Bobby's Wife
Chapter 13
Ranger was leaning against a wall while Stephanie was working on the computer. "I got something, wholly shit." She said out loud.
"Babe, what did you find something I can't believe." She turned the computer and saw Lester's name next to the boss's nam.
"Wow I was not expecting that, and to top it off, one of Lester's relatives works for Lock Up's" Stephanie and Ranger blew a deep breath out at the same time.
Ranger, got on the phone and called Lester.
"hey, boss what's up" He asked Ranger.
"We need to talk get over to my spare office." Ranger told him then hung up.
"Thanks Babe," He told her then gave her a soft kiss on the cheek.
"Keep checking to see if there is anyone else." Ranger was half way out the door, when Steph let out another "Wholly shit"
Ranger stopped and turned his head, "What" Turns out that Hank that got fired is related to Morelli a far off distant cousin by disinherited."
"Meaning that he is a cousin on the dark side. Funny that Morelli never told anybody about it" Stephanie mumbled.
"Yes, indeed" Ranger agreed then walked out.
Stephanie looked at him leave. "Okay he is pissed and that is not a good thing for the person who put the bomb in Rangeman." She thought to herself.
"Hey there how are you feeling with the baby?" Hal told her.
"I am fine Hal." Stephanie answered him.
"Hey can you get me some food, and some juice I am thirsty and hungry." Stephanie asked.
"Sure thing" All of a sudden there was a knock at the door.
Hal looked out of the peep hole. It was Stephanie's mom and her Grandmother.
"Oh shit." He said as he shook his head.
"Mrs. Plum and Grandma Mazur, what do you want?" Hal said as he answered the door.
"We came to check on Stephanie and our grand child" Helen told Hal.
"She is fine, now you have to leave." Hal told the both of them.
"We are not leaving until we see her" Helen said, and then she stormed her way in the house.
She looked into the bedroom and saw Steph.
"You should not be working you should be resting." She took the laptop and told Grandma to put it in the car.
"Mom, I am fine will you give me the lap top back." Stephanie yelled at her mom.
"No, now here is some food I cooked for you and the baby. I will be back later to check on you now sleep you need rest." Helen and Grandma Mazur walked out after that.
"I am calling Ranger, your mom and grandma might be in trouble because that have that laptop because it Rangeman property." Hal told her then got on the phone.
Ranger came back to the house, saw Stephanie fuming in bed. Hal also called Bobby and found Bobby home next to her trying to talk her down from getting out of bed and going to her parents house.
"Stephanie Brown you can't go barging into your parent's house and you know it. You are still on bed rest. Now please stop and listen to me. You are all that matters to me you and the baby, please I promise we will get the laptop back, now please calm down." Bobby told her.
Stephanie took a couple deep breaths. "I know you are right, but I will never be free from her. No matter where I go she finds me and the baby. Bobby I don't know what to do she drives me nuts."
"Don't worry love, I am going over to your parent's house now to get the laptop back and to tell your parents something." Bobby said and nodded to Ranger.
"I am going too." Ranger told them.
"We need to move the two of you again, but I don't want it to be a Rangeman safe house only because of what is going on with Lock Up's blowing up Rangeman." Ranger added in.
"I have one more place." Bobby told them. He wrote an address down, gave it to Hal.
Bobby walked into the bedroom. "Love we have to move again. Hal will bring you to a place I will meet you there shortly." He kissed her on the top of her head.
"Please be careful Bobby for me and the baby." Stephanie begged.
"I will and I will be back as quickly as I can" he said and then Ranger followed him.
"You really do love her don't you?" Ranger said to Bobby.
"Yes, I do if I loose her or the baby I don't know what will happen." Bobby said, "Now let's go see my in-laws" Bobby and Ranger got in the Slick black SUV and took off for the Burg.
Ranger and Bobby got to the Burg, and then parked in the front of his in-laws house.
Ranger knocked on the door Grandma Mazur answered it.
"Are we in trouble?" she asked.
"Depends do you have the laptop?" Ranger asked.
"Yes, but it kinda got a make over." Grandma told them and she let them both in.
"What do you mean it got a makeover." Ranger asked.
"My great grand daughter decided to delete all the files that were on the computer." Grandma Mazur told them.
Bobby walked in and sat down where his new niece was and asked her, "Honey I am your uncle Bobby your aunt Stephanie's husband, I just want to ask you one question, why did you delete all the files on the laptop?"
"Grandma told me that it would help auntie Steph feel more relaxed." His niece told him.
"Right, can I have the laptop back please, sure." She said.
Just then Bobby heard, "So you are my son in-law" Mrs. Plum said to him.
"Yes, I am and I love your daughter very much, I use to work at Rangeman but now I am looking for a job as a doctor, and I think I have a job lined up at Trenton Memorial. Please Mrs. Plum I promise I will take care of your daughter and your grand child and you can see her soon, just not right now. Please give us the space we need to get ready for my son or daughter." Bobby picked up the cleaned laptop and left the house.
Ranger was already back outside.
They got in the black SUV and drove to the new house that Stephanie was at. They were silent all the way back to the house.
When they got back to the new house, they entered it.
"How it go?" Hal asked them
"Take this to the computer lab or what is left of it and see if they can recover all the files on it" Ranger told Hal.
" Gramda Mazur, no Steph and Bobby's niece." Ranger said.
"Babe, where are you?" Ranger yelled.
"In the main bedroom" she yelled.
They went up stairs to the master suite.
The walls were cream colored with gold trim wall paper as borders.
"Nice" Ranger said as he entered the suite.
"this was my parents house before they died. When I became of age I inherited it." Bobby told everyone
"Where is the laptop I am dying to get back to work." Stephanie asked them.
"It's at the lab or what is left of it, my tech guys are trying to restore all the files on the laptop." Ranger said in a firm voice.
"Our niece decided to delete all the files that were on the laptop because Grandma told her too." Bobby told her and the kissed her on the top of her head.
"Och, she has always been good with computers." Stephanie told them.
"Right well when she get old enough send her to Rangeman, I will hire her in a heartbeat." Ranger told them then walked out of the house.
