Urdak
The doors to the building opened to a circular room. In the middle of the room William spotted the Khan Makyr floating a few feet above the ground. She seemed to be unconscious.
Red stared at the Khan Makyr in the shock, the body of the Khan Makyr was broken. If she previously aware of who she was looking at Red would have thought this was a demon.
She took out her sword and held it in her right hand.
"So...what do I do?" Red asked, looking towards the Makyr angel who was staring at a control panel.
Simply, point the blade at the Khan Makyr, the sword will automatically release the energy that is required for de-corruption. Red jumped as the sound of VEGA rang in her ears.
The Slayer dashed over to the control panel to see a small circular disk in a compartment below the control panel. He was about to take it out when the Makyr Angel spoke up.
"What are you doing?" It asked. William simply glared at it before ripping VEGA out.
"You don't need VEGA. You brought the apocalypse upon yourself, you survive by yourself." He said as he clipped the disc onto his belt.
The Makyr Angel stared before sighing and turning back to Red.
"You can proceed."
Red raised the sword towards the Khan Makyr and yelped in surprise as the sword began to glow yellow and released a yellow beam of energy which connected with the Khan Makyr. The beam suddenly vanished. Red stared at it in awe.
"Good, now in an hour or so she should revert back to normal." The Makyr Angel said.
"So, she's gonna help us find some girl that somehow can power the Icon of Sin?" William asked.
The Makyr Angel nodded.
"That is correct, I would suggest getting back to your dimension now, VEGA there will inform you when we are ready. I will activate the portal rings for you."William looked down at VEGA than back to the Makyr Angel, confused why it was letting him take VEGA so easily.
"Let's go." The Slayer stated and he walked out, closely followed by Red. They walked into another building and took a lift, ending up in some sort of arena.
"Why are we going here?" Red asked.
The Slayer walked to the edge of the Arena then pointed down towards the now activated portal.
"So we...jump?" Red asked. The second she said that William jumped down. Red ran to the edge just in time to see him disappear into the portal.
"Damn it..." Red said, before vaulting over the edge and into the portal.
The Fortress of Doom
Lucas turned to see William walking out of the portal, followed by Red who stumbled out.
"How'd it go?" Lucas asked.
"We did what the Angel told us. But we are gonna have to wait a little while before the Khan Makyr is ready to find what we are looking for." The Slayer replied.
"Well that's perfectly fine because we have another problem." Samuel said and turned to William before he stopped and eyed his belt.
"You took VEGA back from them?"
The Slayer just nodded.
"Well give him to me and I'll re-install him into the ship." Samuel said, extending a robotic hand. The Slayer unclipped VEGA from his belt and handed it over to Samuel who plugged him into a compartment under a control panel.
"VEGA, Status."
All systems are operational Doctor Hayden, what can I do for you?
"Give us a rundown on what's been happening on our two guests Earth recently.
It seems that within the last 24 hours the majority of the planets demonic presence has gathered just outside of New York City. My scans indicate that they seem to be building a super gore nest with the help of the Marauder. If the gore nest is complete the Shifters will be able to use it to bring in reinforcements. You must stop them.
"Holy shit..." Lucas muttered.
"How can we destroy this thing?" Red asked.
The Super Gore nest seems to be located on the surface of MT. Ebott. In order to destroy the nest you must travel inside the mountain and destroy the heart of the nest.
Red bit her lip.
"How far should we have to travel to find this heart?" Red asked.
Scans indicate the heart is about 4 miles underground. However there is a hole in mountain that should speed up the process.
Red sighed, that wasn't exactly what she meant.
William walked towards the edge of the bridge where a portal began to form.
"Let's go." William said before running through the portal.
Red was close behind, jumping in just seconds after. Lucas stared at the portal before muttering under his breath and jumping through the portal.
Castle of Torment
Asriel stared at the creature in shock. But blinked and continued to glare at it. It knew so much about him down to the interactions he had with Chara. But this had to be a coincidence.
"Why are you so hard to break?" Asriel stopped glaring as the Shifters mood changed from sarcasm to annoyance and a hint of anger.
It turned around fuming.
"For the last 30 years I have bended my victims to my will. Made them do whatever I Please. Now this resurrected goat comes along and won't give me a piece to this puzzle. Well I am DONE playing games. There is a reason threatening to rape Frisk doesn't break you. And that's because deep down you don't care. But I wonder, what happens when it's someone you do care about." The Shifter let out an evil laugh as a slipgate began to form in front of them. It turned around and smiled.
