Chapter 23: Meddling X Grow up X Open up

Both Killua and Kallua finally returns after a while, with Killua keeps grumbling about `old hag' repetitively which made Kallua slightly nudge him to stops or else he will be sent flying again. Once they arrives, Biscuit once more saying that she will train them and asking them to obey her every word of what she teach in return of dropping the formalities.

Killua instantly rejects as he felt they are not desperate for having stranger to trains them, Killua even turns to Gon for help as she told that they have both Wing and Kallua as their teachers. Biscuit's ears perks up at hearing the familiar name, Wing as she told them Wing's characteristic which is a spot on , someone with messy hair and glasses including never tuck his shirt, undoubtedly Wing for sure. Both Killua and Gon had no idea why Biscuit knows about Wing while Kallua already knows.

"Wing is one of my student" Biscuit said, answering the question of their mind earning unbelievable looks from Killua while Gon seems impressed. Biscuit reminisced a bit at the thought of Wing already becomes a teacher and asking if they are Pro Hunter.

"Only those two" Killua said, pointing at both Kallua and Gon.

"So you two pass the secret exam?" Biscuit asked and both of them nodded. Kallua looks at Biscuit unchanged expression but he could tell there must be some sort of scheme his parents master is thinking, since his father keep telling him how wicked she is and he has to agree (though he always agree to his parents no matter what)

Gon looks excited at Biscuit, whom once been an hunter examiner while Killua still doubts Biscuit. The moment Biscuit comes towards Killua, Gon's excited look turn crushed as Biscuit said she likes him (in Gon's perspective) when she actually said Killua is a stubborn little boys and like to see that in kids. Kallua slightly rubs his mother's shoulder to calm her down and luckily she did as Biscuit moves back.

"Speaking of which, you said you weren't desperate aren't you?" Biscuit said, looking at Kallua "Book" she taking out her binder and taking out the card of Marimo which both Killua and Gon acknowledge as the one that got away. Their shock grew when they sees the rank, its only D and its a normal card. Kallua slightly wince at that, somehow having a bad feeling.

"You two can't even caught this monster when there are many people who could obtain this card without much difficulty" Bisuke lets her gaze rest at Kallua "You two aren't even aware of what your companion did, in any case, if you two meets someone evil and stronger, none of you will notice-"

Both Kallua and Biscuit felt that, bloodlust and it definitely didn't come from him. Biscuit knows Kallua notices as he whispers to the other two to sit down and to pretend that they are chatting with Biscuit following Kallua's order.

The intruder grins at the three kids and one teenager, presumably their guardian. He still knows he has upper hand, so he grins before erase his presence once more and gain some distance for opportunity.

Biscuit whispers "Don't do anything suspicious or he'll notice" Kallua nodded at that with both Killua and Gon seems bewildered at how could they notice an intruder.

"He lets tiny bit of bloodlust escape, he relaxes because he sees us kids and him only slightly older than us" Kallua bitterly looks at Biscuit at that, seeing once more he is thought for being older than they are. "In any case, he quickly conceal his bloodlust along with his presence, that shows how pretty good he is" at that words, Killua look down dejectedly as both he and Gon can't felt his presence, let alone locate him while both Kallua and Biscuit can.

"What should we do" Killua asked as he looks at Kallua at his left and Biscuit in front of him, which Biscuit compliments him inside as a bright boy for knowing the situation.

Biscuit returns the book back as she asks on what they are thinking of doing. Gon instantly thinking four of them should stick together so the intruder will be more cautious and won't attack recklessly. Killua agrees but Biscuit rejects in saying the three of them and her should separate as the enemy will come at her in 100%. She instructs them to walk 500 meters to that stone pillar without erasing their presence, then returns immediately.

"Okay, stalk the stalker-"

"Ah.." Biscuit slightly gasps as she does thought of slapping Killua for being rude. But why she gasp lightly, the reason why is because instead of Killua, Kallua was the one who receives her slap as he push Killua slightly out of the way of the slap range.

Even both Gon and Killua speechless at that, while Kallua just goes silent.

"If you three are going to be that way, then so be it!" Biscuit yells angrily, manage to snap herself out "I've had enough, bye-bye!" Biscuit then leaves, adding stomps for her dramatic acting. Killua yells angrily back as Kallua didn't say a thing. It took Gon a moment to notice that they are acting before the three then walks at the opposite way from Biscuit, Kallua even notices that the intruder indeed, having his sights on Biscuit and follows her.

