Chapter 22: Greed Island X Spoils X Biscuit
Kallua instantly go to the starting point after greeting Eeta, afterwards, he goes into hiding as making some preparations as seeing many players watching the new player as prey. He patiently waits until he found his mother comes out first whom also waiting that Kallua knows she's definitely waiting for Killua.
Few players keep going out, one by one they passing by Gon and going to two different directions where some people are watching them. Kallua then finally sees that Killua has comes out and he notices the two of them also realize they are being watched.
"We are here now, and there are no towns nearby" Killua looks around "Speaking of which, Kallua is not here"
"Un" Gon nodded "Even though he says he will meet us in the game"
"Maybe he went ahead?" Killua said, sounds hurt "He may have fun in playing first and not waiting for us"
"Well that was cold"
The two instantly beam as they turn around seeing Kallua right beside them.
"I always keep promises" Kallua lets out a chuckle "And there is no way I'm betraying my friends"
"Kallua!" The two called him happily and tackled him in a hug which he accepts eagerly as they laugh in reunion.
"Alright, it is time for us to play the game" Kallua said "For now, lets just go to Antokiba"
"Antokiba?" Both Killua and Gon asked questioningly.
"Name of the nearby town from here" Kallua said as he grins when he sees his parents reaction "To be honest Killua, you are not wrong. I have been playing the game when you two are training, you see"
"WHAT!?" Both Killua and Gon yelled "That's unfair!" Killua said as he points accusingly at Kallua.
"Sorry..Sorry" Kallua grins "I only play to the point I know the basics, thats all"
Both Killua and Gon only gives Kallua a stare, seeing Kallua is already few steps ahead from them in game.
"Don't be like that, I do this so that I can help you two" Kallua said, trying to calm them "In any case, let's just go. We are not going to progress if we just hanging out here all day"
The two finally relents and just follow Kallua. On their way, Kallua knows everyone thought of him as new player so he is going to use this as advantage.
"Oh, that's right Gon. How did it go with your save data?" Killua said before then summon his own book "How many cards you have inside?"
"There are none" Gon answer nonchalantly which brought a surprise from Killua but not Kallua as he knows Ging-Jii is not someone to gives anyone a handicap. Even when he plays Greed Island in the first time, he has to clear it by himself. After clearing it, then he got approval from the Game Masters which then spoils him afterwards.
"Ging only gives me message to enjoy the game" Gon said which Killua slightly disapprove as he make the book disappears "To think we have to start from the scratch, It doesn't feel like game though"
Kallua slightly sweatdropped as he thought `Well that is because we are in real world'
"But it is interesting" Gon said as she picks up a rock and turns into cards "Wow, they really are turn into cards"
Kallua goes sweatdropped as he sees the amount of rock cards Gon have "Uhh.. Haven't you had enough?" He even can't believe Gon is placing all of those in her binder.
Killua also agrees with Kallua as the amount is really a lot. Though he has to admit, seeing those item turns into cards is interesting.
"That's right. I need to tell you two something" that made Killua and Gon look at Kallua "When there is a player with a book coming towards us, we need to summon our book. Just like what you did Killua"
"Huh? Why?" Killua asked which Kallua instantly said "It's for bluffing. If they knew you two are new, it would be troublesome"
That made Killua's eyes twitch "But you are not too far from new either, playing ahead for few days didn't count"
Kallua stuck out his tongue in mischievous way as he gives a grin "Yeah, but better than nothing right?"
The two agrees that they didn't know enough, it was then they stopped, noticing a player suddenly arrives in front of them like shooting star with his binder in front of him.
As both Killua and Gon starts to being aware and put their guards up, Kallua starts to call out "Book" then gives a look to Killua and Gon whom just remembers what Kallua has said one minute ago, followed Kallua and summons their book.
"Huh, I thought you would be new. But still, that is quite a delayed reaction from those two"
Kallua took it upon himself to move until he is in front of the two as he gives let his finger close to his lips, indicating the two not to speak any further so they are not giving themselves away.
The player smirks "No matter, I'll find out soon enough"
He starts to put a steal card and press few buttons which made the two tense but Kallua merely sighs then proceed to give the two pats in head, surprises them but it does indeed, calms them down.
" Hmm.. Kallua-kun, Killua-kun and Gon-chan, huh?"
That made the two grew tense further but Kallua merely shook his head and continue the petting which again, giving calm effects despite the situation.
"He uses spell, its part of the game" Kallua answered shortly which the player noted that Kallua is not a newbie as he is now stops and sees the player whom are still analyzing them.
`So one of them is not newbie, let me see' the player thought as he uses steal towards Kallua to see if he has any card but the word in his binder made him surprised.
`Unable to use steal. Player Kallua holy water effect has activated. Steal card was consumed'
`Wh..What. Holy water!? That is an A-rank card for 10 times protection against attack spells!' The player starts to look at Kallua nervously `What's an experienced player doing with the newbie and kids?! Could he be with them? Or maybe just passerby and coincidentally meets them?! I'll better finds out more'
The player starts to grab attack spell card "Trace on! Attack, Killua!"
