Harry Potter: King of the Amazons

Chapter 13

After recovering the Philosopher's Stone and killing Voldemort's host he made his way back through the different, now ruined, traps and was met by Dumbledore, Snape, and McGonagall in the Cerberus Room. The trio had quickly tried confronting him about what happened but he just brushed them off and told them that the stone was safe and the matter had been resolved. Later that day the Groundskeeper Hagrid, whom he hadn't interacted with much, came to him to ask about the Cerberus. After explaining that the beast had been in pain and taken away for medical care the giant man thanked him and returned to his hut.

He then returned to his island and had the Stone put into his treasury immediately before heading out to find his family. Finding them in the room of the Citadel that had been put aside to relax in he quickly sat down in his armchair and began telling his family about what had happened with the stone. Partway through his story Hygeia had appeared and told him that she had found the problem with the Cerberus. The beast had been kept in the small room for almost a year without being able to leave and had been given very little food which greatly reduced her health and endangered the lives of the litter she was carrying. He had been shocked to find out that the Cerberus was a female and had been attempting to birth her pups during the whole situation. Unfortunately due to her deteriorated health the mother cerberus hadn't survived giving birth to the litter but the puppies were being cared for and would soon be back to full health.

He had sent a letter to the giant man, Hagrid, shortly afterward to explain the situation and, after a couple of weeks, the man had responded and asked him to care for the litter and thanked him for trying to help the mother cerberus or 'fluffy' as the man called her.

Towards the end of the summer a small creature that Hestia called a 'house elf' appeared in his citadel and tried to order him to not go back to Hogwarts for his second year but was quickly driven off by Darna who was angry at someone trying to order him around.

The rest of the summer was spent playing with his five children, managing his nation, and raising the litter of three cerberus puppies who his children had taken to.

Eventually he received his letter that contained his book list for his second year at Hogwarts and he made his way over to Diagon Alley where he met the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, a man named Gilderoy Lockheart. The vain fool had spent the entire time in the bookshop posing for cameras and, upon noticing him, attempting to pull him into the camera's view and get more attention. He quickly rendered the man unconscious by striking the pommel of his sword into the back of the man's head.

After collection his books, and brushing off the rantings of a red haired banshee woman that he discovered to be the mother of Ron Weasley, he returned to his Island until it was time to return back to the School.

Eventually on September first he once again bored the train bound for Hogwarts with some of his family with him. The School year quickly measured up like the previous one had, with Professor Flitwick letting him study ahead, Transfiguration and Potions being an inconvenience due to the teachers, Herbology and History being completely useless, and Defense turning out to be a joke. Lockheart spent more time trying to teach about himself than he did the actual subject.

His eight friends in Slytherin continued to train alongside him, the girls with the warrior training and the boys with the training for their respective professions, and tended to stick with him whenever they could. An interesting addition to his group had been Neville Longbottom from Gryffindor. Last year the once timid boy had showed that he didn't like people talking bad about Harry, and had even sent him the stolen Cloak, but now that boy was completely gone. In his place as a Neville Longbottom that was confident, the new Neville walked the halls with his head held high and his back straight.

About a month into the school year in the beginning of October an event happened that, to his later chagrin, earned himself and his friends the title of 'Hadrian and the Nine Titans' or just 'Hadrian and the Nine' by the rest of the school. The fathers of Elizabeth, Markus, Maria, and Damian arrived at the school to try and force their heirs to 'fall into line'.

The moment that the two men barged into the Great Hall he had been on his feet with his sword in hand while Daphne and Tracey each lofted their spears, which he had them carrying around to get used to their weight, as Maria and Elizabeth drew axes. While they did this Theo and Blaise drew their wands and each selected a target as Markus and Damian did the same thing with bows. Neville then made his way over to them and drew his wand as well to show his support. He demanded that the two leave the grounds and when they refused he used the magic of the school to remove them from the grounds. He knew his friends would have tried to fight alongside him and he didn't trust their skills enough yet to fight against two seasoned warriors of those bloodlines.

On Halloween night he had been attending the DeathDay Party of the Gryffindor Ghost, Sir Nicholas De Mimsy Porpington, when he heard screams echo through the castle. Quickly rushing to the source of the sound he found a hallway flooded with water and a group of students staring at a wall that had a petrified cat and words written in blood stating:

The Chamber of Secrets has Been Opened

Enemies of the Heir, Beware

It had taken a great bit of effort to clear his name of the event and eventually he had been forced to make a magically binding oath proving that he had nothing to do with those events along with having his alibi confirmed by the ghosts from the party.

After that event he had Propheta and her assistants scouring his library for any reference to the so called 'Chamber of Secrets', hoping to find out what was going on.

Shortly after the discovery of the blood on the wall and the petrified cat, Mrs. Norris, he had found the announcement of a dueling club which he decided to attend to see if it would be any good. To his disgust the club was run by Gilderoy Lockheart who was only making another attempt to bolster his own image. After watching an exhibition match between Snape and Lockheart, which amused him, he had been called up to go against Narcissa's son Draco who looked at him with a look of misplaced superiority. The fool tried using a spell to summon a snake only to recoil in horror when he used Parsletongue to control the serpent.

His display had resulting in him having to remind the students of Hogwarts of his oath which proved that he was not the one behind the attacks

As the year progressed several muggleborns students were attacked in different locations throughout the castle and he had yet to discover anything in his library about the Chamber's location or what was inside it. One day Darna came to him having overheard that Hagrid had been expelled fifty years before for opening up the chamber so, deciding that Hagrid might have the most information, he made his way down to the man's hut.

After being let into the hut Darna reappeared and informed them about Cornelius Fudge, Albus Dumbledore, and Lucius Malfoy coming this way to arrest Hagrid. After quickly verifying that Hagrid had not opened the Chamber of Secrets, having the man give a magical oath with a borrowed wand to prove it, he offered Hagrid sanctuary on his Island and a job caring for the Cerberus puppies and any other animals on the Island. The man readily accepted, clearly hurt that Dumbledore was coming to aid the men trying to arrest him.

Hagrid gave him one final piece of advice, to follow the spiders, before Darna apperated the man to the island and he left the hut before following a trail of Spiders like the man had suggested. At the end of the trail he had met a colony of Giant Spiders from whom he learned that the beast in the Chamber was their sworn enemy and they could not speak of it and that the last time the Chamber had been opened a girl had died in a bathroom. The giant spider let him leave after learning that he was protecting Hagrid and planning on removing their enemy from the School.

Quickly making his way to the Island he gave the information to Propheta who had quickly brought him a book of magical creatures and they had discovered that the creature was a basilisk. He spent the rest of the night in contemplation on where the Chamber might be when he remembered about what the giant Spider had said about the girl dying in a bathroom and how there was a bathroom haunted by a girl who had been a student.

The next day he left the citadel and made his way to visit the Ghost of Moaning Myrtle.