"Kallua, is your cheek alright?" Gon asked as she sees how his pale cheek turns red. Seeing that made Kallua lightly shook his head, not to worry his mother as he spoke in gentle voice "No problem, I'm fine"

Killua just looks at Kallua for a while before spoke in bitter tone "You and that woman are really something. I was on full alert so I'll be ready to react at a moments notice. But I didn't even notice she is going to slap me along with you push me out of the way" Killua looks at Kallua "Only when I finally felt my sight view have shifted is when I realized what you two had done"

Gon seems surprises at that fact, but after that, the three just silently walk further.

In Biscuit case, she is still angry that Killua could say such things. Stalking the stalker when he can't even felt their presence. Yet she is still angry at Kallua's action. Not only he protects the two from monster, he even protects Killua from her slap. This makes Biscuit wonders, how much extent did he puts in protects them!?

The three finally arrives at the stone pillar, afterwards, they use Zetsu and hurry back, just in time to see the intruder has eat Biscuit's hair to learn more about her. Once he did, he fall speechless as he learns Biscuit true age and her physical appearance conceals the strength she achieve through intensive training. Once he puts down all of his weapon, he insist on asking Biscuit on duel which Biscuit accepts.

What happens shocks the two as they sees Biscuit easily flips him to the air and hits his stomach mid air. Both Killua and Gon could see the flipping moment as the first thing they notices, they recognize Biscuit's strength as the opponent is not weak by any means, Biscuit is way stronger which is why it appears that way.

They finally knows the danger as they are being protected by Kallua all the time. In any case, that pleased Biscuit that they are finally aware while Kallua silently grit his teeth.

"Biscuit-San" Gon called out "Bisky is fine" Biscuit intercepts "If you insists on using honorific, call me Bisky-chama!"

"Bisky it is then" Kallua said while Killua instantly reply"I'll just call you Hag"

This time Killua is not flying as Kallua block Bisky's punch. Now Bisky sees Kallua is indeed still intend on protecting them. Bisky lets out a glare which Kallua slightly narrows his eyes in reply for he is still someone whom slightly gentle at girls, even his fangirls. Killua feels complicated, at first Kallua is fine with having Bisky around and now he slightly glares at her?

Gon decided to break the tension "Bisky, why are you here?"

Bisky told them that she is after Blue Planet, restricted card number 81. Jewel that is only found in Greed island. When she asked their reason for playing the game, Gon answer that her reason is to clear the game as her father made the game. When Bisky learns the name, she is surprised for Ging is famous and even Netero acknowledge him as top five Nen users. Hearing that made Gon determined.

"Bisky, if you are willing to put your treasure hunt on hold, will you teach us more about Nen?" Gon asked which Bisky smiles for seeing how determined she is along with Killua finally agrees. Bisky looks at Kallua "You don't mind if I take your teacher role, right?"

Kallua slightly nodded before look away, he did know he is on right track as his parents will be stronger under Bisky's guidance and Bisky is right that he keeps protecting them and not making them stronger, Gon mistook the look Kallua has and hugs Kallua which earn shock look from both Kallua and Killua.

"Sorry Kallua, you are still our teacher of course, right?" Gon said as she turns to look at Killua for agreement. Killua just lightly scratch his cheek before lets his other hand pets Gon.

"No worries, I'm fine" Kallua said as he continue the pats "You two will be stronger for sure"

The cough the intruder lets out makes their focus on him. Bisky demands him to open his binder and takes out his cards which he agrees. She then decided to give him a second chance, asking him to evade their attacks for two weeks! She will lets him escape if he is successful but if he is knocked out or unconscious then she will kill him. Hearing that made the intruder clarification for he only need for evading and he is allowed to do whatever and it doesn't matter.

When Bisky agrees at that , Kallua sharply turns at Bisky at that, even glares which both Killua and Gon look in shock. Still, Bisky continues that the same rule also apply to the two which made Kallua's glare darken. If they leave or fail to defeat the intruder in two weeks, they will be punished.

For extra information, Biscuit tells the intruder is Bounty hunter, Binolt. Saying theres a bounty with him being a brutal murderer so that the two will take it seriously with their lives on the line.

Before they goes for the fight, Killua and Gon tries to calm Kallua for allowing them to fight. Kallua notices that Binolt is injured, yet that stills didn't make him less threatening for his parents. Bisky took it upon herself to drag Kallua and watch him so he won't interfere.