Gon and Killua react as the card shines and coming towards them but Kallua starts to take his own card "Defensive wall on! Killua!"
Kallua's card shine and the light goes to Killua that form barrier, causing the player's attack spell to be cancelled. The player starts to sweats more, seeing Kallua is experienced and protecting the newbie.
`Damn it! Now I had no chance, I better get out of here!' The player starts another spell "Tch! Return on! To Masadora!"
With that, the player goes once more leaving like he comes. Kallua merely shrugs while both Killua and Gon look dumbfounded.
"Well-" Kallua gives a grin "Few days of experience sure is helping, ne~?"
The two nodded, it definitely gave them big advantage on their situation seeing Kallua did handle those really well.
"What that player just did is harmless. The reason he knows our name is because of the spell card just now. You need to know your target name so that the spell could work, you see"
"Ohh.." The two looks amazed as Kallua continue his explanation "We says the name of the card with on word to activate. Just now that card is attack spell so I used the defensive spell to counter attack. Basically that is the gist of it"
"So that is how to play the game, that does sounds cool" Gon eyes are now twinkling "I want to try it"
Kallua lets out a chuckle "Maybe when we have a card we need to protect. I'll let you call out the spell when the time comes"
"Yatta!" Gon yells out in exciting tone which made Killua slightly smiles at that while Kallua look ahead and sees, their destination is right ahead.
"We have arrived" Kallua said "That is Antokiba, the city of prize"
The two look amazed as they look around, seeing so many different flyers with different prizes on it with the condition of winning it. The big board of monthly tournaments caught their attention, as the two psyched up in wanting to get all informations and winning all the prizes, their stomach starts to growl which made Kallua silently chuckle.
Kallua gives a grin "Lunch first, I presume?"
Killua and Gon blushes and nodded. They are now off to the restaurant where there are promotion of finishing the big serving of spaghetti under 30 minutes, they will have no need to pay and will win the Galgaida card as extra.
The three starts to eat which then look at Kallua in surprise as unlike the two eating without a care of the world, Kallua eats in elegant manner yet still truly fast which really made them feel like barbarians. Either way, the three finishes their food in less than thirty minutes then receive their card prize.
"1217, F-185" Killua said as looking at the card with Gon also look at the card in confusion.
"Book" Kallua said and summon his binder and puts the card in his free slot, seeing his parents look puzzled made him explain.
"The left number is the number of the cards while the sequence on the right ranks how difficult it is to obtain. Since thee are three ranks starts from SS to H, F is the third easier to get with the number next to the rank is the items maximum transformation limit" Kallua explains which his parents get as the first card they receive is nothing but a junk "By the way, you might want to put that card in your binder first, or that card will transform into item when 60 seconds pass then we can't change it back to a card again"
Killua is now dreaded the thought of having to carry this disgusting fish if it turns into item which he loathed. Instantly, the two summons their binder and puts the card in the free slot, letting out sigh of relief that the card didn't transform on its own as they return the book while Kallua still kept his open for he notices that he needs to pay the drinks.
Once they are about to leave, the chef stops them as indeed the food is free but the drinks they ordered are not. When Kallua takes out the card money he already count to pay, he sees Killua taking out the money in paper which causes him to stifle a laugh as he knows that obviously it would be rejected and the two were shocked to see that they have to pay the money in card form.
Kallua starts to stifle another laugh after they has finished paying with Kallua's money of course, and currently are outside the restaurant. He has been so caught up in trying not to laugh that he almost forgot paying for even the chef already call the police station and his parents about to prepare to wash the dishes in exchange. Killua gives a glare at Kallua, whom found the exchange amusing.
"You should have told us sooner" Killua said in low voice while Kallua still tries to calm himself " Alright.. bad, heh"
"Mou Kallua" Gon stars to pout as she puff her cheeks which Kallua just found her cuter "That was mean"
That made Kallua successfully calm himself as he tries to apologize "I'm sorry.. I'm really-"
BOOOM!
Loud explosion loudly rang out as they rush towards the source, seeing group of onlookers has already formed. Once they sees the corpse, the two notices that it was one of the guy that comes with them when they arrives.
"Kallua...Could the game spell have done this?" Gon asked cautiously which Killua also look at Kallua for clarification.
"No worries, none of attack spells in the game is capable of killing" Kallua said calmly though he truly knows who is behind this "This is the work of Nen"
"You sure know your stuff"
The three look behind to see a man, another player looks approvingly at Kallua "He is indeed killed by Nen, I presume you know why"
Kallua lets out a short sigh "Player hunting, wasn't it?" which the player nodded.
"Player hunting?" Killua asked which before Kallua could explain, the man cuts him off.
"In any case, are you three interested in teaming up? We know of a sure way to team up" that invite reaction from Killua and Gon "If you are interested, follow me. My allies are waiting ahead"
The three starts to look at each other "What should we do?" Gon asked "Sounds suspicious and we're already off to a bad start" Killua said before turns at Kallua
"Kallua, what do you think? You did have experience of few days" Killua gives a teasing grin which Kallua lets out a short sigh.
