Alright, so this is the Holiday Handout for Bloss, featuring Dovewing and Briarlight along with a few other characters from the main series. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Bloss! I hope you enjoy reading this :)

Dovewing padded out of the ThunderClan camp, her tail tip flicking back and forth slowly. She was going out for a bit to go hunting. StarClan knew that ThunderClan needed some prey, since Leaf-Bare was on the way. She headed out into the forest, shivering a little as a cold wind blew past.

The pale gray she-cat padded through the woods, occasionally stopping and sniffing around to see if she could scent some prey. For a while, she didn't find anything. But then she came across a bush. It's leaves were shaking, even though there wasn't any wind around. She parted her jaws ever so slightly to scent the air around the bush. She caught the scent of mouse and crouched down, making sure she was upwind from the bush.

Dovewing crept towards the bush, trying not to step on any twigs or leaves. She got close to the bush and then pounced, slamming her paws down on a mouse. She bit its neck right as it let out a terrified squeak and killed it. The pale gray she-cat let out a triumphant meow and smiled. It felt good to be doing something for the Clan.

The she-cat caught two more mice while she was out and found herself near the WindClan border. Dovewing was about to head back when she didn't find anymore prey...but something glittering in the sunlight caught her attention.

Dovewing dropped her catch down in the shelter of a bush so she could investigate the shiny object. The pale gray she-cat padded towards it, her nose twitching curiously. She stopped right in front of the object. It was a shiny dark green orb with another shiny golden thing on the top of it. Dovewing gazed at it, her eyes wide with wonder. I wonder what that is… She thought curiously.

Then she got an idea. I'm sure Briarlight would like to play with this for her exercises with me! It's sort of like a moss ball… Dovewing smiled and picked up the orb and somehow managed to grab the mice she caught too. Then she started to head back to camp with them in her jaws.

Dovewing got back to camp and dropped the mice she'd caught on the fresh kill pile. Twigpaw must've seen the orb because she came bounding over to Dovewing, a curious look on her face.

"What's that?" The gray Apprentice asked.

Dovewing shrugged and set the orb down for a moment so that she could talk to Twigpaw. "I'm not sure what it is," she answered, and then glanced towards the Medicine Den. "I just thought that Briarlight would like to play with it with me."

"Oooh!" Twigpaw exclaimed. "That's a good idea!"

"Twigpaw! Get over here!" Ivypool shouted from near the camp exit. Twigpaw dipped her head to Dovewing and then ran over to her mentor. Dovewing smiled at her sister and then grabbed the orb again. She padded over to the Medicine den and walked inside, dropping the orb down gently in front of Briarlight, who gazed at it in wonder.

"What is that?" Leafpool asked Dovewing, turning away from the herbs she was sorting for a moment.

"I'm not sure," Dovewing sighed, a little annoyed that she had to answer this question again. "I just thought it'd be a good thing for Briarlight to do her exercises with me…"

"You thought right," Leafpool nodded. "Go ahead."

Dovewing turned back towards Briarlight and smiled at her. "What do you think!"

"I think it'd be fun!" Briarlight chirped and batted the ball towards Dovewing. The pale gray she-cat hit the ball gently back towards Briarlight. The two played with the ball for a while, occasionally being loud enough to get Jayfeather to yell at them.

"Would you two quiet down?!" Jayfeather snapped while he was trying to sort herbs with Leafpool.

"Sorry," Dovewing muttered and shut her mouth, Briarlight following suit. She hit the ball back towards Briarlight, who hit it in Dovewing's direction. Dovewing accidentally hit it towards Leafpool, who just chuckled and hit it back towards them.

"This is fun!" Briarlight exclaimed after a while, seemingly tired from playing for so long.

Dovewing smiled. "It sure is! I'm glad you're enjoying this."

"Well…" Leafpool suddenly said and pawed the ball towards herself. "It's getting late…" She gave Dovewing a look. The pale gray she-cat took the hint and nodded.

"Thanks for letting us play," Briarlight said to Leafpool and then turned her head to face Dovewing. "Thanks for bringing this here." She gave Dovewing a big smile that warmed the other she-cat's heart. She was so happy to see Briarlight having fun.

"I'll see you tomorrow," Dovewing told Briarlight and dipped her head to the Medicine cats. She padded out of the den and over to the Warriors' den. She probably wouldn't sleep well, since she'd be excited about playing with Briarlight more tomorrow, but she might as well try to get some rest.

For context, the green orb is a tree ornament.

I hope you like this Bloss!