"You..how long do you plan to keep on spoiling them!?" Bisky mutters which Kallua hears but didn't say a thing "You know if you keep on being like this, you will squander most of their potential, right?"

Silence still engulf them even until they are now on top of the crater to watch the fight as the sun rise. Binolt goes to sit down as the two circling him. Biscuit instantly yells that Binolt is trying to heal his injury and will they allow him to do so!? In response of that, Killua took it upon himself to get closer, causing Kallua to widen his eyes as Binolt moves his scissors, injuring Killua. If Binolt is not injured, Killua would have lost one of his eyes.

Gritting his teeth, Kallua keep trying to toughen himself not to interfere but found it to be hard. Especially Bisky still keeps an eye on him and the fight. He could see Gon also try to get close but found it hard to do so.

"I can't watch this" Kallua mumbles and turns away, it reminds him when Gon fight Hisoka in Hunter Exam, knowing something worse might happen if he didn't interfere back then. If it's like that, should he interfere now despite Bisky watching him?"

"You are losing hope too soon" Bisky said, despite her eyes glued to the fight, she could still monitor Kallua's moves " Were you truly have such little faith on them?"

"No, it's just-"

"YAH!"

Bisky looks impressed at Gon's Nen in destroying the rocks, that made Kallua look back at the fight, in time to see Gon taking out rock as shield and charge at Binolt.

"Correct" Bisky said, "you two can't beat him in drawn-out fight"

Once the two starts using the rocks, Kallua now look more comfortable watching as the two keeps charging at Binolt even when its already sunsets which makes him have no time to heal himself. Biscuit notices that its impressive for being able to make Binolt uncomfortable in half a day with the two are aware of their lives are on line. Once she thought of that, Bisky have a grin, seeing the two as raw gems.

The girl has such rock-hard conviction in her eyes that hidden, bottomless potential. If properly cut through training, she can be completely transformed.. she is like a diamond!

The boy is calm, collected blue. He may look fragile but with the right amount of heat, he can achieve semi-permanent strength..like a sapphire!

Bisky eyes start to shine as she thought whenever something waiting to be polished, her hearts starts to skip. She is now determined to train them well.

She knows Kallua is not a raw gem as he already being polish for being strong. As she thought of that, she felt such aura and she turns to see Kallua watch the match now with determined looks as his aura even shows it, unlike before.

"My..." Bisky whispers as now she sees it.

This boy, has such two side, right and left that are constantly tries to balance each other. Having high temperature in the start but able to be changed with low and high heat! Depends on that, he will be able transform without limitation! Without a doubt, he is Amethyst!

`He is a gem that is capable to be changed into more different state. What a rarest find!' Bisky's grin goes wider `If he manages to show his natural color, it will be time for the temperature to deal with it next but now is not yet the time'

The fight continues with the rocks thrown out all over creating forest of rock, capable of concealing their presence while impending the enemy. It really looks like both Killua and Gon will be able to win in one day instead of two weeks. It proven right as Killua able to corner Binolt but Gon stops him which made him question his girlfriend.

"We still have plenty of time. Let's continue until we're both able to take him alone. Stopping now would be a waste as we are on a roll" At those words, Gon's aura flared out which made Killua agrees that they should do so. Binolt on the other hand, chuckling that he will slice them as they gave him opportunity and Kallua knows, his parents truly have getting more mature to the point Binolt won't be able to threaten them anymore.

`They could have stopped but chose not to in order to keep on improving' Kallua thought as he grits his teeth, every thought that he knows yet cast aside, are now multiplying, threatening to burst out yet he holds it in, stood up causing Bisky to looks at him with concern for Kallua has such threatening looks.

"What are you up to?" Bisky asks in cutesy frightful tone but Kallua merely turns away, from her and his parents resting.

"Something" Kallua said shortly before walks away "A fight I have to face by myself. I'll be back after they finished"

With that, he made his way away with Bisky nodded as she stares at Kallua's back that keeps getting smaller and smaller.

"I see, he is now on his way to show his natural color now"

"This should be far enough" Kallua whispers as he is now alone, all by himself. Even Karuze is not around as he is still in Yorknew City. He looks around and find himself surrounded by stone pillars in different sizes. He walks towards the biggest around, with a loud roar, his Nen bursting out as he punch the pillar, shattering it instantly.

