Sweet Twisted Bonds

It was on April 20th. The 110th day of the year.

A normal one for most people. While for others, it was the anniversary of some important historical event. Like the day Pasteur and Bernard disproved the theory of spontaneous generation in 1862 or the landing on the moon of the Apollo 16 in 1972.

And finally, of course, for some it was the day they were born.

Katsuki Bakugo was one of those people, and it was part of the reason behind his current predicament: Locked in an underground bunker in the middle of nowhere.

Just to clear any misunderstanding, he was there by his own volition.

Maybe he was being petty -he was- and exaggerated -he definitely was-, but he didn't care to be mocked for it, as long as he could enjoy his fucking birthday on his own fucking terms.

As far away from her as possible.

He shuddered.

His last year´s birthday had been so fucking terrible. All because those morons he considered his friends -not that he was going to ever admit it out loud, not even in his death-bed- decided to play her damn game and ruin his great day. Just as they did the year before that one, and the year before that one, and the year before− well, I think you understand already.

So instead of having a normal party or simply passing his birthday however he fucking wanted, the circumstances forced him to hide five meters underground where no one would look for him. And the only ways he had to pass the time were to watch TV or try to drink himself to death.

This wasn't as he expected to pass his twentieth one birthday.

"I'm the fucking No.1 Hero for fuck´s sake!" He threw the can of beer at the TV and heard perfectly as it short-circuited and went off.

Well, no TV, then.

And now he was too pissed to try to get drunk, so no fucking nothing, then.

"The No.1… What a fucking joke."

His young self would slap him with a brick after hearing that. But the little runt would have no idea of how empty had been to finally accomplish his dream.

Been declared the number one meant nothing if it was just a title and not an actual fact. He supposed now he could relate to that piece of shit of Endeavor, as sad as that was.

He -Grounds Zero- was the number one, sure, but the distance between her and him was so fucking huge, his place on the ranking lost its meaning.

And to think everything had started sixteen years ago when he got his amazing 'Explosion' while she only got a lame ass boost-type Quirk.

'Bonds' was its name. In her own words, it boosted her according to the number of people that liked her. He thought it was the perfect cheesy and useless Quirk for a ridiculous weird girl who couldn't do shit by herself. As if anyone would truly like her, anyway.

Or at least that's what he thought at the time.

When he finally realized he had underestimated her unrelentingoptimism and the way she looked everything through pink-tinted glasses, it was too late. She was already on the way to becoming a fucking monster.

Talking about monsters. Suddenly, he heard some footsteps above him.

Katsuki didn't move an inch as he tried to comprehend the situation.

There shouldn't be anyone around. All the area had been completely desolated two years ago during their final battle against the League of Paranormal Freaks or whatever they fucking called themselves. So the closest city was about a kilometer from there.

And yet…

"K̸̛̳̈́̐̏̋̎͗̌͗̎̇̈ẵ̵̪͍̊̒͑͂͑̈̚c̸̞̯̖̤̮͍̼̐̆̉͒̚c̵̗̄͆́̀̆̋͗̿̏͛̄̎̄̑̕h̵͇̣̻̥͓̯̰͕̗̭̠͇̾̈͌̒a̷̪͉̦̞͚͚̻̤̣̫̖͔̱͎̦̔͋̓̾̍͋̊͠n̷͙̈́͂̄,̶̬̞͌͑̎̚ ̶̧̫͈̖͍͓͔̰͚̚a̷̧̩̯̟͇̼̗͔͉̪̓ͅr̴̦̘̞͔͈̦̘̗̤͋ḛ̴̡̨̣̤̰̼̯̤̙̟̹̀ͅ ̴̺̪͖̼͙̲̯̩̙̋͂͊̌͐̐̂͘͜͝y̵̟͔͖̰͎̜̮̪̻̳̙̹͓̔͜͜o̷̧͕͚̝̩͉̳̳͚͔̬̍̓̈́̊͌̓̏̒͌̂̒ŭ̴̡̬̙̦͕̃́̅̚ ̶͉̦̍́̄͐̉̉͛̃̿̓͘̕t̵̜̠͕͉̲̤͌͐͒́̉̓̍͆́̓̈́͌̕͝h̴͚̙̹͍́̈́̽̑̐̀͂̌̾͂̈́̍̕͝͝ẻ̴̖̝͚̟͎̜̙̳͍̔͆̓͌͋̆̇̍̄r̸̨̭̻̙̗͖͖̭͚̗̰̦͇̮̋̇̒͗͐͐̈̽̓̚e̷̗͙̦̹̘̹̼͔͙̫͖͑͗?̴̘̗̦̱̗̜͓̫͍̜̿̃̆͐̇͜"

