Sam and Yami couple in this fic. Dean is with Castiel(if you watched the end of the series you know why I am putting Dean with Castiel).
Chapter 1
Yami P.O.V
Bakura and Marik were threatening some people who usually protected others. These people were called hunters and went after monsters or ghosts or anything that wasn't human. I guess I would be in that category since I had shadow magic and still was close to a spirit sort of. "Stay out of trouble Yami" Yugi said. "We need to find out how to help these people and to stop Bakura and Marik." I sighed and sat down not used to the modern world yet. Yugi took me somewhere that was called a book store. I then saw a cute guy with brown hair and a flannel jacket and jeans. Flannel looked nice on him.
He had dark brown eyes and was gorgous. I sighed looking at the device that Yugi gave me that was a cell phone. I wasn't used to these either. I then saw a blond woman with the guy.
Yugi then stopped and talked to the 2 and they nodded and they went on and on for awhile and Yugi nodded towards me. The woman went over to me. "Hi. My name is Mary. Your friend said you 2 wanted to help us. Come on." she said. I gazed at the phone in confusion. "Here. You press this button. You're from another time aren't you?" Mary asked. "Yeah." I answered."Yugi is like a brother to me so I didn't really abandon him." Mary smiled softly and lead me to where Yugi and the cute guy were as she showed me what was on the phone.
"You were from another time too?" I asked. "The 80s" she answered(most of her time was the 80s or early 90s).
"Oh." I said. "Am guessing you are a bit older than that." she said. I nodded. "I'm ancient Eygptian." I said. Yugi and I were introduced to the guy who was known as Sam and then Sam and Mary took us to a place known as the bunker. There we met more people. We met a guy named Dean who had shorter brown hair and looked older and another supernatural being. I could sense his powers radiateing off of him. "Sam Yami has some powers." Castiel said. "Yeah. I used to be the spirit that was in this item. I didn't go to the spirit world though." I answered. "I sensed your powers. It feels a bit different than most spirits." Castiel said.
"I'm about 3000 years old. That might be why." I told him. "I'm guessing you can sense other supernatural beings too."
"Yes. I'm an angel but I decided to be a hunter with my powers. Our son became God after Chuck misused his powers(in this the brothers didn't die and Castiel was brought back by Jack)." Castiel said. I knowticed he wasn't quite used to the modern world either. "Yami I need your help on knowing a bit on some Ancient Eygptian stuff. Sam,mom and I knowticed it was someone with your powers that was targeting hunters." Dean said. I nodded and explained how Millinium items were created and how my dad wasn't told everything and the whole history. I kept a mask up not revealing how much I missed my dad,Seth,Mahaad and Mana though. "Thanks Yami. That means a lot." Dean said smileing.
"Um do you sometimes have others like me help you?" I asked. "We have a group of werewolf hunters not far from us and you met Castiel and Sam also isn't normal so yes. Not everyone is normal around us but I honestly don't care. I decided to save as many people as possible and if you're family that's good. Yami, you miss them don't you? You're family back then?" Dean added.
"I do but Yugi and his friends are also my family and looked after me right when the puzzle was solved. It was the afterlife with my family from 3000 years ago and saying good bye to the family that I got to know or staying with them and saying good bye to the family from 3000 years ago. I was going to have say good bye to someone." I said. "True. Did you know that Sam and I lost our dad too? Not thousands of years ago like you did but it was still horrible and right in front of us too." Dean said. "Yami we are here if you want to talk about anything and almost every spirit had to go through what you did...on saying good bye to someone they cared about." he added smileing gently.
I smiled and hugged Dean. I decided that Dean was ok and a good person at this.
"So what do you think?" Yugi asked. "They are nice people. I like them." I said. Yugi smiled. "I'm glad and also happy you opened up to someone." he added. He knew that I missed Mana and the others. "You forget that I am your other half. I know you Yami." Yugi said. "Oh! You're shareing a room with Sam." he added. I felt my cheeks turn a tiny bit red at this and went to go put my stuff on one side of his room.
-A Couple of Days Later-
Sam P.O.V
I saw a few painted portraits by Yami's bed(it was ancient times). One was of a younger Yami, who was way more cuter and his dad. He must miss the man a lot. Yami told me and Dean about the items. There were 7 of them and 2 of the items owners were going after the hunters. I sighed betting the items were either haunted or cursed. I wanted to a lot for Yami after finding out he was stuck with the puzzle and probably would always be stuck with it.
"Oh. Hi Sam. Your brother made bacon cheeseburgers for lunch." Yami said. "You know what those are?" I said surprised. "Burgers are Yugi's favorite foods and he almost always orders them when he ate out when I was a spirit. I was stuck tasteing the things." Yami said making a disgusted face. Someone must not like burgers much. I chuckled. He was so adorable!
"I am not a burger fan either. Too much fat and grease. I like salads and things that are a bit different." I said. "I love salads!" Yami said.
Finally another one who isn't a meat junkie or like Dean.
Normal P.O.V
Dean and Yugi were walking by and Dean heard the 2 talking about the best chicken salads. "That's desturbing." he sighed. "Why is it your other half hates burgers?" Yugi sighed. "They are a joke to his culture to him." Yugi answered. "I will never ask again." Dean sighed. "So long as he doesn't touch the impala I am good." Yugi rose an eyebrow. "A 3000 year old near my baby is a bad idea in my head. I am guessing Yami doesn't know much on driveing."
"He knows how to cook and some of the main things to keep living but that's it. Driving not so much. Jonouchi tried to teach him and it didn't go well." Yugi said.
"Yeah. If one of you ever has to drive it'll be you Yugi. Ok." Dean said. "I want Yami to get more well adjusted to the modern world first."