"Damn it..." Kallua mutters before he roars once more "DAMN IT!"

He roars loudly again, scaring all the greed island creatures nearby. It was monstrous, for him to lose control despite he is not in his bloodlust mode. All he does is keep destroying all the stone pillars around with loud monstrous roar.

`You..how long do you plan on spoiling them!?'

Kallua keeps roaring and destroying, as those words keep replaying in his head.

`You know if you keep on being like this, you will squander most of their potential, right?'

"I KNOW!"

`You know we are capable to earn our own money, right?'

"I KNOW!"

`One day, I will free you'

"STOP THAT!"

`You know us but at the same time you dont'

"ENOUGH!"

The last stone pillar nearby has already been destroyed. Kallua could only look around, to see all of the destruction he made before let himself collapse with cloud of dust forms around him.

"What...what should I do then?"

Tears are now threatening to fall which made him unable to believe himself for he never shed tears for 9 years. He keeps ransacking his memories, the moment when he was still a normal child, he remembers the first sacrifice he made.

"I will be the heir so let both of my parents go"

He took it upon himself to become assassins, so that his parents could be together without the Zaoldyeck's interfering. He keeps making sacrifices, everything of his family. Big or small, it doesn't matter.

"Kallua-Nii, I want strawberry shortcake"

Despite Kallua wants it as well, he lets Killia have it. He is the older brother after all. Even when he receives better cake than his sister, he would swap it so his sister can enjoys it.

"Kallua, make sure that you put family above everything else"

He knows that, he even does that, which is why everything he sacrifices are always for his family. He is an heir and eldest brother, someone who should supports his family when his parents are away. Family has always been his top priority no matter what. Even if that means to give up on his life.

He shouldn't be selfish and do something for his own sake. He should be keep protecting his family because he is the only one can do so, for their sake, for their own well being.

"They needs me to make those sacrifices. They can't do it without me"

Kallua always tell himself that. His parents and his siblings, they need him so he would keep them safe. That is why, he keeps spoiling his parents in this timeline because they are far far more weaker than the future timeline. That's why he reveal himself towards his grandfather Silva so they won't target his father. That is why he make those promise with his grandfather, thats why he sacrifice himself to protects his parents from the spiders!

"But was all of those...truly unnecessary?"

He starts to doubt every action he took when he earns money, none of them needs it as they find another way. He got lecture from both his parents are worried when he becomes sacrifice to the spiders and now...they are going to be stronger without his protection. Maybe if he isn't arrives in the past, his parents are also capable to be way more stronger without him meddling. He probably already make choices that made his parents didn't get stronger when they are supposed to.

"Ha..." Tears are now falling freely from his eyes " I know... I know that I didn't have faith in them. Even though I see that, they will get stronger and stronger. But right now... they can't even win against me"

He lets out a bitter chuckle " I'm the one, who is going to destroy those... because I like it... when they depend on me. It shows that they really can't do anything without me" His bitter chuckle turns into disappointing laugh "How stupid, I should have known that, both of my parents are strong and as always... I will have to chase their backs as they moves further and further away"

It was true, both of his parents keep leaving him for him to chase them. He felt like stranger with his parents, for with his siblings, his parents are lowering their guard but with him? Its like they build up a wall for him.

"Being needed feels good? Its not like that..." Kallua grip his teeth as he grabs the collar of his undershirts "No.. I know the truth that it's wrong. All I want... All I want was..."

Slowly he sat up as he looks at the sky with empty gaze.

"All I want was my parents to give me affection, and for me to be with them. Being equal with them, so I won't keep chasing them. I just want...being close with my family, I'm...lonely"

He buries his face on his knees as he finally realizes his most selfish wish. He didn't want to talk with his parents as if they are talking about business. He didn't want when they are going out together, it was for mission. He just want...to spend time together nicely, just like what his past parents do for him.

"Sorry.. Papa, Mama" Kallua starts to let himself stood up as his eyes now darkening without a hope "I guess I shouldn't have hoped that. This is ridiculous..."

He knows he will have to say goodbye at some point with his past parents, and will return to his own timeline, where his parents have high expectation for him to keep doing what he can, all to protect his siblings and parents from any harm. As an heir, elder brother and eldest son, that is the role he is granted and have to fulfill.