"I'll see you soon, and I'll have a surprise with me."
NYC
"N-no I-I didn't see anything. I-I was reading when I heard screams a-and loud noises. By the t-time I came downstairs to c-check what was going on. T-they were gone. J-just gone." Alphys said to Toriel over the phone. Asgore was currently at the table. He had recently arrived back at the airport and was escorted back to his home by Military Police.
"T-the police are h-here so m-maybe they can f-find something...I-I don't really k-know what's going on..."
"I hear you Alphys. Actually...Frisk and Asriel were acting strange yesterday and the day before. I'm not sure if that could be related just make sure you tell the police that okay?"
"Y-Yeah I-I'll make sure to do that." Alphys responded
"I-I have to go Alphys, goodbye and be careful." Toriel bid farewell to the small lizard before sighing and hanging up the phone.
"Are you alright?" Asgore asked.
Toriel turned and gave the former king a fake smile.
"I'm fine Asgore...I'm just worried." Toriel replied, taking a seat at the kitchen table.
"What do you think happened?" Asgore asked.
Toriel looked at Asgore and sighed.
"No one can go outside and even if they wanted to, the risk is to high for anyone to do it. I'm afraid those things that we have been hearing about might have got them."
Asgore raised a brow.
"Are you sure?"
Toriel nodded. "What else could it be..." Toriel sighed in defeat.
A loud thump was heard from the top of the stairs. Asgore and Toriel froze and turned towards them.
"What was that?" Asgore curiously asked, getting up from his seat and walking towards the stairs. Toriel watched as he planted his right foot on the top of the steps then he gasped.
"What's wrong?" Toriel asked.
Asgore removed his foot from the stairs and summoned his Trident, holding it up in a blocking position. A red projectile hurled into Asgore. His trident was able to absorb the blow but it knocked him back into the wall.
Toriel gasped and ran to his aid. But her arm was grabbed from behind. He turned and paled as she saw the face of the Marauder staring back at her. Suddenly without warning she was knocked out cold by a punch to the forehead.
Asgore was still in the process of getting back up on his feet when he too was knocked out cold by a punch.
The Marauder eyed the two and a Slipgate opened behind him. He began to drag the two into the portal.
MT Ebbot
The Slayer stepped out of the Slipgate and eyed his surroundings. He seemed to be currently standing in a path in the woods. If he looked up he could faintly see the glow of the super gore nest from MT.Ebott.
William turned his head hearing multiple pairs of footsteps behind him. The slipgate closed as Lucas and Red made their way through.
"So...we just gotta climb the mountain jump into the underground and we save the world? Seems pretty simple to me." Lucas said. Red chuckled slightly at his arrogance.
The heart will be heavily guarded. My scans indicate that there are over 500 demons in the underground as we speak.
Red and Lucas jumped back a little, not expecting to hear VEGA's voice on earth.
Do not be alarmed, I have reconnected with the Slayers suit, I will be able to provide valuable information during missions.
Red and Lucas didn't have time to process this before The Slayer stated to walk ahead of them.
"Let's go!" He shouted to them and they ran to catch up with him.
They walked for 30 minutes until they reached the base of the mountain. Upon looking up, they saw the newly formed Super Gore nest which covered up the entire mountain.
Red heard a faint growling from behind and jumped out of the way of a charging pinky which William froze with his ice grenade and then smashed into a million pieces with his fists.
Lucas turned and pointed to where they had come from.
"Guys, we got a problem."
Red and William turned to see several Imps and a Barons of Hell running towards them.
The Slayer ran forward using the meathook on his Super Shotgun to grapple towards the Baron.
Red took out her sword and sliced a charging Imp in half before cutting open a rift and appearing behind a confused group of imps. She cut the first one she saw down the middle then ducked to avoid a claw from another and kicked it in the chest, taking advantage of its staggered state to behead it.
Lucas's magic enhanced fist tore through the chest of an imp. Removing his fist, he threw the body of the dead imp towards a group of them, causing them to stagger and topple over. Lucas ran foward to the closet one and put a magic enhanced fist through its head, and with incredible speed was able to kill the entire group in this fashion.
William detached his meathook just before he reached the Baron and dropped down onto an imp, smashing it into a pile of blood and gore.
