Ginger & Buford

14-year-old Ginger was sitting in the coffee shop. She sighed as she looked at her green tea latte and scone.
Buford walked passed and stopped at the door. He turned around and stood beside the girl. "Why so glum?" Ginger looked up at him and offered a small smile. "Can you answer a question for me?" She inquired.
Buford took a seat at the table then took the lid off his drink. "I'll answer you; if I know the answer." Ginger looked up at him. "Does Baljeet have a girlfriend?" She asked seriously. Buford guffawed. "I don't know. I thought he did. He was supposed to be going out somewhere today with someone."
Ginger sighed sadly. "Thanks any way." She said and Buford got up. "Hey, you asked."
Ginger nodded as Buford left.
Ginger was finishing her drink when someone sat across from her. "Hello, Ginger. Would you like to go out with me?" Baljeet tentatively asked.