"Right, I never sees you before but you are experienced one aren't you?" The player stated as he looks at Kallua "You did have spell cards and have used it"
As they gives a stare, Kallua spoke up "You must be watching us when we are in starting point"
The player nodded "Yes but we have no choice. This game is difficult, unpleasant and frightening. Once you realize that, you'll be more willing to accept our offer. You two newbie may be protected by this experienced guy but you guys could use the information"
"What makes you think we are first time player? We could be returning players or experienced like he is" Killua said at the end, points at Kallua.
The player goes silent before summons his book which Kallua counters with summoning his own while both Killua and Gon instantly makes the distance.
"Hey! Didn't we just cover this few hours ago!?" Kallua looks at Killua and Gon whom blurted out "Ah" Before summons their own book.
"Yup, that really is reaction of beginner" the player said " Any experienced player will react by summoning his own binder because you need spell cards to protect yourself" The player took a side glance at Kallua "The reaction he shows by summoning his own binder is proof that he is experienced"
The two returns their book then walks towards Kallua whom just returns his book along with the player. Kallua lets out a short sigh "I told you guys to summon your book when you see a player summon theirs, why didn't you guys do it?"
"Oh..uh, we thought we need distance?" Gon replies unsurely as she scratch the back of her head while Killua just look other way seems forgotten on what Kallua told them.
"Well, maybe we should come. Right Killua, Kallua? We need to know more after all" Gon said which the two gives a stare and agrees as they can't against Gon after all.
Once they have arrives to where the player has gotten them, Kallua make sure to make them have some distance as he sees the Bomber present. Having the Bomber in the group is definitely not good and he has to think of a way for them to refuse their offer to joins them. But he also could see Biscuit, look young as always without regards of the actual age. He notices Biscuit suddenly have chills as if someone thinks of something rude which definitely caused by him, he made sure to avoid eye contact with her.
They started the point of asking people to join their group. The discussion starts with the bomber has killed one of the guys that arrives in the same time with them. The Player Hunting topic starts to shows up where players starts to kill for they are preying on newbie and when they acquire valuable card, it will be stolen immediately along with the reason for the transformation limit will increase if the player dies. The topic about Greed Island game is about killing players made Gon react that Kallua notices. He gives a gentle pat on the head to calm her down which interest Biscuit.
When it was the turn of joining comes, Gon starts to mutter in anger.
"Killua, Kallua, I'm sorry"
Before the two could ask what was it about, Gon starts to decline in joining which made Kallua completely agree inside. Once Gon says she's out, She starts to stomp her way out in anger.
"You heard the leader, I have to pass" Killua said before he goes Kallua also follows with a wave of his hand "Pass"
Kallua and Killua starts to call her out the moment they are a bit far and almost near the entrance. Gon suddenly stops and took a deep breath before then turn and apologize to the two as she can't take it anymore whom didn't understand on why is she apologizing.
"I'm just selfishly out without consulting with you two. I hate when they keep saying bad things about his game, where it is about killing and stealing. I want to follow what Ging said, to enjoy the game. When I first start play the game, I know it won't be easy but I never thought players would be willing to hurt each other when I thought they should enjoy the game"
As Gon said that, both Kallua and Killua just nonchalantly looks at Gon.
"I think it is acceptable" Killua said ,followed by Kallua "It is game for Hunter after all"
Both Killua and Kallua look at each other in side glance gives a grin as they are aware they are always sees matter eye to eye.
Gon seems hurt and angry that both Kallua and Killua thinks like that.
"Killing is wrong and I agree with you on that part, but what if the two player have a fair fight with predetermined rules and the winner gets the card?" Killua said which Gon nodded as it is acceptable.
"Just like when that player uses attack spell and when those guy carry out their plan, they did it according to the game rules, right?" Kallua continues which Gon also found it is acceptable.
"Though it does feels lame, we should forget about them and enjoy the game" Killua said, glad that Gon finally cheered up "We should have our own method of playing the game, enjoying the game just like Ging wanted" Kallua continued before then gives a smile at Kallua who return with his as the two walk ahead in same steps.
"Killua, Kallua"
"Hm?" The two stops and turns to look at Gon "Thank you"
That made the two of them caught off guard, especially with what Gon said next.
"I'm glad that you two came with me. I'm glad to know you two and be together with Killua" Gon starts to grab both of her boyfriend and her guy friend arm together "I really love you guys"
"Uh.." The two instantly blushes, they did know Gon truly frank about her words but that is something they will have a hard time to get used to.
Killua, being tsundere starts to tell her not to be embarrassing while Kallua have part tsundere but more dere only cover his warm face with his other hand but letting a small smile came across his face.
Killua could see how happy his girlfriend is and seeing Kallua is not looking made him feels a bit brave, planting a quick, soft kiss on her cheek which made Gon blushes. Looking at her like that made Killua thought that it was him who is glad to meet her and become her boyfriend as well as loving her deeply. Yet he also feels the same thing as he gaze at Kallua who finally takes his hand off his face, still having pink shade on his cheek. He thought that he is also glad to meet Kallua and him become his best friends who always supports him and his rival whom he wishes to beat someday.
