"Finally you're home" she said as he walked through the door. He was exhausted but they'd spent such little time together the past couple weeks. He'd been working such long hours and she'd had lots of meetings. When theyve had time alone together he'd been exhausted and she's felt sore or nauseous. After closing the door and taking off his shoes, he looked over at her, his Fiance ... His heavily pregnant fiance. "It was a long night, Kor. I can't believe you're still awake. How's the baby?" He asked as he set down on the couch next to her. She rubbed her large, 8 month pregnant stomach and smiled at him. "He's been very... Active all day today." He sat his hand ontop of hers. He loved feeling his child growing in her. "He?" Mako questioned. Korra rolled her eyes "Again, I don't know what the baby is. It's just easier to say than say 'he or she' Everytime" she explained. He nodded and rubbed her stomach. "Dinner's in the kitchen if you're hungry" she quietly told him. When she didn't get a response, she looked over at him. "Mako?" She said a little louder and seemed snap him out of his thoughts. "Uh yeah. What was that?" He stammered. " I said I made dinner... What were you thinking about?" He looked over at her and they made eye contact... "I was just thinking about us. I still can't believe we're engaged. Nevermind that we're also having a baby soon ... When I was growing up on the streets, I never imagined I'd meet the avatar, get married, and start a family. Just think about it all...how lucky we are... I can't wait for the wedding... I can't wait for the baby to come...I can't wait for more children... I'm just so excited for my life with you." He said quietly while never breaking eye contact. She, being pregnant was extra emotional to start with and started tearing up. He continued "I know we haven't had much together time over the last couple weeks but I just want you to know how much I love you and our child. Now, it's late.. time to get ready for bed. I'm exhausted and I know you must be too." She just replied "I love you too."
