Back home
Caspian woke up with a jerk. His eyes blinded by the bright oil lamps. He began to look around and saw an old bedroom with an old woman walking towards him, "Ah, yes. Caspian is it? Captain of 'The Legend'. You've bin sleepin' for a blimmin' week!"

nodded in surprise that he had been asleep for a week. He tried to sit straight and lean his back against the wall, only accomplishing to increase the pain in his stomach. "Looks like that sword missed all your vitals. But it might still hurt for a month or two."

"Yes, ma'am."

"I expect to see you out of bed and downstairs at 3 o'clock. Don't be late!" She announced. And with that, she disappeared down the stairs leaving Caspian with many questions.

"Ahoy, Capn'!" A rough voice exclaimed; it was Roger who had just woken up.

"Hi, Roger,"

"Yes, capn'?"

"I was just wondering, where's the rest of the crew?"

"Rest of the crew? Are you joking?"

"Wait, what do you mean? I ain't joking. Just tell me."

"Well, a few of 'em are dead but most of them survived and are in different hospitals ate homes being treated. A lucky handful of 'em isn't even injured."

"What happened to the main crew? You know, Spoons, George, Ramson, Zack, and Andrew?"

"Oh them? They're fine. Spoons got his chest stabbed and is up on the third floor. Zack is fine with no injuries; Andrew had an injured leg but is now back at the port helping to fix the ship and I don't know what happened to the rest of 'em." Roger explained. Caspian sank back into the bed and felt relieved.

Caspian began to drift into sleep within a few minutes only to wake up hearing a glass fall on the floor. Caspian thought that he had only been sleeping for a day and was surprised to hear that he was asleep for a week! How strange, he thought. He wanted to meet Spoons so used all his strength to get out of bed and he began to walk. He couldn't believe it! He was walking and it didn't hurt one bit! he climbed down the stairs and asked the old lady where Spoons was.

"better not to disturb him, dear. he's been stabbed in the chest. And oh, you're walking! substantial progress!" She replied. Caspian smiled at her and went back up. he wanted to meet spoons badly. he went up to the third floor and there he was sitting on his bed and drinking his porridge. Caspian walked over to him and said hi. Spoons looked up at him and immediately stood up in respect.

"Captain! Bin a long time since I saw you." Spoons said in astonishment and respect.

The two of them had a friendly chat and wished each other good luck on healing from their injuries. Caspian slowly climbed down the stairs and walked towards his bed. "Caspian! There's a letter for you! Come down quickly." The old woman announced. Caspian was filled with joy as he climbed down the stairs. what could it be? Who sent it? He reached the ground floor and ran towards the table where the letters were kept. He saw two letters for him that said, 'From Mary To Caspian' and 'From Sarah To Caspian'. He immediately jumped in joy and grabbed the letters. He ran up the stairs as fast as he could and opened the letter from his twin sister, Sarah first. He began to read it in his mind, "Dear Caspian, I heard about your injury from a person called 'Ramson' who claims to be your crewmate. Also, Good luck with being a captain! I hope you are well and reading this. I don't advise fighting like that again. Mum is immensely proud of you for becoming captain of 'The Legend'. Life here in London is great and we recently fixed a leak in the ceiling that was bothering us. Your brother-in-law, Michael got a new job too. I wish you all the best in recovering! Get well soon, Your sister, Sarah"

He then picked up the second letter and opened it, "Dear Caspian, I hope you are doing well, and I heard about your terrible injury, try rubbing a little saltwater around it to make it heal faster! Also, congrats on becoming captain of your own new ship! Hope you get well soon and come back to England to see us. We miss you! Your sister, Mary"

Caspian felt satisfied with receiving two letters. It was 3 o'clock and Caspian remembered that he needed to go downstairs. "Caspian, lunch is ready." The old woman said as she caught sight of him. Caspian walked over to the table and began to eat his food. I was great but he missed his mother's cooking. He decided to get out of the old house and take a breath of fresh air. He went out and began walking down the street, he then came across a baby eagle that was injured on the ground, it was chirping for its mother. It was about a day old and seemed very tired, it was an imperial German eagle. Caspian slowly watched it as tried to open its eyes and get up. He went closer towards it and gently pat it on the head. He knew it was not going to survive for long, so he took it and kept it in his warm hand. The bird immediately calmed down and rubbed its face against his hands. He decided to keep it as his pet bird. He was walking e=while petting it when he bumped into a friend, it was Ramson.

"Ah, Captain! You are well and walking! I see you have brought a little friend with you." Ramson began.

"Yes, I found him on the side of the road. He seemed cold so I took him, must've been abandoned."

"So what are you going to do with him then?"

