Chapter 7
"Thank you very much for the meal, Ittoki." Nanami said once again after finishing her dessert.
"You're welcome." He replied back shortly and stood up from his seat, Nanami did the same thing as well; thinking that it was time to go back to her room,
"Where are you going?" Otoya asked Nanami when he saw her walking towards the door and she immediately stopped from the sound of his voice.
"I - I'm going back to my room." She replied and turn around to see Otoya looking at her as if that he wants to say something.
"I see..." He replied and looked down on the ground and Nanami noticed that his expression show that he really wants to say something.
"Is there something that you want to say?" Otoya was startled at the sound of her voice and looked at Nanami who is looking at him directly.
"Umm.. Well... I just want to ask you something." Otoya replied and he noticed that the door to the kitchen is slightly open and he saw Ren, Masato, Syo and Natsuki peeking.
"Invite her for breakfast tomorrow." Ren whispered
"And then give her a tour to the other parts of the castle." Masato added.
"Wake up early tomorrow. You'll be having breakfast with me. That's an order." Otoya said quickly and with a stern expression making the four subject just facepalmed for his invitation.
"Oh... Umm..." Nanami not feeling comfortable with the way he invited her and knowing that it will be the only two of them and Otoya noticed her expression.
"Shibuya and the others will join us." He added quickly and Nanami's expression soften and said,
"Hai I will. Is that all Ittoki?"
"Yes, you can go back to your room. Ren, Masato guide her back to her room." Otoya order two of his subjects and then the two went out of their hiding spot and went to Nanami's side.
"Yes, sire." The two subjected bowed down to Otoya and they guided Nanami outside the dining room. Otoya sighed and sat down on his chair; Natsuki, Shibuya and Syo went out from their hiding spot and went to their master,
"I always mess things up." Otoya muttered and sighed to himself while remembering how he invited Nanami to breakfast and her expression are still fresh in his mind,
"Why don't you try to be nice to her?" Tomochika sighed and replied to her master, Natsuki and Syo just stared at their master. Syo clicked his tongue and went in front of his master,
"Oi! You're not like this before, Otoya! What the hell happened to you?" He exclaimed and dropped the honorifics to his master and this made Otoya glare at Syo.
"Shut up and return to the kitchen. Now." He replied to Syo coldly, which made the teacup's eyes wide from his master's reaction.
"Calm down both of you." Natsuki said and went to Syo's side trying to kill the tension between the two.
"I am calm. Now all of you return to the kitchen and prepare for tomorrow's breakfast." Otoya ordered once more and stood up from his seat then went to the door.
"Sire, before you leave, please think about what I'm about to say to you." Tomochika said sternly and made Otoya stop from in front of the door.
"If you really want to put a stop to this curse, if you really want to know more about Haruka, and if you believe and feel that she is the one, then try to be nice to her. Talk to her nicely, make small talks with her like you were before the incident. And remember this as well, that incident was not your fault." Tomochika continued and then silence fell upon the room.
"Ah." Otoya sighed and then he opened the door and closed it lightly. Then he made his way to his room at the west side of the castle.
-With Nanami, Ren and Masato-
"This castle sure is really big. I wonder where are Ittoki's parents. Did they turn into like you too?" Nanami asked the two subjects making them stop from their tracks and a eerie silence fell upon them,
"Nanami, I think it would be best to not touch that subject for now." Masato said.
"He is right. And to add that milady, it would be best if you get the answer from sire himself and not from us." Ren added to Masato's statement. Nanami, on the other hand, starts to lose color from the suggestion of Ren.
"Umm... I don't think that would be possible." She replied to them.
"Why not? I thought the two of you started to have a small conversation as while ago at the dinning room." Masato asked the downhearted lady in front of him.
"It's just that... Well..." She hesitated on answering Masato, knowing that he would or maybe Ren as well, would tell it to Otoya later on. Ren sensing the discomfort of the lady,
"Do not worry milady, this conversation will only be between us, the subjects and you as well. None of this will be going to sire." He replied in assurance to make Nanami comfortable to talk and express her thoughts about their master. Nanami took a deep breath and said,
"Well... He speaks so coldly, his stare is also scary and we did not converse that much when all of you left the dinning room. He was quiet, too quiet that it make me uncomfortable to be with him because he keeps on staring at me." Masato and Ren blinked their eyes and looked at Nanami as she released all her inner thoughts about their master.