"Yeah...I should have keep doing that" Kallua mumbles darkly "I have to be getting stronger for that too, so I could be a great heir"

"I shouldn't get any more attached with my past parents...nothing good will comes out"

Two weeks passed with Killua and Gon capable of defeating Binolt over and over again. As they said their goodbye with Binolt, both Killua and Gon are now worried about Kallua as he hasn't shown himself yet.

Bisky commends on the two for clearing her trial in these two weeks as she points her finger "Well, let's go to Masadora"

Despite Kallua's absence, both Killua and Gon agrees before then notices Bisky's finger.

"Number nine" The two shouted in unison but Bisky knows they are way too slow and asks them to give three thousands push up then saying after they are done, they will go to Masadora about seventy kilometers and three hours trip which brought unbelievable whine from them.

"I see that the two of you are clearing the trial"

When they finish their push ups, they turn and smiles, recognizing Kallua's voice. Indeed Kallua is there with dirt all over him. Both Killua and Gon instantly tackles him in a hug with huge smiles, it surprises them when Kallua didn't return the hug .

"Eh? Kallua, you seem different"

That is the first thing Gon said after seeing Kallua again, hearing that made Killua looks at Kallua and widen his eyes, seeing Kallua, looks like a doll having emotionless eyes that reflects nothing.

"What happened? What's wrong? This doesn't look like the usual you" Killua questions rapidly, feeling something heavy when he look at his best friend. Even Gon could sense it too.

"Is that so?" Kallua just gives an empty look "I'm fine, its nothing to be worried about"

Bisky looks at Kallua with disapproval. She thought Kallua will finally shown his natural color but...no, he looks like he is now lost with nothing could guide him. In any case, there is nothing they could do.

"Alright you three" Bisky said suddenly "We are now going to Masadora so lets pick up the pace"

The three nodded and follows Bisky's lead to Masadora. They arrives at morning, going to the department store with Bisky shopping from the money she earns from Binolt while they are asking for Spell card location. Once Bisky finish shopping, she commands the three to returns once more to rocky area in two and half hours, earning shock looks from both Killua and Gon while Kallua merely shrugs as its nothing for him.

They are now back once more to the rocky area, as the two are breathless. Bisky used `Gain' on the cards she bought, showing that its two shovels, a cart construction, two flashlights for the two of them.

"We'll head back to Masadora again" That earns more unbelievable look from both and Killua huffs in anger before Bisky continued "But this time we are going straight"

"Uh, straight line?" Killua seems questioning Bisky's sanity at the same time he is asking the question " you can't mean..."

"Yep" Bisky shows them her biggest smile "It's time to dig"

"Hn.." was all Kallua said, causing the two to worries him more but they have to focus on their training so they just go for their digging as Bisky just shook her head when she stares at Kallua.

The two starts to dig one stone pillar, thinking they might be able to do it smoothly as the rock is not that hard but found it difficult after a while, seeing the rocks getting harden and they need to balance the cart with all of their body so the contents won't spill. In the meantime, Bisky sees Kallua meditating, she looks at Kallua worryingly as there might be a chance for he plans something sinister because of the sudden change. Seeing the aura he lets out, it was sinister all right.

Once the two goes through, Bisky even prepares the training they have to do when they are resting, sleeping in sitting position with rock above their heads and a rope so they would be alert. Kallua had that training and Killua is too so Gon would be the one whom definitely getting hit. Bisky even added that she might cut the rope at some times so be alert.

Few minutes later, Gon gets hit by the rock the moment she dozed off and lets go of the rope causing her the next day having bumps all over with lack of sleep even Killua grew worried seeing his girlfriend state but he is shocked that Kallua merely prepares the food along with Bisky for them and didn't comment nor having any interest.

`Kallua..are you really alright? What is wrong with you?' Killua thought in disdain as he felt like he saw himself as puppet of darkness.

"Gon's rock will be twice the size" Bisky said when its time for their rest once more. Killua starts to calls out her name in worrying tone but Gon said she is fine.

"ITTE!"

Nope, she is not fine at all.

The next day, Bisky is pleased that the two are finally discover the new application of Ten, Shu. Even Kallua notices but knows this technique is taking more stamina than the usual Ten so they might lose their stamina soon as they are getting cocky in keep using it and once more, Kallua is right as he could hear they are now breathless and having a hard time to control their aura..