"I would like to keep him though. Don't think he would survive a day alone. he should be bigger and must have opened his eyes by now. I'll name him Rango! Perfect name for a little bird. Ent it?"

"Yes, yes great name. I recommend you feed him with good meat. You know, my father had a baby eagle when I was little. He sold it. I still miss him.!

"I am sorry Ramson, I too had a parrot."

"Yeah, that's life. You lose, you win."

"True. So, how's the rest of the crew?"

"two of them are dead... Thomas and James... 10 injured and 10 are fine."

"Thomas and James? Dead?"

"Yes..."

"Bless their souls. I saw James get killed right in front of my eyes. It was terrible"

"I have seen my best friend fall into a fire and die."

"Oh My God, that's terrible!"

"Yes yes it is but I'm hungry and I want to eat. I heard that there's a good place closeby. Let's have lunch there." Ramson Said, pulling Caspian behind him.

They walked across many shops when the finally saw an old place with a rotting wood sign that said ' Jonathan's Crew' on it. Caspian and Ramson went in and gave their orders. Caspian ordered some rice while Ramson ordered a large steak. They waited for their food and had a small chat. Caspian gently pet the eagles head as it began to fall asleep. Their food finally came after fifteen minutes. Ramson fed a piece of his steak to the eagle. It te it quickly and wanted more, so they had to order another steak. Time passed an once the eagle was full, it fell into a deep sleep. Caspian and Ramson waved goodbye to each other and Caspian headed home with the baby eagle in his hands.

Three weeks passed and Caspian was finally back to normal. He could now, walk, jump, and do anything normally with ease. The baby eagle was doing well. It was now almost fully brown with sharp claws and a curved, sharp beak. Caspian was told by Ramson that Rango would be flying soon! Caspian and his crew were finally ready to go back to England with more goods to transport and the ship was finally fixed. Caspian was so happy that he wanted to have a party. A few days later, the ship was ready and they set sail back to England!

"Set the sails, mop the deck, get on the crow's nest!" Caspian ordered as he fed rando scraps of meat.

"I have a new plan to get food. We could do some fishing! Great leisure activity too." Caspian said proudly. The entire crew agreed. Spoons immediately got on to the edge of the bat in an attempt to catch some fish with the new nets Caspian had bought. Caspian was extremely proud of his crew. he wanted to give every single one of them a treat when they got back in England. Caspian was steering the ship towards England in relief. It sure was a long month in Bremerhaven. The sea was rough and the crew was tired. Caspian was sleeping in the captain's room while zack was taking his night shift. The crew would be back in about 6 days. Time passed quickly as they were heading back to England. The men did fishing, told stories, cleaned together and played many games and showed each other how to make fishing nets and swords. Days passed by as the seas grew rougher, storms were more common to the point that they happened every night. The ship rocked violently over mountains of waves. Zack, spoons, Roger, Andrew, George, Henry, Ramson, Caspian and many men stayed awake all night trying to drain the ship's flooded floor. Everyone had great fun fishing in the morning and torture facing the terrifying waves at night. Caspian couldn't sleep with the entire ship rocking violently. It was their last night on the ship. Spoons was awake and up on the deck when a giant wave pulled the ship deep into the ocean and flooded the decks and rooms inside. Ramson was really scared. The ship stayed underwater for 1 whole minute, and by then, the ship was completely flooded and soaked wet. Spoons was overboard! He could swim well but the waves were too rough. Roger was overboard too but he did not know how to swim. Caspian ran to the upper deck and threw a rope into the sea. Spoons grabbed Roger who was drowning and swam toward the rope. Caspian got more people to grab the rope so it would be easier to pull them in.

"Spoons! Grab the rope! don't let go!" Caspian shouted.

"I'm trying! The waves are too strong and Roger is really heavy!" Spoon shouted back.

Spoons swam as fast as he could but he couldn't keep up with the waves. Caspian let out more of the rope and spoons swam closer as he was beaten down by the waves. He reached out using all his strength and finally caught the rope. The crew pulled as hard as they could, with a lot of effort, they finally pulled inSpoons and Roger. Spoons seemed fine but Roger's lungs were flooded with water. "Push him in the chest to get all the water out!" Spoons cried.

They did as he said and Roger began spitting out the water immediately. He began to cour a lot and took many deep breaths before he finally opened his eyes, "Thank you! I would've died out there! God bless you all!" He said with a stutter.

"Don't talk. Breathe. Take a deep breath." Andrew said. Roger nodded and did as he was told. He spat out more water until his lungs were drained. The storm began to stop slowly and Spoons and roger were sent to take a rest.

They were getting closer to England. Caspian knew it!