Kallua looks at his mother whom is now blushing, not knowing why before he also thought, how glad he is to meet his parents when they are kids who are more open and more accepting as it may have something to do with the age factor. But he felt really close with them, closer than his own parents in future. He sees Gon is now looking at him, as if trying to see if he did feel the same way. He did, and gives a gentle pat to her along with gentle smile.
As they are enjoying their moment, neither realizes Biscuit is watching them.
"How adorable, the relationship of those three. Who would have thought love triangle could be that pure and innocent" Her smile turns sinister as she utter the next words "I wonder what would happen if I mess them up, can't wait for it"

In nightfall, they rented a room with two beds after having dinner on nearby restaurant, with Killua paying for the dinner and the room which both Killua and Gon felt bad but they do have no money and glad Kallua did play ahead of them. Obviously Killua and Kallua share a bed with Gon alone in her bed. Killua won't accept Gon sleep with Killua and he won't sleep with Gon in same bed either. At least Killua is glad that sleeping with Kallua is like sleeping with a soft, warm plushie though he won't say it.
"We really need to save enough money to buy needed necessities so we can move on to other place, ne?" Gon asked as she rolls around the bed then look at her ring.
"I still have enough money, so theres no need to worry" as that word escape Kallua's lips, he is met with the two glaring at them.
"No way...we are capable to earn our money" Killua gives a sharper glare "If this keeps up, it will be just like in York New again"
"Alright, alright" Kallua said before goes in bed and make enough space for Killua to lay " The monthly tournament usually offers much better prize so we should enter those"
Killua then lay beside Kallua as he pulls the blanket "No need to worry about us, okay?" Gon chimes in with "Un" before lays her own blanket to sleep.
Once the two are asleep, Kallua is still awake as what Killua just said is swirling in his mind. But he disregard it after 10 minutes then just went to sleep like the others.
The next day, the three go to enter the Rock, Paper, Scissor monthly tournament after Gon gave them short secret version of the training. To be honest, at first Killua is annoyed when they are having practice match, Gon always winning. After hearing the secret training his girlfriend learns from a random fisherman, now he grumbles as so that is the reason why she could be the number one when they are deciding the order to enter the game.
"Killua catch up pretty quick" Gon said as she is in her thinking pose "Leorio even have a hard time learning it"
"Ah.." Both Killua and Kallua lets out a short sigh, remembering that Leorio definitely brought that downfall with Rock, Paper, Scissor game.
"Still, this seems like cheating" Killua said as he remembers the lesson which Gon just nonchalantly said "So we shouldn't use it?"
"...Use it"
Kallua gives a slight chuckle at how quick Killua is giving in, well he did remember Killua ever said that quick and dirty method is better.
"Oh right, should we have a practice match, Kallua?" Kallua shrugs "We are almost out of time, the match will starts soon"
"That is true" Gon looks and see it is about to start "If three of us entering, we will have more chance of winning" Gon said as she pumped up "Let's win this game! Yay"
"Yay!" Both Killua and Kallua raise their fist and enters the game.
Kallua is in the final, which surprises the two since Kallua didn't suffer a single loss. That fact made Killua have determination to beat Kallua even if he has to beat Gon first. Now, both Gon and Killua in semi-final, facing each other as they are now in draw and on the last round. Killua gives a grin then using his final technique to fool Gon, switching hand tricks that made Gon lose.
"Mou, Killua" Gon gives a glare that Killua only found her cuter " Hehe, my secret technique is working, too bad Gon. No one said that we are only allowed to use right hand" When he watches her grumble, Killua's tone turn serious "Now is time for all out"
When its time for Killua to face off with Kallua, Killua prepares himself, as if fighting the last boss. Even Gon had to admit when Killua facing her, it feels kind of just..playing but with Kallua, its as if its a fiery competition.
"Lets do this!" Both Killua and Kallua slightly raise their hand "Rock, Paper, Scissor!"
Kallua wins... in overwhelming victory.

"Um.. Don't be discouraged Killua" Kallua tries to calm Killua as he place the winning card, Sword of Truth of card number 83 in his binder before return the binder "You did great for thinking some winning strategy, even wins against Gon" Kallua looks at Killua whom still depressed after the game "Let's just won more contest so we can get more cards to sell then we can go to Masadora, alright?"
Killua grumbles more "I can't get a single win..." Then more mutters as he stealing some glances at Kallua "Damn.. does this guy have any weaknesses?"
"Maa...Killua, you did great. It doesn't matter if you win or lose" Gon gives a hearty grin as she gives a side hug for Killua whom accepts it eagerly with blush "Plus, you look really cool back there"
That makes Killua blush more and felt giddy inside, never thought that he looks cool from Gon even though he lost, guess that is fine.
"Well I guess I can't win against Kallua in battle of deception" Kilua gives a sigh before notice the look Kallua gave him.
"Deception huh.." Kallua gives a stare at his ring "Book"
When Kallua flips the binder page, both Killua and Gon stunned to see Kallua took out the card they just win, the sword of truth and hand it over to Killua.
