Perry & Doof

Doof was sitting in the coffee shop having a coffee, black, and a biscotti. Perry the Platypus was in the seat across the table with a simple chocolate square.
Heinz examined the biscuit in his hand and started one of his rants. "Why do they even call them biscotti? It's a cookie. It's a hard, dry, cookie. One can't even eat them without dipping them into a drink to soften them up. If I were to try to take a bite of this without dipping it into my coffee, I'd chip a tooth or crack a filling. I can't afford to get that fixed you know. The alimony I get from Charlene is to pay my bills every month, I don't exactly have any money left over to get extraneous dental work done... I need to finance my -inators."
Doof dipped the biscotti in his coffee and took a bite. "Another thing, because one has to dip the cookie... IT'S A COOKIE!" He raised his voice for no reason then continued. "...into one's coffee you get a sludge of soggy crumbs at the bottom of your cup. It's really rather unpleasant, Perry the Platypus. But you want to know something? Once softened up, they're actually really tasty."
Perry looked at the man sitting across from him then down at the chocolate square.
Dr. D. examined the soft chewy square his nemesis was nibbling on. "I should have gotten one of those for myself."