"This training will raise all of their attributes of physics, mental strength, aura controls and when to save and using it" Bisky nodded as she watch their progress "When they are arrives at Masadora, the first stage will be completed"

Bisky then let her gaze landed on Kallua `at least he is not an enemy, for now. But he will be hard to get rid of if he proven to be one'

Both Gon and Killua has finally went through the stone pillar in five kilometers. They calculated that in the next few days, they would be arrives at Masadora. When its time to rest, Bisky sees that Gon indeed is used to sleep being alert, when she throws the knife to cut the rope, Gon in alerts immediately, dodging the rocks, earning pleased looks from Bisky. Meanwhile Kallua also get signal from Bisky to cut the rope Killua has, which he do so. When he sees Killua easily dodge it, he just gives another silent stare and turns away causing Killua to do the same but with dejected look.

At least Bisky notices that Kallua could help her with training the two, though it is evident that the two are really worried about him but he always brushes them off like it was nothing.

In any case, the two finally manages to get through and arrives at Masadora. Once the two celebrates, Bisky crush it.

"Okay, let's go back to the starting area" Bisky said, causing the other two to jaw drops while Kallua just stare silently.

Nevertheless, its time for them to go back again, begrudgingly.

"Next, it's time for the two of you to get monster card. Try to get every single type of creature around , you two shouldn't have any difficulty to defeats them but you two need the ability to strategize. The two of us wouldn't say anything so devise everything all on your own to defeat the monster"

Kallua helps that in using Gain to all the monster creature card he caught back then beside Bubble Horse. The two had some difficulty at first but found it easier by some time passes. Both Bisky and Kallua take turns to collect some monsters around and within one month, they finally able to defeat every single one, including Bubble Horse.

`When it comes to analysis and physical strength, Killua is stronger but Gon makes up of that with her concentration and recovery speed. They make a perfect team' Bisky thought before letting them learn the next as in work on their defense.

When Bisky shows her technique, Gon recognizes that as it is the one she used to pass the exam. Bisky calls it Ko, as it gives far greater power than regular one. To defeat Ko, they must use Ko in entire body with involves Ten and Ren as Ken. Biscuit decides to use the Ko with Gon and Kallua uses the Ko with Killua. Both Killua and Gon starts to use their Ren while Kallua and Bisky starts off with Ko in same time and slow motion in same time letting both of their guard down and thrown off the same time.

"You two shouldn't have let both of your guard down just because it's slow" Biscuit shows his Ko "if you two didn't stop guarding, you guys will be smashed. Once more you two, keep using Ken and withstand our attack"

The two nodded and goes in position of holding their Ken but found it difficult as almost two minutes is the highest limit to hold their Ken.

"You need to hold it for at least thirty minutes, or you wont last in a fight" Bisky said which makes the two grunt as that will be hard. As the two about to go back on their digging routine, another presence surprises them.

"Yo, you two are training well?"

"Karuze?" Gon called in surprise with Bisky not knowing the stranger. Killua sure is surprised to see Karuze comes to Greed Island. Gon introduced Karuze to Bisky whom nodded to see some similarities with Kallua, though her eyes sparkles at Karuze's eyes. Seeing them in different color made her think of gem stone.

"Why are you here?" Killua question Karuze but he merely points at Kallua.

"I called him. When you two are doing the digging routine, it's my turn to train with Karuze. When you two are training, us two will help" Kallua said before having a cold look "That is all"

Seeing Kallua's cold looks made both Killua and Gon nervous. When both Kallua and Karuze are leaving, Killua can't help but notice Kallua seems getting colder.

"Did something happens with him? He seems more cold and uncaring" Killua said but Bisky merely shook his head.

"Indeed, he looks more lost and lost as time goes by" Bisky nodded as she agrees with what Killua just said.

Gon also looks at Kallua in concern "Will Karuze helps Kallua to return back to normal?"

Bisky shrugs at that "No idea, but still, lets hope that will be the case. All you two can do is now continue the training"

"Osu" Both Killua and Gon said before they are now off with their training.

It has been a routine where at times Kallua is helping when Karuze off trains then Karuze helps while Kallua is training and surprise, Kallua is still cold and lost for even Karuze is also unable to help. Still, in one month, the two has finally capable of holding out their Ken for thirty minutes. Afterwards, its finally combat training where the two are now sparring with using Ken then Gyo to make rest of body protected such as 70 POW fist then rest of body 30 POW, called Ryu.

