the team arrived. "So this is earth," Ratchet said. "This is much different than I expected," he stated.
"Well it's better than I expected," Knockout claimed.
"Ratchet and Knockout welcome to earth," Optimus told them.
"Yes and we know you both will be a valuable asset to our team," Megatron told them.
"It's good to be here," Ratchet said.
A bit later Starscream and Lightstar went out on patrol. "Okay everything in the forest looks good," Lightstar said looking around.
"Yes it does," Starscream said.
Then they saw a deer and some rabbits run off. "Hey what's with those animals?" Starscream asked.
"I don't know but I think something spooked them, it was probably some hikers who were not being so careful," Lightstar claimed.
Then there were laser blasts. Maim, and Cutter appeared and continued the attack. Lightstar was knocked into the river by Cutter when he caught her by surprise and fell into the river. Starscream fought off the droids and dived in and pulled Lightstar to shore. "Lightstar are you okay?" Starscream asked.
"I'm banged up," She said looking at her wounds.
"Come on let's get you to the base," Starscream said and picked her up. Once back at the base Starscream took Lightstar to the medical bay.
The medics went right work and patched Lightstar up. "Well your wounds are not serious, you are going to be fine," Ratchet told her.
"There that should do it," Red alert told her.
"I feel better already," Lightstar said. Now that she was healed she left the medical bay. She came into the rec room. The others saw her come in.
"Hey Lightstar you alright?" Demolisher asked.
"Yes I'm all repaired, the injuries were not serious," Lightstar told them.
"That's good," Cyclonus said.
"I guess I could have avoided getting hurt if I knew Cutter was going to pull a stunt like that," Lightstar admitted.
"Lightstar it was surprise attack," Scavenger said. "You couldn't have predicted it, and neither could've Starscream you should count yourself lucky you had back up today," he told her.
"Yes I was and I know it's important to go in with back no matter what the situation is even if you done it several times," Lightstar said. "Whether it is a simple patrol which can be done alone or, a mission back up is important," she said.
"Right, but somethings like patrol on occasion must be done on your own, so it's important to keep your wits about you when you do go in on those things alone," Scavenger told her.
Starscream who was coming in heard came up. "I agree, I am just glad you are safe," Starscream told her.
"I am glad you had my back," Lightstar told him. "Just remember I got yours too," she said.
"I know, that is the way works when you are on a team," Starscream said.
"You know there is one thing I don't understand why did the droids appear so suddenly they must have been in the area to looking for something on patrol, why would they break orders just to jump us?" Lightstar said.
"I have the feeling Conquortrone maybe trying to have his men strike fear in our sparks and cause panic for us and may be trying to cause more trouble for us," Optimus said.