"Wait..Wha?" Killua gape as he takes the card "What are you doing, Kallua?" Even Gon had a hard time understanding on what Kallua is thinking to hand over the prize just like that.
"Think of it as an experience. You two have rare card but have nothing to protects it. Instead of thinking like that, try to think in other perspective" Kallua gives a grin "Try hard to protect that, I won't give a helping hand"
The two gives a stare at Kallua before then nodded and formulate plan to protect the card as the two summon their own binder and getting close which Killua silently enjoys as they are trying to make sure how to protect while Kallua just return his binder and waits for how they are protecting the card by themselves without defensive spell. Seeing the two discuss the possibility with smiles made him smile as well though he could see some people are now shifting their target once they sees he is handing the card towards Killua.
Kallua do know that Killua whom often play games, capable to pick up the attack spell and how they work. Indeed he did, even suggesting they are capable for defense without defensive spell if it goes smoothly and Kallua almost laugh out loud when Gon calls her boyfriend a game maniac.
" I'm not a maniac! I'm a normal person!" Killua yelled out loud which Kallua understands that if you see both Killua and uncle Milluki play games, it will be apparent that Killua is more normal person and Milluki is the game maniac.
Once they are done, they goes around to find more cards to earn and sell. Though in the few days, they are only able to get some cards that are not in designated slot and only in free slots that they traded for some money that Killua loath as the shopkeeper keep saying the same thing over and over again.
They took one more the last trip to trade four Galgaida for 12 thousand Jenny. When they get the money, Killua with Kallua tries to get out fast the store before the shopkeeper starts the same spiel again.
"Wait"
"Huh?"
"Gon!" Both Killua and Kallua instantly yell with Gon said "Oops"
The shopkeeper instantly launch the spiel of asking them to save their money in the shop as it will be safe and will be convenient. Not wanting to hear more, Killua drag Gon out while Kallua walk himself out then Killua slam the door shut with annoyed look on his face.
"Killua...that is rude" Gon said as she stares at the door, feels a bit bad at the shopkeeper that hasn't finished "He is programmed that way, no need to worry" Killua just gives a scoff as he thought they are finally going to move forward to other place and will not have to listen to that shopkeeper again.
The three starts to walk and notices three person following them. Amateur that is definitely really weak that they even hardly spare any effort and sees them clearly when they look their behind. Seeing they are not worth their time, both Killua and Kallua just shrug with Gon and just walk without a care in world.
"Wait you three! Stays there!"
`Ah, someone has makes the first move' Kallua thought as he sees one of them moves forward while the other two gape in shock for they are late.
"Give up the sword of truth!" The three merely blinks as that didn't sound threatening "If you do as I say, I will not harm you!"
"No way, Idiot!"
Kallua could see how Killua instant reply shocked that guy deeply, to the point that guy is on the verge to pass out in shock with Killua's words is echoing inside his mind. Still, the three just walk on like nothing happened for few seconds before that player calls them out again and takes out his binder.
"Book" Both Killua and Gon instantly countered with Kallua nodded as they are finally learning. Kallua made it clear to the two that he won't help so they understand why Kallua is not opening his binder.
The player caught on their bluffing as he starts using Thief card to Killua for stealing random card in designated pocket but failed as Killua had no card in designated pocket which render the card useless. Kallua had to hold a chuckle, as seeing that guy in despair over his rare card being useless is interesting to watch.
Another player starts to come over once he gets information of the card being in free slot. He starts to use pickpocket card to Killua but fails once more when Killua has no card in free slot as all of Killua's cards are inside Gon's binder. The guy didn't give up as he have more pickpocket card and uses it on Gon which is successful but the card he got is just a normal rock.
"Ah, you did pick up a lot of them when we are on our way to Antikoba" Kallua said with a chuckle along with Killua "Never thought it being useful for us for you do that"
The second guy gives up as he stomps the stolen card with frustration. Both Killua and Gon grins along with Kallua as he sees the smart way his parent uses to protect the card. Afterwards, the third guy joins in, brimming with confidence as he already make sure to finds out that the sword of truth card are inside Gon's binder all along and not inside Killua's. Once he taken out the card Rob that able to take any card in any pockets, Killua starts to give signal for Gon whom before the card could be activated, Gon instantly took the card.
"You are an amateur right? She is a professional hunter" Killua said with confidence to tell that he too is a professional. Gon even adds that he can't follow her movement and returns his card saying that she won't return it next time. Even when he tries, the three instantly looks at him made him gives up and gives last yelling that there are millions player stronger than them and even not able to get out of game even they want to yet the three just walk casually ahead.
Kallua gives a grin "That's great, you two really capable to protect the card without any defensive spell" Both of them certainly filled with pride as Kallua compliments them but Killua know that defensive spells are important "Thanks Kallua, but if they are stronger than us, defensive spells are really needed"
Gon agress especially Killua adds in "If Pro targeting us right now, we wont stand a chance" not a second after that, they felt presences.