The Baron took a swing at the Slayer but he ducked and kicked out its left leg. This caused it to fall onto its other knee, allowing the Slayer to drive his crucible blade into the demons skull, killing it.
The Slayer turned around, seeing his companions had finished their little battles. It was now time to move on.
Without even speaking The Slayer started walking the base of the mountain, with his companions following close behind.
Castle of Torment
Asriel's eyes lifted as he heard the sound of an opening slipgate. He gasped as the Marauder stepped out and threw two figures to the ground. He recognized the figures as mom and dad.
"M-mom...dad!" Asriel weakly exclaimed.
The two were not moving, but Asriel but tell by the way that their chests rose and fell that they were still alive and breathing.
"Now, I'm going to make this clear." All humor and sarcasm in the Shifters voice was gone. Asriel knew due to the shift in the demons tone that what it was about to say next wasn't going to be pleasant.
"If you do not give me what I want in the next 6 hours, they will die. Then I will kill EVERYONE you love, until you give me what I want."
Asriel lowered his head, tears starting to flow down the young monsters face as he weighed his options.
Even if he was strong enough mentally to sacrifice his parents, he knew this demon would do much worse. He had no other options. Either he gave the Shifter his Makyr soul and hope that it would keep its word of a happy ending, which it most likely wouldn't.
Or refuse, and hope Frisk resets the timeline.
But something wasn't right. Why bother keeping Frisk here if they weren't going to kill her. The other shifter was clearly done with her. They must want her soul.
If he refused, there would be a chance that the Shifter would take Frisks soul before Frisk reset. He had no other options at this point.
"A-alright...I'll give it to you..." Asriel said in defeat. The Shifter smiled devilishly and bent down close to him. Asriel sighed and a yellow soul with a strange symbol inscribed in the middle emerged. The Shifters eyes grew in its presence.
"Won't removing the soul kill him?" The other Shifter asked.
"The Khan Makyr has powers even I can't explain. If we remove the soul from the body, a random soul from hells soul extraction chamber will manifest the body. I'm not sure how it's done." The shifter said as it reached for the soul.
Asriel didn't have time to comprehend that fact as he felt a massive amount of energy leave his body in only a second.
The Shifter smiled as it inspected the soul floating a few feet from its right hand. It then proceeded to shove the soul into its chest. It gasped in surprise and shifted into hundreds of beings at once, a sight that made Asriel shut his eyes tight.
The Shifter stopped shifting and stood up as a Hell Knight. It blinked rapidly and looked around the room, as if it was confused.
It took a few steps backwards and crashed into the wall. Well, that should have happened. Instead it broke through the wall.
"What the fuck?" It asked itself and stood up to examine the hole it had just created. It eyed its right hand before turning it into a fist and punching a hole in the wall.
"Major increase of strength is to be expected, part of what the soul grants you is that." The other shifter said.
"What else?"
"You don't know?" The other Shifter asked.
"No Satos I've been learning about the universe beyond this Anomaly for the past 30 years. 30 years is not a long time, when did you die, during the civil war?" The Shifter known as Satos sighed.
"You will have increased speed, hearing, strength, you are somewhat invulnerable as well."
The Shifter turned its attention to Frisk.
"How do we get the soul out of her?" It asked Satos.
Satos turned to where the Shifter was looking.
"We could rip it out of her, however we could risk her resetting before you finish consuming it. Actually with that soul you should be able to remove it from her without actually killing her."
The Shifter turned to Satos with a grin and walked towards the human slumped on the ground. It bent down positioning Frisk so she was laying on her back, before it brought out a hand to her chest. For a few seconds nothing happened until a bright red glow began to emit from Frisks chest. Slowly a Red soul began to emerge from Frisks chest. Before the shifter could make the catch, the soul suddenly flew back into the humans chest.
"What the hell?" Satos asked.
The Shifter growled and stood up.
"That should NOT have happened Satos, what did you leave out?" It asked, turning its body to face the larger shifter.
"I didn't, you should be able to extract the soul fairly easily. The only thing that I could think of is that the soul was artificially created by the Makyr's and given to her, I know that it's been done before." Satos explained. This caused the other shifter to perk up.
"Makyr's huh? I think we have a visit to make." And with that a slipgate began to form and the two entered, leaving a weakened, injured Asriel.
MT.Ebott
An Imp screamed as it was sawed in half curtsey of the Slayers Chainsaw.
