A/N: Hello, this chapter was fun to write, but also time consuming. I may or may not be doing many other 'canon' episodes, but this chapter and the next one is important to some of Lyanna's character so I wanted to include them. Hope you guys enjoy it, carry on and much love xoxo

Chapter 4: Bad Blood

Lyanna sighed as she hung up the phone, she had just spent the last twenty minutes convincing Jake that she really was just taking care of family business and not, as Jake put it, 'reliving her glory days with her ex lover'. She was frustrated and honestly she was feeling confused. She thought she was completely over entertaining the thought of her and Dean, however the more time she spent with the brothers, the more she wished she had stayed and tried facing her fears six years ago, instead of running from them. Lyanna had offered to stay behind while Dean and Sam went looking for information on this girl, Anna Milton.

Dean pushed the hotel door open and took off his suit jacket, swapping it out for his casual wear, "So Anna escaped the hospital. Her Dad was a deacon, we're heading to her old church, hoping she'll be there." he explained, tossing Lyanna a gun from his bag, "I know you prefer to use your magic, but keep this on you just in case." he said

Lyanna nodded, "Did you find anything else out about this girl?" she asked, slipping on her boots

"Apparently, she knew about the apocalypse, and the seals." Dean replied, "She had drawings, I'm guessing she's like a beacon for the angels." he shrugged as they locked up the hotel room and joined Sam who was waiting in the car

Lyanna slid into the backseat, "You know your cool little demon knife?" she said to the boys, "I think I found a way to make another one." she grinned, "I've been delving into the darker side of witchcraft." she added, which received a concerned glance from Dean

"Is that a good idea?" Dean frowned, "Don't need you going off the rails on us."

Lyanna rolled her eyes, "I'm a big girl, Dean. I'll be fine." she laughed, "Plus it would be helpful to have a backup knife, would it not?"

Sam nodded, "Yeah, it's not a terrible idea." he said, "Work on it as soon as you can." he added

They pulled up to the church and got out of the car, Dean pulled Lyanna back before she walked to the door, "Stay out here. Be sure to keep an eye out. If anyone looks suspicious, come get us." he told her

Lyanna thought about arguing, but remained quiet and nodded as the brothers made their way into the church.

Lyanna had been waiting outside for about fifteen minutes when she was tapped on the shoulder, "Dean and Sam with you?" Ruby asked, motioning for Lyanna to follow her inside

"Yeah, why what's up?" Lyanna frowned, walking quickly behind Ruby as she made her way to the attic, busting the door open "You got the girl? Good let's go!" Ruby demanded, as Anna backed away claiming Ruby's face was wrong "We have to hurry!" she added

"Why?" Dean asked, rolling his eyes

"Cause a demon's coming, big timer, we can fight later Dean." Ruby snapped

"Well that's pretty convenient, showing up right when we find the girl with some bigwig on your tail." Dean scoffed

"I didn't bring him here, you did." Ruby replied, "He followed you from the girls house. We gotta go now."

Sam glanced at the statue in the corner and frowned when he noticed it's eyes were bleeding, "Dean.."

Ruby sighed, "It's too late." she said, grabbing Lyanna and pushing her towards Dean and Anna "He's here."

Lyanna snapped into focus and grabbed Anna's hand, "Hi, I'm Lyanna, a friend of Dean and Sam's." she smiled, as Sam ushered the two girls into the closet

"Okay, stay in there. Lya, keep her safe." Sam said, giving the two girls a quick smile and shutting the door

Lyanna moved in front of Anna, "You ok?" she whispered

Anna nodded, "I'm good." she said as she studied Lyanna with an amused look on her face, "What are you?" she asked, furrowing her brow

"Oh, I'm a witch." Lyanna replied, "Runs in my family." she shrugged

Anna shook her head, "No, that's not it." she frowned, "There's something else." she whispered

Lyanna flinched as the door opened and Ruby grabbed the girls, making an exit with them while the demon was distracted fighting the Winchesters.