Katsuki flinched at hearing the otherworldly voice. It had taken him all his mental fortitude not to groan in frustration.

How the hell did she found him?! He made sure of buying the damn bunker all by himself to stop the info from leaking.

He didn't answer.

The crazy guy who sold him the bunker bragged about how nothing -not even his explosions- would be able to make a scratch on it.

And yet, her green arm pierced through the closed entry as if it was butter, and then used her other hand to make the hole bigger, letting herself fall inside.

"Fuck." He stared at the green being.

It was Izumi Midoriya, or how he preferred to call her, Deku. His old childhood friend. Now, the Hero Association´s main enforcer and Number Zero Pro-Hero, better known as the hero who befriends and protects, Kizuna.

Like every time they crossed paths, he couldn't fully believe how much she had changed. Especially since five years ago, once her deceitful innocent-looking appearance was replaced by her current looks, finally showing her true nature.

Her once-friendly green eyes now glowed white. Her hair floated unnaturally not unlike Eraserhead´s and her skin was totally covered by a constant flow of emerald and white energy.

If Deku could even stop her Quirk from making her look like that, she sure never did it. So, beyond her still petite feminine figure, she barely seemed human anymore.

The only thing that hadn't changed about her was her hero costume, still the same green jumpsuit she used towards the end of their first year on UA. But it was probably more because of nostalgia than anything else.

After all, there was no need for the costume to be improved, not when the person underneath was already quite invulnerable to everything.

"H̶̡̡̘̘̰̻̰̦͖͙͇̉́̃̀̿̊̈͘̚͝͝͝į̶̥̫̱͚͍̟̱̅̈́̈̋,̴͓͎̩͓̞͉̺̔͋̇͗̍̆̈́́̒̏̇̔̅͜͝ ̸̧̣̳̤̭̩̦͚̣̲̹̩̓̔̒͊̒͒͘ͅK̴̨̹̜̙̟̬̯̥͖͎̖̹͎̲͎̅̑̅a̴̱͎͓͗̇̍̉͒̕ͅc̴̛͈̞̯̹̜̖̘̣̟͎̥͂̊͑́̐͆̽̎̓̍̈́̐́͜͠ͅć̸̹̗̝̗̱̼̻h̸̢̛̜̀͌̊à̸̢͉̠̥̜̗̣͙̖̹̍͒̚̕͝n̷̹̦̠͕̩͆͐̓̍̏̎̋̄̊̅̚," Her voice came out again, sounding like a demonic aberration wanting to drag him to deepest pits of hell.

Besides her looks, the way she sounded was another of the reasons she was practically deemed as the personification of the Grim Reaper by most villains -the ones who weren't brain-dead stupid, at least.

And yet, she was the same person shitty-hair somehow found cute, the damn weirdo.

"Stop sounding like that, Deku! It's fucking gross!"

"Į̶͕͉͐͠s̷͓͍͖̻̠͍̟̩̞̣͗̏̏ ̷̢̻̖̯̠͍̹͚͓̞̙̠͇̅̀̀ͅͅi̵̛̘̗͙̪̩͉͂̀̉̕t̴̡̬͚̭̜̣͍̟̥̭̝̱̉͆?̷̧̫͓̼͍̤͙̻̭̈́"

"YES!"

"S̴̡̗̬̻͙̼̟͖͕̬̮̪̲̝̒̽͌̎͌͐̊̃̎͊͠͝͠o̴̡̲̥͕̻͕̘̯͐̆̈́́̇̚͘͜͝ͅr̴̻̩͇͒ŗ̸̻̥̩̝̯͙̲͓̀̈́́̌͐̏̓̐̚ÿ̸̨͉̎̇͊͘͘." She cleared her throat. "Is this better?"

