Why is sad cebu sad?
Sad Cebu walked away from the screaming boy and broke down crying again as he thought about his birthday. He had been crying for three days since his disastrous birthday party. Nothing could comfort him or convince him that this birthday party had been the end of his happiness forever. He only wanted one thing for his birthday this year. Just one thing. He had told all his family and all his friends about this one gift. He had invited everyone to the surprise birthday party he had thrown for himself. No one brought the present he wanted. He had received socks, sweaters, games, playing cards, a house, and a box of bubble wrap. All that was fine, but it hadn't been what he asked for. All Sad Cebu wanted was a skateboard. His mom had told him that they didn't make cebu sized skateboards. His friends had told them that he would hurt himself on a skateboard. It didn't matter. All he wanted was a skateboard, and he didn't get it. All his friends and all his family had gathered, and no one got him his skateboard. He was crushed. He had opened all his presents, and when there had been no skateboard, he cried. He cried all evening, and when his guests couldn't stop him they left. He had spent the next two days lamenting that he would never do a 180, or a 360, or grind, or use a halfpipe. Sad Cebu shut himself in his home and cried. He had only agreed to come on this canoe trip because the boy had forced him to. The boy couldn't find anyone else to row his boat into town, so he made his cebus do it. Now everything had fallen apart. The canoe was broken. The boy was injured. And Sad Cebu still had no skateboard. He wept.
