AN: Hey Everyone, I had originally planned to do this big updated to celebrate big news. I recently wrote an original Short Story and aim to publish it. I had planned to release this big update to announce it, but the copyright center is taking far longer to get back to me than I expected so I'm just going to go ahead and post it now. I'll prepare another when the copyright actually goes through.

AN2: The only non-canon spell is the one for electricity as I couldn't find any spells related to lightning in the canon. The rest are legitimate and recognized spells.

King of the Amazons

Chapter 28

-Harry-

The arena was silent as the grave, the dragon matching his gaze as he slowly began to circle the ring, the dragon standing protectively over it's clutch of eggs. He had to keep the beast calm till he got to the point in the arena he needed to start the battle, the terrain where he had started not suitable for his strategy. "Hurry up already!" a bored spectator wearing scarlet and gold shouted, shattering the silence as the dragon's eyes widened and it roared out a gout of flame.

Cursing, his calm walk turned into a sprint, diving into a roll to avoid the flame till he got to an area with the proper stonework. "Bombarda maxima!" he shouted, blasting the ground as stones and even small boulders flew skyward "Depulso!" and with that they became a hail of stone missiles at the dragon. Screeching in rage the dragon lashed out with its spiked tail, destroying most of the rocks into pebbles while the rest bounced off or impacted against the hide.

Hissing the Horntail grabbed a large tree with its teeth, ripping it from the ground before throwing it his direction. "Reducto!" Harry snarled, blasting the tree to splinters before going through a spell chain he had spent two weeks mastering over the summer, a combination of the matchstick to needle spell, a banisher, and then imbuing the needles with electricity so a swarm of electric needles impact the dragons hide. The needles didn't do as much as he would have liked but they did a decent chunk of damage and got the dragon's attention.

"My word this is incredible!" Bagman cheered like an excited child "Mr. Potter is actually fighting the dragon in direct combat! Let's see if he can keep the pace, up shall we?" snorting at how easily impressed the man was Harry kept running in a circle about the arena, not giving the dragon a stationary target and limited in what spells he can use by the face that he wished to avoid destroying the eggs.

"Relashio!" a voice shouted from the stands as a ball of red light shot out and hit the dragon's restraints, the chains shattering as the beast roared, stretching out its wings in joy at its newfound freedom. Ignoring the crowds screams he cursed and began charging up a spell, focusing over half of his magic into the powerful enchantment, dodging gouts of fire, slashes of claws, and slams from the tail. The aurors were trying to push the crowd back, and catch the one who cast the spell, while the crowd wanted to watch. Nobody could interfere in the task without loosing their magic, meaning the one who released the dragon was now a squib, so he was on his own as the dragon sought to get revenge for the damage he had inflicted.

Finally, the spell was charged up enough "Draconifors!" he roared, using the spell taught in transfiguration the year before. The blast of magic rippled through the arena, turning boulders and trees into dragons. They were all far smaller than the horntail but larger than the original item they had been made from. "I…this is incredible!" Bagman's shock was at least earned this time "Mr. Potter has taken the Draconifors spell, a simple spell used to turn something into a simulacrum of a dragon and used it to make a small army of dragons with a single casting."

Climbing onto the back of the largest dragon he let out a battle cry as his army of transfigured beasts took to the sky and began to attack the horntail with claw and flame. The Horntail was larger, the horntail was stronger, but he had the numbers. For every transfigured dragon that fell to the earth, their death reverting the spell as boulders shattered and trees splintered to the ground, two more took their place. Blood rained down upon the field as they tore into the dragon.

"Reducto!" he shouted, aiming at a wing joint on the horntail, his earlier uses of the arrow shooting spell having done little to pierce the membrane of the wing. The spell impacted, and he saw the dragon waver in the air, but its scales held firm despite the pain. "More power then," he snarled as the dragon's attacks were damaging the arena and several spectators had already been injured, very few remaining to watch from the closer stands as they retreated behind ward lines used to keep the dragon contained "Deprimo!" the powerful spell blasted where his reducto had hit and shattered scale and bone, the wing flying away as the dragon screeched and crashed to the ground in the river, dazed as its head impacted a rock.

Soon enough though the dragon began to stir, even as his remaining transfigured beasts tore at its hide. Using his spell to direct them he had them attack the throat to crack or pry off the scales. The dragon screeches in fury before flaming them all, the clustered drakes dying in droves till only his own mount was left. Focusing the remainder of his magic for one last spell Harry ordered his mount to charge the Horntail, the dragon standing up on its back legs to roar and rage. Leaping off from his mount at the last-minute Harry saw it impact the horntail, dealing one last attack to the scales at the throat before dying.

"Difindo!" he roared, pumping the last of his magic into the spell as the cutting curse sprung into being, burning through the air as it hit the dragons throat, the damaged scales doing nothing to stop it as the spell cut through them and the throat, almost beheading the massive beast, its sinewy neck dangling on a hinge much like the ghost of Gryffindor. His joy was short lived before he hit the ground, his right leg breaking on impact as he let out a curse, ironically landing right beside the golden egg. Medics were rushing towards him before the dragon's corpse had even hit the ground, the school nurse along with his own private healers checking him for injury and casting spells to set his leg for the moment.

"-doubt anyone here today will ever forget what they saw here!" he heard Bagman finishing up his narration. "Mr. Potter finished in the fastest time at eleven minutes and twelve seconds! And now for the scores of the Judges. First, Bartemius Crouch from the British Ministry of Magic." The man pondered for a moment, possibly reviewing if there was anything to validate the removal of points, before pointing his wand skyward as a ribbon shot out and formed a nine, possibly taking off points for his broken leg. Ignoring the boos of the crowd at the lower score Bagman shot out his own score of a ten. "Now, Headmistress Narcissa Potter of Hogwarts." Smiling in proud relief, although he could see the fading fear in her eyes from his fight, she conjured a large ribbon which formed a ten in the air. "High master Igor Karkaroff of Durmstrang." Once more a nine was sent into the air but the high master did give him a nod of respect. "And finally, Jean-Luc of the French Ministry of Magic." At the name alone, the crowd was already booing and jeering and, upon seeing his score, he understood why and the loud protests from Cedric and Krum. A massive zero hung lazily in the air, its conjurer sitting in smug self-satisfaction.