Lyanna was sitting on the couch at the cabin in the woods, watching Anna who passed out shortly after arriving there with Lyanna and Ruby

"So you're a witch huh?" Ruby asked, pacing the room, trying to think of the best way to get word to the boys

"Uh, yeah, goes back generations." Lyanna shrugged, "How're we gonna get a hold of Sam and Dean?" she asked

"I'm working on that." Ruby replied, "I just need you to stay with the girl, make sure she doesn't freak out when she wakes up." she said

"Okay, but-" Lyanna started but when she looked up all she saw was Ruby's body on the floor, "I hate demons." she muttered

About a half hour passed and Sam and Dean had just got to the cabin. Anna was awake now and sitting beside Lyanna on the couch when the boys walked in

"Anna are you ok?" Sam asked, the same time Dean asked Lyanna the same question

Lyanna gave a quick nod, "Not a hair outta place." she smiled

"Yeah, I think so." Anna replied, "Ruby's not like other demons. She saved my life." she smiled

"Yeah, I hear she does that." Dean said, glancing from Sam to Ruby, "I guess I, uh, you know.." he stammered

"What?" Ruby asked, folding her arms over her chest

"I guess I owe you for Sam, and Lya." Dean said, "And I just wanna… you know?" he added, clearing his throat

Ruby rolled her eyes slightly, "Don't strain yourself." she said

"Okay, then. Is the moment over?" Dean snipped, "Good, cause that was awkward."

Anna asked if she could call her parents, and the others in the room exchanged glances. Sam stepped forward to break the news to her about her parents being dead.

Lyanna walked over to Dean, "Are you alright?" she asked, gingerly touching his cheek where dried blood was stained

"Just a little demon fight, nothin' we couldn't handle." Dean shrugged, shifting a step away from Lyanna. She was doing it again, treating him like they were still together, and it was too easy for him to get sucked into, so he distanced himself.

"They're coming!" Anna shouted, covering her ears and looking around the room, her face full of panic

"The back room." Dean commanded, grabbing Anna and locking her away from them

The four others grabbed the bag of supplies, Ruby frowned when she couldn't find the knife in the bag "Where's the knife?" she asked

"Uh, about that.." Dean started, as he glanced at Ruby then at Sam

"You're kidding?" Ruby exclaimed, clearly angry

"Hey, don't look at me." Dean shrugged as he stood by the window

Sam glared at Dean, "Hey, thanks a lot." he sighed

Ruby rolled her eyes, "Great. Just peachy. Impeccable timing, guys, really." she snapped

Lyanna shushed Ruby as she joined the back of the group pointing her gun at the front door, she squinted as she heard a faint humming and a slight pressure building up near the back of her ears, "I don't think it's demons, guys.." she strained, grounding herself as she kept her gun on the door

The door flew open and there was a whooshing sound that followed, then a man in a beige trench coat came through the door, a man in a black suit stood beside him. Dean seemed to have recognized him cause Lyanna noticed his posture relaxed slightly, Lyanna realized one of these men, she guessed the one with the trench coat was Castiel "Please tell me you're here to help. We've been having demon issues all day." Dean sighed

"I can see that." the man in the black suit said, "Care to explain why you have that stain in the room?" he spat, looking at Ruby

The man wearing the trench coat, Castiel spoke, "We're here for Anna."

Dean's eyes narrowed, "Here for her like 'here for her'?"

"Stop talking." Spat the man in the suit, "Give her to us."

"Are you gonna help her?" Sam asked

"No." Castiel replied, there was a beat, "She has to die."

Sam frowned as he looked at Castiel, "You want Anna? Why?"

"Out of the way." the other angel snapped, taking a step towards the group

"Whoa, okay, I know she's wiretapping your angel chats or whatever, but it's not a reason to gank her." Dean said, shaking his head

The other angel smirked, "Don't worry, I'll kill her gentle."

Dean scoffed, "You're some heartless sons of bitches, you know that?"

Lyanna caught the eye of Castiel, and he tilted his head at her as a perplexed look crossed his face "As a matter a fact we are. And?" Castiel replied, but he still had his eyes on Lyanna

"And, Anna's an innocent girl." Sam defended

Castiel shook his head, "She is far from innocent." he replied

"What's that mean?" Sam frowned

"It means she's worse than these two abominations you've both been screwing." black suit angel growled, glancing from Ruby to Lyanna, "Now give us the girl!"