The trio were currently in a cave overlooking a large pit.
The imps top half fell straight into the hole where it could be heard impacting the bottom. Red glanced over the edge and scrunched up her nose. There were several possessed clawing and eating something in the middle of the pile of golden flowers.
"They are eating the top half of th-" Red was cut off as William jumped into the pit.
"Dumbass..." Red whispered under her breath and jumped in after him.
Lucas glanced over the edge. He wasn't sure if he could take the fall. He sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Fuck it..." He said and jumped in after the two.
The Slayer landed on top of a group of possessed. He quickly launched a grenade at his feet and dashed forward to avoid to explosion. Turning, he was able to the aftermath of the explosion. Most of the group had been killed and their insides had covered the floor and walls of area. Red landed on top of an imp and stabbed it in the head before getting tackled by a Hell Knight. The Slayer was about to help when he was hit from behind and flew into the cave wall. Standing up, he managed to roll out of the way of the charging Baron of Hell before pulling out the crucible. Unfortunately it was knocked out of his hand. Ducking under a swing William pulled his ballista and fired at the demons stomach. This caused to tumble backwards and give The Slayer an opening to tackle it to the ground and slit its throat with the doomblade. He turned to Red who was getting the life choked out of her by the Hell Knight.
Lucas fell on top of the Hell Knight and gave it a magic enhanced punch to the head. The demon's grip on Red's neck loosened and it let go of her. Lucas continued delivering punches to the demons skull, until blood and bone began to spew from the punches.
With one final punch the Hell Knight slumped to the floor.
Red gasped for air and held her neck as she stared at Lucas in shock.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
Before he was given an answer a body flew towards him. He ducked and looked towards where the body was thrown to see the Doom Slayer reloading his Super Shotgun.
"We need to go." He stated before walking towards a large doorway that seemed to be reminiscent of Roman architecture.
Red began to follow close behind, Lucas hopped off the dead Hell knights body and followed her.
"Thanks for the save by the way." Red said as they entered the doorway. They entered an almost pitch black hallway with a small crystal in the ceiling illuminating a small dried up flower.
"Uh, no problem." He responded.
The trio entered an illuminated area with a staircase.
"Are we close?" The Slayer asked.
You are now 3.5 miles away from the heart. VEGA answered as the trio walked up the staircase.
Lucas turned and stopped for a second as he noticed some strange pressure pads. He didn't stop to look however and quickly caught up with the others.
They walked through a hallway with several switches, each were marked. The marked ones seemed to have been pulled.
"Someone has been here." Lucas said.
Red chuckled. "This is where Frisk fell down silly."
"Oh..." Lucas said in seemingly slight embarrassment as he scratched his head.
"What fuck is a Frisk?" William suddenly asked. The sudden question causing Red to suddenly burst into laughter.
"Frisks a person, not a thing." Lucas clarified not seeming as amused as Red.
"Frisk is the child, or was the child that single handily freed monsters from the underground. I've never actually explained the war to you..." Red trailed off.
"Tell me some other time, look." The Slayer pointed down the hall to a frog like creature. William instinctively raised his Super Shotgun.
"Wait." Red said, and lowered the weapon down with her free hand.
"It's just a froggit!" Red smiled as the chalk white frog hopped over to her. She held out her hand. The froggit cocked its head to the right in confusion, then softly licked Reds gloved hand.
"What the fuck is a froggit doing down here?" Lucas asked.
William raised his weapon again. Red looked confused but then moved her eyes towards where the weapon was pointing and was shocked to see half a dozen froggits staring at them.
"What the..." Lucas trailed off and turned around to see about a half a dozen more.
Lucas tapped Red on the shoulder.
"Look, something isn't right here." Red turned to see the froggits behind them then looked back to the froggit in front of her.
"What's going on buddy?" She asked and began to pet the small monster.
She froze as it suddenly smiled. It's mouth grew far to big for its small little frame. Lucas turned and noticed the same thing was happening for the ones behind them. Same with the ones in the front.
"Demons." The Doom Slayer spoke before kicking the Froggit away from red and blasting it with his Super Shotgun.
Lucas wasted no time and summoned an energy sphere and launched it at the froggits who were running towards them.
The energy sphere was able to blow most of the demons into a bloody mesh of gore. However one was able to dodge the attack and continued to run towards him. Lucas cursed and charged a magic fist. As the demon lunged at him he thrusted his fist forward.