He cringed; it certainly was better, or at least bearable enough. But it still felt as if he could fill his ears with cement and yet her damn voice would still find a way to his brain. "Fucking perfect. How did you even find me?"

She tilted her head. "Found you…? Did you get lost? Because I always know where you are, Kacchan. I always know where anyone important for me is." She didn't realize how creepy that was. For Izumi, it was just the expected thing to know as his friend. "Anyway, let's go to your birthday party already, Kacchan! Everyone is waiting. If we don't hurry, Denki-kun and Mina-chan will steal all the cake again."

She tried to grab his hand to pull him towards the exit, but he swatted hers away.

"I can fucking walk by myself, Deku. But in any case, I'm not going anywhere."

"You aren't coming to the party?" If Deku's face still had the capacity of actually reflecting any kind of expression she would probably be frowning.

"Of course fucking NOT!" He threw an explosion at his side, even knowing she was so used to them she barely reacted anymore.

He had to save face, at least.

"Why not? Is not boring to be here just by yourself?"

It sure was. But that wasn't the point.

"That's not your problem, Deku. Just fucking leave."

He had to oppose her, no matter how futile it was. Katsuki had to defend what remained of his squashed pride, knowing that if Deku wanted, she could literally drag him to the party.

Heck, she could very well maim him or worse. She had the capacity. But he knew she wasn't going to ever do something like that, no matter how much of an asshole he was.

Because he was her friend. And in Izumi´s eyes, friends never fight or hurt each other.

Any hostile stranger was fair game, though.

"I can't do that, Kacchan! Everyone worked so hard to make you an amazing party. I can't disappoint them by not bringing you!"

That didn't stop her from being a little shit about it and keep annoying him until he eventually accepted her whims.

"Well, fucking sad, then! I already said I won't go and that's final!"

"Really...?"

But that's how things went with Deku. Not matter if you were a friend or a foe, she would always be the one to laugh at the end.

"YES, REALLY!"

"But"

"But nothing!" He glared at the luminescent young woman, while she stared back.

Most people would feel awkward about this, but not him. Everything was a charade and he knew it. He lost this the very moment Deku found him.

"That's unfair, Kacchan!" She crossed her arms and looked down while pouting. At least, he assumed that's what she was doing, trying to look cute or something.

It wasn't working at all.

Coming from someone who was like a hundred times stronger than him, it was kind of pathetic, actually.

He narrowed his eyes, feeling quite annoyed that she thought this was going to convince him.

It did.

Katsuki threw in the trash bin the stupid party hat Izumi had forced on his head, and walked to the back of the room, towards the drinks table.

The damn place was so noisy with the stupid music and almost everyone dancing around like idiots…

But he would be lying if he said he hadn't danced. It would be a lie if he said it hadn't been fun too.

Everyone was there. Everyone that mattered.

His parents, auntie Inko, his classmates, All Might, Eraserhead, and Present Mic.

He snorted.

Looking around he could see Shitty-hair and Deku being a pair of nauseating dolts, Pikachu drooling on the ground completely wasted, auntie acting as everyone´s chaperone despite the fact they were technically adults while All Might did a fucking bad job at trying to invite her to dance, bird-face and frog-face were dancing over a table while everyone clapped. And so much more stupidness...

"So, enjoying the party?" That was round-face. "Or are you already thinking about where to hide next year? Another country maybe?" Damn her, being all cheeky on him just because she was fucking hot.

He glared at the brunette. "I don't hide from anybody… But All Might told me New Zealand was fucking sweet on April." He passed her a drink and took one for himself.

Everything was so stupid.

It ended up being a good birthday party, though.

This was a random idea that came to me when I thought of some kind of yandere fem! Izuku. Being all overprotective of the people she cared for, and too OP for anyone to possibly mess with her.

If someone has problems imagining how Izumi looks, think on the shadowy Gon from HxH before revealing his adult form or Naruto after losing control over the Kyuby chakra. Basically a monsterish being of pure energy.

It was a bit of a crack idea just for fun. I probably will continue it at a later date, but by now it's just this oneshot.