"I see..." Masato muttered and Ren chuckled lightly. Nanami looked at Ren with a confused expression and said,
"I - Is there something wrong to what I just said? I'm so sorry!" She immediately apologized and bowed to the two of them.
'I think that I have offended their master too much. I said too much I should have just shut my mouth.' She is in a state of panic inside her mind.
"No, no. Milady, you did nothing wrong. Its just that you are the first person who said those things about our master and not minding his appearance." Ren explained to Nanami.
"First person? So, there were other women like ended up here?" She asked making the two subjects looked at each other.
"There were some ladies who have entered this castle and the moment they saw our master's appearance they would scream and run outside of our castle." Masato stated.
"Oh I see. His appearance does look odd. Its just that his stare is really scary." She muttered a reply making Ren chuckle even more at Nanami's statement.
"I have a feeling that our master will be having a hard time." Ren stated and then Masato just nodded in agreement.
"Anyways, you still have to wake up early tomorrow. We should escort you to your right now so you can rest." Masato said and started to hop again and Ren joined as well, Nanami just sighed and started to walk again following the two hopping objects. By the end of the hall, two path ways are in front of them and the two objects just hopped towards the right side and Nanami slowly followed them while looking the other side.
"Ne, what can be found on that side of the hallway?" Nanami asked Ren and Masato, who instantly stopped from their movements and looked at Nanami.
"Oh... Umm... It would be best to not go there." Ren said quickly and shortly.
"Yes, and tomorrow we will have a tour of the whole castle." Masato added quickly trying to divert Nanami's attention. And Nanami just stared at the empty yet eye catching west corridor and then looked back at Ren and Masato.
'I hope she buys it.' Ren and Masato internally thought to themselves at the same time while trying to match Nanami's stare at them and trying not to get obvious that they were trying to divert her attention to the said corridor.
"Hmm... Alright, since we are going to have a tour tomorrow after breakfast." She finally said after staring a session with the two objects.
'Good.' Ren and Masato let out a big sigh of relief internally, as if a huge boulder left from their shoulders. And the trio continue to walk onwards the east corridor going to Nanami's room to call it a night.
-Six in the morning-
"Nanami - san, please wake up." A gentle yet masculine voice said trying to wake up Nanami from her slumber.
"Nnnn..."
"Haruka, you need to get up now. Its morning already." A firm yet gentle feminine voice called to her. Nanami slowly opened one of her eyelids and there her eyes are greeted with streaks of sunlight coming from the window.
"Ohayo Haruka." Tomochika greeted warmly while she jumped on top of the bed where Nanami is sleeping. Nanami look around her surroundings, she thought that everything that happened yesterday was just a dream but alas it wasn't. She sighed and then looked at the teapot on the bed and the cabinet and she greeted them back with a smile and said,
"Ohayo Tomo - chan, Tokiya - san." The two objects were astound with her warm smile. Both of them look at each at other and then Tomochika look at Nanami then she said,
"Let's get you ready for breakfast. Follow me to the bathroom."
"I thought we were going to have a trouble waking you up. I guess we won't be using the water inside you Shibuya - san." Tokiya said and Tomochika chuckled lightly then Nanami sweat dropped and join Tomochika's chuckle. She slowly got up from her bed and did a bit of stretching, fixing the bed while Tomochika waited for her to finish and then guided her to the bathroom. Meanwhile, Tokiya started to prepare Nanami's outfit for today by pulling out different dresses, skirts and blouses that would fit her taste.
-After a few minutes-
Nanami came out of the bathroom with Tomochika wearing nothing but a bathrobe. She is kind of nervous walking towards her room again in a bathrobe, thinking of many possibilities that someone might see her. The good things is that the bathroom isn't that far from her room, so they both got inside the room immediately and then they noticed some clothes, to be precise three outfits each with matching shoes to go with it, are on the bed and Tokiya is just standing at the side and then he said,
"I have prepared three outfits for to picked. To be honest, I am actually having a hard time to pick with one would fit and suit your taste Nanami - san." Then Nanami looked over the three outfits together with Tomochika.