A splat was heard as the Doom Slayer planted his foot down on top of one of the Demons. Turning he saw red slice two that lunged towards her in half.
He looked around and saw that the room was clear.
"How the hell were they bleeding?" Lucas asked.
"As I said, demons." William replied simply.
"Y-Yeah I know but they had to have been possessed right?"
The Slayer walked over to one of the demons body's and picked it up before peeling its skin.
Lucas seemed to be shocked while Red was slightly unnerved but didn't seem all to surprised.
William tossed the layer of skin aside revealing a small baby sized creature closely resembling an Imp.
"These things usually hide themselves by stealing the skin from other creatures." William explained after tossing it into the wall.
He turned around to face the two and signaled them to follow him.
Snowdin
A red slipgate materialized in the middle of the empty town. And out came two familiar Shifters.
The portal vanished and the nameless shifter turned around and smirked. It was currently in its human form. One of its least favorite forms. However the shifters superiors preferred that it used the strange human form while on non-violent business. The reason for this? Well it didn't know.
They walked through the town, passing several houses and abandoned establishments.
"I'm surprised the humans haven't put this place to use." The unnamed shifter said, admiring the place like it had seen it before.
"Actually last year I was here and on the news the hosts were actually talking about how the military wants to use the underground as a secret base. I must say technology has come a long way from horses and muskets." Satos said.
"That's right, you died quite a while ago. I wouldn't worry you aren't the only one who can't work the TV." The nameless shifter replied.
The two stopped in front of a building. A sign in large letters at the top said "Grillbys".
The two Shifters made their way inside, not surprised to see it devoid of life. Well, almost.
A figure stood behind the bar simply staring at them. The nameless shifter smiled as it saw the figure.
"Chara what a pleasant surprise." It spoke. The figure was a Makyr. It was 7 feet tall with red armor covering its chest as well as a yellow helmet that covered the wearers face.
"Kyn I wish I could say the same to you." The Shifter now known to be Chara said, causing the Makyr to perk up.
"And why is that?" It asked.
Chara stepped further into the establishment.
"Let's just say I'm here on "official business"."
"Oh...I see." The Makyr sighed.
"What is it you need?"
Chara sat down on one of the bar stools with that smile still plastered on her face.
"I know that you were once one of the Makyr's responsible for creating artificial souls." The Makyr perked up and looked at Chara who was still smiling.
"What is this about?" He asked.
Chara leaned in.
"Oh, now your going to play that game huh? Where you act like you don't know what I want. You know exactly what I want. But I'll tell you. I have a prisoner. And their soul is artificial, more specifically from Makyr origin. Now that means that I can not consume it regularly. And if I try to rip it out then they are going to most likely reset. So I need you to temporarily drain the Determination from the soul so I can consume it!" Chara explained and leaned back.
"And if I don't, you'll kill me?" Kyn asked nervously.
Chara stood up.
"Why would I do such a thing...if I killed you, I wouldn't get what I want!"
Kyn took a step back.
"How can I trust you, don't act like I know what you've done." Chara rolled her eyes are hopped over the bar.
"Listen here Jesus, whenever I want something we always have this talk. "Oh, but your a killer!". Honestly, if I wanted to kill you at any point in time I could have done it long ago. So do me a favor and help me out."
Kyn shook his head. "No." Chara growled and grabbed the Makyr by the head and slammed him into the bar. Kyn tried to stand but his face was pressed into the table by Chara who stood over him.
"Just because I won't kill you, doesn't mean I won't beat the shit out of you."
"I don't fear pain, nor death."
Chara shook her head.
"You absolute liar. You've dreaded death since you were a human. Even with your immortality as a Makyr you refused combat roles and became a fucking soul maker. I don't want to have to do this to you, as shocking as that sounds. But if you would just listen to me then maybe you wouldn't be going through this."
Kyn scoffed.
"You will destroy this anomaly and those who reside with in it." Chara laughed.
"Yes, I will destroy THIS fucking anomaly. This Anomaly resets every week, conjures up hellish beings, genocidal children. But...if you do this for me I will guarantee your safety."
Kyn glared at Chara. "I will not live in the underworld I would rather die!" Kyn shouted. Chara's smile fell and she let go on the Makyr.
"Your mistaken, do this and I will return you to Urdak."