Dean and Sam exchanged a glance, as Lyanna slowly moved towards the door where Anna was, it was about to be fight time and everybody had their places

"Sorry." Dean smirked, "Get yourself another one. Try JDate." he quipped

"Who's gonna stop us? You two?" black suit angel snickered, "Or this demon whore?" he yelled as he grabbed Ruby by the arm and threw her against the wall, a pining her there

Dean shot into action and went to hit him in the back of the head but he turned in an instant, and grabbed Dean's fist, twisting it and using his other hand to punch Dean in the face

"Cass, stop. Please." Sam begged as he backed up towards Lyanna and the door of the room Anna was in. Castiel didn't reply he simply placed his fingers on Sam's forehead and Sam dropped to the ground

Lyanna frowned when she saw how easy Sam went down and she dropped her gun, placing her hand in front of her as she started an incantation, "I'm immune to witches." Castiel said, placing his fingers to Lyanna's forehead, his face fell slightly when nothing happened and she remained standing in front of him, "What are you?" he asked, pushing past her and grabbing the door handle. As he did a bright light flashed, hitting the two angels seemingly casting them away, as they were no longer in the room when the light vanished

"What the hell?" Dean mumbled as he helped Ruby to her feet

Lyanna was already in the room with Anna who had blood all over her arms and on the mirror in front of her, where a sigil was drawn "Are they gone?" Anna asked, as Dean rushed in and started wrapping her arms, "Did you kill them?" he asked

"No.I sent them away. Far away" Anna replied, glancing at the mirror

"Wanna tell me how?" Dean questioned

"That just popped into my head." Anna said, "I don't know how I did it. I just did it." she added.

After they bandaged Anna up they decided they needed to get somewhere safe. Lyanna suggested Bobby's and the boys agreed, remembering he had the safe room in his basement. Ruby agreed to take Anna while the boys and Lyanna left to get the Impala and their things from the hotel. The drive was quiet, and Lyanna was tired, all she wanted to do was sleep, especially because her head was still sore from when the angels had appeared, she rubbed her temples and tapped Sam's shoulders "Do we have tylenol?" she asked

Sam nodded and grabbed a container from the glove box, "You ok?" he asked, turning around as he handed her the bottle

"No. Those angels did a number on my head." Lyanna frowned

"What do you mean?" Dean asked, looking at Lyanna from the rearview mirror

"Uh, when they were coming… I heard like-a-a loud humming, and then there was this intense pressure, almost like when you're flying." Lyanna explained

Sam gave Dean a look as he cleared his throat, "Hey, did Castiel do that finger thing to you?" he asked, which received a weird look from Lyanna and a chuckle from Dean

"Wanna rephrase that, man?" Dean said with a smirk

Sam huffed, "Not what I-No, what I meant is, did he knock you out when he tapped your head?"

Lyanna shook her head, "No. Um, he tried it. But, well, it didn't work." she said with a shrug

"And you don't find that strange?" Dean asked, "Sammy went down like a ton of bricks, but you-all one hundred pounds of you-nadda." he added, raising an eyebrow

Lyanna sighed "He asked what I was." she frowned, "And I don't think he meant a witch." she added

Sam sighed as he shifted in his seat to look back out at the road, "Great." he said, "So now we've got angels after Anna, and apparently Lya is something- what- I don't know- more powerful than an angel?" he floundered

Dean gripped the steering wheel a little tighter as he thought about what Lyanna and Sam had just said. He knew this wasn't good, they had angels after Anna, and now Lyanna was on their radar too, "Look once we get to Bobby's we'll figure out what to do. With everyone." he replied, "Let's just take it one problem at a time, okay?"

Lyanna nodded and let out a yawn. It would be a few hours before they got to Bobby's and since her head was still killing her she decided the best thing she could do right now was sleep. Maybe with a bit of shut eye she would have a clearer head about what exactly they were going to do about their angel problem. The last thing she remembered was hearing CCR's Bad Moon Rising playing from the car's speakers as it lulled her slowly to sleep.