"So you do understand"
They found themselves surrounded by Pro Hunters and saying not only amateurs are targeting their card, especially they could see how those guys are having fun picking on them on what order they should use to steal and even saying only idiots participating in tournament. That really pissed them but Killua declare they should give up the card as it's better than bomber.
So they did, once they get the card, they use accompany and leaves them alone afterwards. Gon slumped in frustration which the two understand but Killua just calmly stated "We need to go to Masadora, city of magic next for spell cards then"
Gon instantly sprung up "No complaints!" Then she grins "Once we have spell cards, we can use it! Right, Kallua?!"
Kallua nodded then he notices Killua look slightly depressed "What's wrong?"
"Sorry Kallua" Killua gives a downhearted reply "We let them takes the card away"
Gon realizes it and went downhearted as well "Yeah, sorry"
Kallua merely gives another pat "Oh come on, that is fine. Besides you two did great job back there"
Both Killua and Gon felt better at that
"Plus" That caught the two off guard "I do win the battle of deception"
"Eh?"
"Book" Kallua takes out his binder an flip few pages before then took out a card that made the two jaw dropped.
It was the sword of truth card.
Before the two could utter why, Kallua gives a grin "What they stole is merely card I make with fake. This is the real one" Kallua slightly waves the card "Pretty sure they are in frustration right now"
Kallua is indeed right as when the group found out it was fake, they goes into meltdown and now unable to approach the group like before. Their pride are destroyed with a fake after all.
"So all they are targeting all along is just fake" Kallua puts the card back then returns the binder " From the first I just give you guys the fake so it all work out well, didn't it?"
"What the- so you are deceiving us!?" Killua points at Kallua in anger but he merely smiles "To fool the enemy, you need to fool your friends, right?"
They just stood in shock and defeat as indeed, they are beaten by Kallua in the battle of deception.

They filled some of their binder spaces with food and water before Killua suggest they do need a map for their trip. They ended up choosing the cheap one as that is the only one they could afford. Along with Gon tells them it will be more fun to fill it in themselves.
"You positive mind of girlfriend, it does sound kinda painful" Killua mutters as he took the map card to buy.
To be truthful, Kallua has a lot money and able to buy the more expensive map but he kept his mouth shut as he didn't want to reveal more than needed.
"Gain" Killua activates the map, only to find the map doesn't tell anything much.
"Let's just ask around"
That short statement from Gon made Killua have `are you serious' look for they just spend a lot of their money on useless map.
Without any leads, they returns to the trade shop once more and Killua exploded as the information to go to Masadora cost them three thousand jennies.
"I'm paying, don't worry Killua" Kallua said as he quickly took the needed money then pays the shopkeeper before Killua have another exploding anger.
After receiving the money, the shopkeeper starts to talk "From this city, you'll have to go over this mountain and if you go south about 80 km, then you'll se a lake. And if you follow that lake northwest, then you should get to Masadora. There'll be two small cities along your route, so you should rest there"
"If it's just 80 km, we'll get there in a day,right?" Killua look at the two whom nodded in confirmation.
"That's if you make it there alive"
The warning made their attention shifted back to the shopkeeper "There is a bandit hideout in the mountains, and they take everything, even clothes. Even if you get lucky enough to get past them, once you get past the mountains, there will be many monsters"
Once they hear enough of the last warning, they instantly went outside and close the door before hearing spiel of saving money.
"Bandits" Killua exclaims excitingly along with Gon "Monsters"
Seeing the two look excited made Killua think truly a kid his parents are before realizing, he is a kid as well. Is this the effects of being his parents guardians for quite a long time!?
As they walk out from Antokiba, a sweet sounding voice calls out to them which Kallua gulped as it was Biscuit and asking them to join their party.
"No way, you can't" Killua instantly said which made Kallua look at Biscuit having a split half second of irritation before back into her acting of helpless lady. Only Kallua notices it while the others just look not interested.
"W-Why not?" Biscuit said as she lets her eyes turn upwards to look cute but-
"You'd be a nuisance"

Even Kallua could hear that, he could feel Biscuit's thread of sanity snap as she is in rage inside. She is now cursing them for underestimate her when she could just mop the floor with one hand for being called nuisance. She thought of messing them a bit but for being called that, now she vows to destroy them without mercy. Kallua could feel what Biscuit is thinking mostly and not wanting his parents in trouble, he steps ahead and-
"I'm so sorry! Please forgive us"
The two blinks at Kallua apologizing while Biscuit surprised but definitely felt better.
"Kallua, what are you-" Kallua cuts Killua off" M-Maa, we are fine with accepting her, right? Tsezguerra did acknowledge her, and there is no way for her to be a nuisance"
Biscuit nodded as silently approve of Kallua while she thought he might be under her charm to protects her. She takes another good look at Kallua whom way more mature than that brat (Killua)
"No way, let's just go" Killua said simply as he drags Kallua with Gon not say anything and also leave. To be honest, she didn't want Biscuit to join as she is afraid that Killua may be more friendlier with that girl than her which is why she just goes silent all the way.
