The droids had been laying low and things had been pretty quiet, no minicons, star fragment jewels, or relics had been detected. So there was not much to do the base had been cleaned and repaired now there was literally nothing to do. So Optimus and Megatron decided it as time for the whole base to have some r and r.
"I guess all we have to do is find some way to relax," Lightstar stated.
"How about we try camping? We haven't done that before," Lisa said.
"Camping sounds like a lovely idea," Optimus said.
So camping it was. All the bots and cons started to relax outside and set everything up. Swindle heard something and wandered off. "What is it Swindle?" Starscream asked.
They followed Swindle and saw a minicon. "Wow I can't believe we didn't pick up that minicon's signal, it looks like a deployer minicon," Red alert said.
"It's amazing I wonder why it is all alone," Lightstar said.
"It most likely doesn't have a partner yet." Drift answered.
The little minicon was playing and then Lightstar and Zoomzoom came up for a closer look. "Eeek!" the little deployer cried. Then gave a kick it hit a rock which hit Zoomzoom on the head.
"Oh no Zoomzoom!" Lightstar said.
"Uh oh," the deployer said.
"Are you alright?" Lightstar asked Zoomzoom.
"I'm so sorry," the deployer said.
Red alert finished treating Zoomzoom's wound. "There it's does seem serious," he said.
"Yeah," Hot shot agreed.
"I'm so sorry," the little deployer said.
"It's okay," Zoomzoom said.
"We know you didn't want to hurt anybody. Zoomzoom and I must have really startled you," Lightstar told her. "What is your name?" she asked.
"I am Moonbeam," Moonbeam answered.
"Nice to meet you Moonbeam," Lightstar said.
"Once again I am sorry I am just kind of shy," Moonbeam told them.
"It's okay, we all can get shy at times," Drift told her.
"Do you have a partner?" Lightstar asked.
"No not yet but I hope to find one," Moonbeam said.
"It will happen someday," Skywarp told her.
"It's getting late, let's have dinner," Nathan said. "You can join us Moonbeam," he told her.
The bots were enjoying Cybertronian food while Nathan, Lisa and Nancy were having human food. "Man Demolisher you are great cook," Hot shot complimented.
"Thanks," Demolisher said.
"It sure is good," Moonbeam said.
"Uh," Zoomzoom said. Then fell over.
"Zoomzoom what's wrong?" Lightstar asked picked Zoomzoom up. "You're burning up," she said feeling Zoomzoom's forehead.
"It could be due to getting hit in the noggin with that rock today," Cyclonus stated.
Moonbeam began to feel pretty guilty.
"I only brought medicine for wounds I'm afraid," Red alert claimed.
"You just leave it to me," Drift said. "I know every herbal remedy in the galaxy, we just saw herbs out here that reduce fever didn't we pupils?" he asked Slipstream and Jetstorm.
"We sure did," Slipstream answered.
"Then let's go,' Jetstorm said.
After getting the herbs Drift ground them up and came over to Lightstar. "It's already," Drift said. "Here Zoomzoom open up," he said. Zoomzoom opened her mouth. "That's it, it might be a little bitter," he said as Zoomzoom took the medicine.
Zoomzoom went to sleep.
"A good night's sleep and Zoomzoom will be as good as new," Drift told Lightstar.
"Thank you so much Drift," Lightstar said.
"You really came through in a pinch Drift," Red alert told him.
"I am happy to help," Drift told him.
That night they were sleeping. Lightstar turned and woke then saw Moonbeam watching over Zoomzoom. "Are you worried?" Lightstar asked.
"Yes," Moonbeam said.
"Don't worry she took the medicine Drift made by tomorrow she'll be fine, remember tomorrow is a new day and you will need all your energy for it," Lightstar told her.
Zoomzoom was sleeping and her blanket fell out of place and Moonbeam fixed it and went to sleep.
Meanwhile at the droid base Conquortrone called Maim in. "Maim you are my best solider and now I will make it even better for you and me," Conquortrone said and revealed some protoforms. Then strapped Maim down and extracted part of his spark and implanted a part in each one. Then they came too life.
The next morning.
Zoomzoom was running around feeling great. "I am so glad your fever is gone," Drift said.
"It's all thanks to the herbal remedy you made Drift," Lightstar told him.
The bots were packing up and ready to go. Then Moonbeam came up to Lightstar. "What is it Moonbeam?" Lightstar asked. "Do you want to come with me and be one of my partners?" she asked.
"Yes," Moonbeam said.
"Then let's go," Lightstar said.
"This great now Moonbeam has a partner like she wanted and you have some extra help," Starscream said.
"What do you think of this Zoomzoom?" Lightstar asked.
"Perfect!" Zoomzoom said.
The bots and cons made it back to the base and now everyone was glad be home with new friend unaware they were soon facing a new threat from the droids.
