Phineas & Gretchen (age 12)
"Thanks Mom." Gretchen said as she opened the door to the coffee shop, she then saw her friend. "Hi Phineas." She greeted and he waved in response. Gretchen got herself a drink and a cookie then went to sit with him.
Phineas looked up and put his drink down. "You wanted to meet me?" He tentatively inquired. Gretchen nodded. "I'm putting together a list of everyone's birthdays and I need your help. I've got the girls' birthdays. I just need the guys', yours is the only one that Isabella knew. I would have thought she might have known Ferb's as well, seeing as you three are so close."
Phineas breathed a sigh of relief. "That's all you need? The guys' birthdays? Well, Ferb's birthday is in February." Gretchen looked up at him and smiled. "That's great! What's the date?" She asked, placing the tip of her pencil to her notebook. Phineas rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably. "Well, we've always celebrated it on the 20th."
Gretchen, puzzled, bit her lip in concentration. "So, it's the 20th?" She asked and Phineas shook his head. "No. He convinced me years ago that it actually was the 20th. Then... I found out the truth this year."
Gretchen put her pencil down and looked expectantly to her friend. "If it's not the 20th, then when is it?" Phineas looked to the table, then back up at her. "It's actually the 29th."
