Tenya
Tenya blinks at the screen rapidly. His glasses are on but it feels like his vision's impaired somehow.
They'd all gathered downstairs for a movie marathon. Camie is the type of person that claims she really wants to watch a movie and not watch the movie. She currently has her hand in his pants, stroking him like his friends aren't literally one foot away.
She's looking directly at him, waiting for him to notice, to stop her, to bring her upstairs, something, anything. But Tenya grits his teeth and continues staring at the screen like he isn't losing his sanity.
He'd given up on trying to follow the plot half an hour ago, when Camie had first started her little game, now he's simply trying to distract himself from finishing. He can't imagine what their reactions would be. And his parents would be so ashamed. He'd have to throw himself out of his own house.
Tenya musters the strength to look over at the woman responsible for his downfall. Camie winks back and gives him an extra hard squeeze.
His eyes dart away in an attempt to distract himself. Bakugou is sitting beside her, glaring at the screen like the movie is offensive on a personal level. Kirishima is sitting to his right with Mina in his lap.
Upon further inspection he sees nearly all of them are cuddled up in some way. All of them except Bakugou and Uraraka, that is. Still, it makes him feel slightly less terrible about getting fondled during a movie.
Uraraka is sitting as far away from Bakugou as possible. She's on the floor by Tsu's side, flanking her with Midoriya.
"You ate all the popcorn?" Jirou asks, pelting an unpopped kernel at Kaminari.
He catches it in his mouth and rolls it between his molars. "I can make some more later."
"No, don't worry. I'll do it." Uraraka offers, rising up from the carpet.
Tenya watched her go back into the kitchen and jumps at the opportunity to momentarily escape from Camie's grasp.
That isn't the only reason he wants to go though. He's been thinking about that fight all week and enough is enough. Since there's no getting through to Bakugou, he figures she's his best bet.
He walks over as casually as possible to see her fumbling with the microwave. His arm reaches past her and clicks the setting for popcorn.
"Fancy," she remarks.
"That's right," he smiles.
She smiles back and lifts herself onto the counter to face him. "Enjoying the movie?"
Fear flits over his face as he wonders if she'd seen them. She couldn't have. Camie's hand was covered under the blanket in his lap. There's no way.
"Yes." he clears his throat. "And yourself?"
She shrugs. "I guess."
Tenya's face softens. He hates seeing her unhappy. He feels partly responsible because he'd brought her here to enjoy the holidays and so far, he's mostly seen her upset.
He takes a step closer to her. "Uraraka, are you still bothered by what Bakugou said to Midoriya?"
She shrugs again.
He sighs. "I myself don't understand why Midoriya puts up with it."
"Neither do I." she shakes her head.
"What you did for Midoriya is admirable but if there's anything I've learned about them it's that they have their own language. If he were honestly hurt, I'm certain that night would've gone down much differently."
The kernels pop violently. "I'm pretty sure he was hurt, Iida."
"I'm not saying he wasn't," he tells her, "But we don't have any right to be more offended than he is. So if he's choosing to let it go, I think you should too."
The microwave beeps. Uraraka stares down at the tile and neither of them reaches for it.
"No, I know." she mumbles. "I've been meaning to, but. I don't know."
Tenya sets a warm palm over her shoulder and gives it a small press. "There's no reason for you to hold onto this and hurt yourself for it. It's unfitting for the season. We all hate seeing you like this. And I know Bakugou does too, you should consider talking things out with him and Midoriya."
She takes a deep breath and nods to herself. "Yeah, you're right. I was waiting for him to apologize to Deku, but I think I'll talk to him tomorrow."
He smiles and opens the microwave. "Wonderful."
She smiles back and gets off the counter to hug him. "I guess I was kinda dragging things on for too long. He drives me insane, I swear."
"Yes, well," he gives her a right embrace. "He is quite a handful."
"He's more than just a handful." she rolls her eyes. "Thanks, Iida. For everything."
"Of course."
"I guess I'll talk to them both tomorrow and things will go back to normal."
"Thank you," he sighs, "I don't know if you've noticed but we've all been on edge."
"Really? Aw, I'm sorry!" she gets on her tip toes to peck his cheek.
It's hard to resist not kissing back. He adores her to pieces. He presses his lips to her cheek and plants a small kiss there.
They transfer the popcorn to the bowl and walk back outside.
Uraraka resumes her seat beside Tsu and Midoriya and Tenya takes his place by Camie and she continues her sensual stroking again. Tenya's glad the credits start rolling because he doesn't think he could last another minute.