"Why don't you try all of them Haruka?" Tomochika suggested and then Tokiya nod in agreement, even though he doesn't have a head, but his expression showed an agreement to Tomochika's suggestion.
"Alright then. I'll start with this one on the left side." Nanami replied and then she grabbed the outfit and shoes. Tokiya turn around immediately so that Nanami can change properly and comfortably. Then, Nanami started to remove her bathrobe and fit the outfit and shoes.
"What do you think?" She asked the two of them and Tokiya turn around and there he sees Nanami wearing the first outfit which is compose of a light blue, elastane fabric tunic shirt that is tucked inside of her white, knee - high full circle wool fabric skirt and for her shoes, she is wearing a dirty white, ankle strap two - inches high heels. Tomochika gasped by the way Nanami look on the first outfit and Tokiya showed a small smile at the outfit he prepared.
"She looks so nice and the outfit shows screams 'modest'." Tomochika remarked firmly at the first outfit and Nanami is looking at herself on a full body mirror in her room.
"I like it actually." She replied back to Tomochika but somehow this outfit doesn't satisfy her.
"From the looks of Shibuya - san's expression, I think she is not satisfied with it." Tokiya stated shortly while Tomochika continue to look at Nanami from head to toe.
"It looks good on you Haruka. But we want an outfit that would really make our master can't stop looking at you." She smirked and then Nanami lightly blushed from Tomochika's statement and yet she laughed it off a little saying,
"I don't think he would be interested in a girl like-" Her voice trailed of when Tomochika interrupted her,
"Ah ah ah! There you go again! Haruka, our master is already interested in you its just that he is too damn stubborn."
"Language Shibuya - san." Tokiya retorted back after hearing Tomochika's statement about their master.
"Yeah, yeah. But aren't I correct Ichinose?"
"I've heard from Ren about his reaction from the white dress last night." Tokiya smiled to himself like he is satisfied with his work from his master reaction coming from Ren.
"How about we try the other outfits? There are still two more." Tomochika stated and Tokiya turn around again for Nanami, so she can start changing into another outfit. The second outfit is compose of a dark - blue knife pleated skirt with a light gray hairline stripe turtle neck top but its sleeveless and matching it with black chelsea boots.
"If you are getting cold, I have a poncho here to match with your outfit." Tokiya suggested and pull out a white poncho.
"Thank you very much." Nanami reached for the poncho and then tried it on and Tomochika observed Nanami from head to toe.
"I like this more than the first outfit. Especially that turtleneck."
"I like it as well. The fabric is comfortable and soft." Nanami said while twirling slowly in front of the body mirror.
"You have done yourself once again Ichinose." Tomochika nod towards Tokiya, looking all smug and proud of his work.
"But we still have the last outfit. Why don't you try it on Nanami?" Tokiya said and Nanami look at the last outfit on the bed. Then she tried it on, of course Tokiya turn around again for Nanami's comfort while changing.
"I'm done." Nanami said while standing in front of Tomochika and Tokiya, she is wearing a navy blue, lyocell fabric cossack for her top and a back tight skinny jeans pairing it with white ankle boots.
"I think the second outfit is much better, out of all three outfits that you wore Haruka." Tomochika suggested as she continue to scan Nanami from head to toe with her new outfit.
"I like it too Tomo - chan. I love to wear skirts and dresses more than wearing jeans." Nanami replied back while looking at herself on the full body mirror. Tokiya is also looking at Nanami from head to toe and he just smiled lightly and nod.
"I also think that the second outfit would catch his attention." Once again Nanami blushed on Tokiya's statement.
"This could be our chance." Tomochika squealed and Tokiya nodded in agreement with her statement. Nanami looked at the two of them, dying to know how they become like they are right now.
"Excuse me. Tomo - chan, Tokiya - san. There is something that has been bothering me lately."
"And what would that be Nanami - san?" Tokiya asked the timid girl and Tomochika turned her attention to Nanami as well.
"Umm... I'm just wondering how did you end up like objects? And why is it that you always say 'to get his attention' 'he would fall for you'?" Tokiya and Tomochika looked at each other and then tension is building up inside the room.
"You see Haruka-" There was a knock on the door and the three of them looked at it and a voice was heard behind the door,
"Nanami - san, this is Masato. I am here to escort you to the dinning area."