"E- Ehh!?" Honestly Kallua could just easily free himself but he could see Biscuit acting starts to falter a bit as she says rude then ended with please word, her acting surely has to be feared. He lets Killua drags him until they are near the mountain and the three runs ahead with Biscuit kept distance and chasing them effortlessly.
"She is still following us" Gon said as she occasionally look behind "I wonder what she wanted"
"Just ignore her" Killua said while glancing at Kallua "Kallua is right, she is acknowledged by Tsezguerra so she should be fine even if we did encounter monster or bandits"
"Well..yeah, but I think it's kinda mean" Kallua mutter which Killua caught.
"Oi Kallua, don't tell me the reason you protect her.." Kallua look at Killua in confusion "You like her at first sight?"
"What!? No!" Kallua instantly countered as there is no way since Biscuit should be 57 this year "I didn't think of her that way!"
"Really?" Killua gives a teasing grin as Kallua usually hard to tease, even Gon starts to grin along with Killua. Kallua merely sigh "Don't tease me Killua, Gon"
Biscuit may following them at distance where she couldn't hear but somehow she got feelings that they are talking about her. She sees that the three had good physical strength for kids and guardian (?)
The three stopped as they sees group of Bandits come towards them. Killua purposely let his foot graze the ground to see if they made the first move but none. After waiting few moments with Kallua noticing Biscuit took short break as she dusted her skirt, they prepares their battle stance with the bandits jump on them and-
Kneel as they yelled" Please help us!"
The three look at each other and the two shrugs while Kallua just stare in silent, knowing what will happen. When they decided to hear the bandits out, they are taken to the cabin with Biscuit also following as they are shown the scene of all the Bandits gotten sick and unable to do any Bandits work. Then asking all the money they had for wanting to buy medicine for the sick son for if they had no medicine, their son would only have 2-3 days to live.
"We have collected all the money we had...we just short on 120.000 Jennies. Will you please spare us some money"
The three look at each other as Gon mutter" That's all we had" with Killua nodded "They must have knew the amount we had in beginning"
Kallua just slightly stare at the ceiling as he actually had more but manage to hid it from NPC with Eeta and Elena help. They didn't count Biscuit because she is not in their party so they didn't ask for help. In any case he sees Gon seems to be feel sympathy but Killua immediately shots it down with saying its just game events.
"Ano... If you guys need some money to pitch in, I can help"
"Ah, could you just shut up for a moment"
Kallua looks at enraged Biscuit because of Killua's attitude in dismissing her with thinking of killing the brat. Kallua instantly clasp his hand for apologizing looking at Biscuit with muttering 'I'm sorry' all over to ease her anger which luckily did work. He sees Gon is now handing their money then suddenly, the sick son saying he is cold which next thing the bandit asked were their clothes .
Gon looks in longing stare then says they will hand over their clothes, Kallua stops Gon after she said that words "There is no way I'm letting them take yours, they could just take mine, right?" Kallua said in slight threatening tone to Gon so she won't lose her clothes which Killua also nodded in agreement and giving them his clothes too. Its good the bandits agreed with the two guys clothes , so it leaves with the bandits took their outer clothes while the girl include Biscuit get off with fully clothes.
"We didn't get anything!?"
Killua yelled in anger then frustration as they are now running down the mountain then more grumbles that they are now broke with their clothes are taken but at least they could prevent Gon's clothes are taken. Gon tries to cheer them up with now that they are passing the Bandits, they should be able to meet lots of monsters, turn them into cards and able to sell them for lots of money then arrives at Masadora. As they thought of that, Gon and Killua are now in competition for saying they will show Kallua on what had they been training which Kallua merely nod "Can't wait for it then"
They stops at rocky area and jumps down to be met with group of Cyclops. Kallua starts observing his parents first, to see how they will fight the cyclops as he take some distance. When Gon is having some difficulty for her punch is not working and jumps around, both Killua and Kallua has to make sure they are not looking at the inappropriate area. He sees Killua instantly notice the weakness, the eye and attacking it. Once he informs Gon, Kallua knows they'll be fine and starts to attack the cyclops and take some cards while left the others turn back to the monsters. He do notices that Biscuit is observing them in distance.
"Those two moves around too much but that guy didn't, he took them out in efficient,short moves. The two do reasonably well but he is way better than them"
Kallua lets out a smile as he sees his parents celebrates and have some confidence in beating other monsters as the monsters may have weaknesses that they would know when they stay calm and think rationally which Kallua nodded as what Killua said is right. As the three about to move forward, they are met with Melanin Lizard. When Kallua prepares to fight, both Gon and Killua instantly runs away from the huge size.
"Wait a minute!What about think calm and rationally!?" Kallua turns back and yelled at his parents retreating figure as the lizard moves closer to him yet Kallua merely jumps up in split second as the distance is 1 meter apart and hit the weakness, the mole spot on the back of the lizard which beats it instantly.
"Huh, so he beats it without any difficulty. To think he knows the weakness so fast and accurate too" Biscuit observes before chase the two whom are retreating nearby and still unaware of Kallua had beaten the monsters "Those two may be in trouble if he is not there with them"
Kallua goes to where his parents are and instantly met with them having...a dance!? He have to cover his mouth or he will laugh when he sees how hard his parents are focusing on trying to catch `Marimo' the fastest creature yet no damage in attack. Seeing his parents clap up,side and move around in the spot is really cute and amusing for him, though he could also sees Biscuit is not amused and more frustrating that they can't even catch it in 10 minutes despite there are patterns, it ran away without the two noticing and- in Kallua's direction.
Without wasted movement, Kallua just flick his hand and grab Marimo's tail instantly, turning it into card and puts it in binder. Both Killua and Gon turn to see Kallua is there, already closing the binder and not noticing anything, only grumbles that it takes a long time for him to catch up which Kallua merely apologizes as he scratch the back of his head. Biscuit do notices Kallua is there for a while and truly acknowledge him unlike the two.
"It's great that the monster are all weak" Killua stated and Gon agress "At this rate we will reach Masadora"
Kallua just went silent as he sees his parents are still not there yet, since they can't even catch a single monster which is why its up to him to protect them. They are then greeted by a monster bubble horse which Gon thinks its..a horse right? While Killua commented on how stupid it look as it even has more stupid face, that makes Kallua lets unbelievable short laugh.
The Bubble Horse starts to attacks, letting out bubbles of white and red. When the white bubbles explode then generating shock waves when in contact with the two, Kallua instantly went ahead, using Zetsu and Ten, switching instantly while passing the bubbles and grab the bubble horse, turning it into card then put in binder and return to the original position. What impress Biscuit is that Kallua did this so swiftly that neither the two are noticing, they even thought the Bubble Horse are getting away. Biscuit have to admit if she took her eyes elsewhere for a second, she would have miss the whole thing.
Biscuit still sees the whole thing in shock and frustration. She sees the two keep encountering monsters but Kallua keep defeats them without they noticing. She truly shocked that the two could still be in positive attitude after being protected numerous times and frustrated that the two keep wasted their potential when they are raw stones that could be polished to shine like diamond. BUT what frustrates her more is that Kallua keep protecting them like they are babies! It's like he knows they wouldn't be able to survive without him and he is not letting them know!
`Gah... I can't take it..' Biscuit is now letting loose her emotions `I've had enough!'
They are now met with armor walking towards them. Kallua already use Gyo and knows the Remote controlled rat is hiding, as he is about to go to the source of the controller-
"GYO!"
The three turn to see the source of voice and sees Biscuit but she angrily tells them to keep their eyes on the enemy and tells them to use Gyo again or were they had no idea!?
"We do know.." Killua muttered with Gon "But we forgot all about it. And also, didn't her demeanor changes compared to before?"
Kallua agrees with what Gon just said before he look sideway as he didn't tell his parents to use it. Once the two notices the armor are merely puppet being controlled, both Killua and Kallua being distraction while Gon looks out for the source and found remote controlled rat whom are instantly turns to card when it met Gon causing the armor to collapse after no controller.
"I got the card" Gon excitingly said as she puts in her binder while Biscuit jumps down which Kallua look away again so he wont look at another inappropriate area. Killua is only has his eyes at Gon so he didn't see anything which is good.
"So you two can use Gyo...Why didn't you use it before?" Biscuit demands before turn to Kallua "And why didn't you tell them to use it!?"
Both Killua and Gon look at each other, avoiding eye contact with Biscuit along with Kallua whom just look upwards.
"So you forgot.." Biscuit turn to Kallua "Or you didn't want to say?"
"Its not like that..." Kallua mutter but still didn't make any eye contact with Biscuit.
Biscuit sighed before pointing her index finger upwards.
"Number 1!" Kallua instantly said in reflex as he too had this kind of training a long time ago. Biscuit nodded before look at the other two "Do it just like him! Use Gyo whenever I lift my finger and holler out what you see. If you ever sees or sense anything suspicious use Gyo immediately, alright!?"
Killua counters in anger" Wait, why are you ordering us around?"
In response to that, she lift her finger upwards.
"Number 5 " Both Gon and Kallua said, though albeit, Kallua is faster. Biscuit nodded before asking Killua to drop and give two hundreds push up for punishment.
Killua instantly protest which Biscuit stated there shouldn't be any problem but Killua counter protest again with not wanting to have anything to do with stranger. Seeing that made Biscuit remembered that she hasn't introduce herself yet.
"Oh right, I haven't introduce myself right?" Biscuit points herself "I'm the Pro Hunter Biscuit Krueger. I first learned Nen 40 years ago, so I will use my wealth of knowledge and experience to coach you two so you two should be grateful"
"Forty years ago!?" Gon stated in shock while Killua merely stated "You are an old hag!"
Biscuit punch Killua to the sky as that is what she always want to do. Kallua instantly yells Killua's name and chase after Killua to find and heals him, leaving Gon dumbfounded at the girl..uh someone way older. She can't deny that she felt relieved at that fact.
`Ahhh, that was close. I thought Killua would likes him but hearing the age gap do make me relieved' Gon thought in jealousy while staring at Biscuit whom look at her amusingly.