Both Karuze and Kallua also training with Ryu so they spars together with Killua and Gon. Though seeing their speed at first makes them wants to catch up quickly but Bisky instantly intercepts. At times Killua spar with either Karuze or Kallua along with Gon for more experience. Two weeks passed and both Killua and Gon are capable to full fight with Ryu together and starts the final stage. Training with enhancer category of using a stone to smash thousand rocks. While they are training, thats the sign for both Kallua and Karuze went off for their own training.

Once Bisky starts to points up again, the two calls out the number, earning a draw. Fed up with a draw all the time, the two starts to do rock- paper- scissors and the loser will do thousand push up. Bisky whom witness it , sweatdropped at their childish antics. Gon wins and Killua starts the push up, Bisky brought up the topic of rock-paper-scissors are actually martial arts at first with paper as palm attack that wrecks the opponents organs, scissors represents a finger jab, targeting vital points and rock represents a punch with the fist to deal external damage.

"Long ago when martial arts are mistaken as evil arts and banned, martial artist trained by playing this game, that's how rock-paper-scissors came to be" Bisky explains which Killua nodded "Huh, that's why you really are old"

Killua is sent flying with that comment.

"Oh, wasn't that Killua?" Karuze said as he looks at the sky with Kallua "Hn" was all Kallua said before continues his own training regime.

Gon meanwhile seems to be taken in interest after hearing about rock-paper-scissors origin from Bisky. Now, she had an inspirations about her special attack.

In a secret base, where people whom are inviting Killua, Kallua and Gon back then are now having celebration for they have total 133 cards from 90 of the 100 total restricted slot cards. With the remaining 10 cards, they have located 7 and declare they are as good as theirs despite Tsezgerra's group has also obtained the same equal numbers of restricted slot cards as they may be having final hurdle in fighting against them but they are having more and better spell cards. As they celebrate having their victory near, one of the member Gesuru ask to speak and take the stand.

"Five years, it's been so long and yet so short. I have something to tell you guys, I'm a bomber"

The group members look at him in disbelief especially when he tells them that he has plant bomb all over them along with having Little Flower ability for capable of create explosions though it wasn't strong. He was then starts to telling them his ability, how it works and how to disarm them. Once he finish telling them, his ability countdown started as it was the condition for arming the bomb and he waits for his chance when they finish collect enough cards.

As the members thought of capture Gesuru and fights back, he starts to tell them that the countdown is linked to their heartbeat. With that moment, Gesuru use Leave to escape leaving the members in panics. Now they are face in two choices, to hand over the cards or to fight?

Gon goes to punch the stone pillar in front of her, shattering it which made both Kallua (Karuze is back inside Kallua) and Killua look in amazement before she goes for the next.

"First comes rock, Rock..Paper..Paper!"

Gon stood still with her thrust her palm but nothing happens. It was then she turns to Bisky.

"Bisky, how do I make my Nen fly?"

"Ugh" Killua slightly dropped down with Kallua lets out a small sigh while Bisky yells "Trains more"

"So paper is Emitter mode?" Killua asked with Kallua turn his hand in scissor "So scissor is Transmuter"

Gon nodded "Yeah, I think it would be cool to cut through a rock, or a mountain"

"Mountain sounds like such a tough hurdle" Kallua said still with cold tone as if to disapprove that with Bisky agrees it was a reasonably fighting technique while thinking that its also such a childish idea. Nevertheless Gon is happy with the technique she comes up which Bisky nodded that if she is happy then it will be suit her.

Killua starts to cough, making him getting attention from the three. Killua starts to lets out electricity, which makes Gon amaze, Kallua stares with Bisky gasp lightly.

"Amazing Killua, you look like an electric eel" Gon said as she comes closer at Killua whom grumbles "That is a terrible comparison"

Bisky thought as she looks at Kallua, how frightening and tragic he is for capable to turn his aura into electricity for such a young age. His childhood must have been a living hell and how its a miracle he even able to smile now. She understands that the two of them are indeed a perfect couple and balance each other well.

In any case, Bisky realizes the triangle love is no more with Kallua acts now. It might be possible for Kallua to leave both Gon and Killua, that is truly having the highest probability in his calculations.

"Alright, let's take a break. It's a little early but we can have a party" Bisky said as Killua questions it "So how you three celebrates?" Bisky continues which now makes Gon confused. Bisky grins at that as she states the flow of time of the game and real life are the same and its almost new year.

Hearing that made Gon remembers about the deadline of applying Hunter Exam are getting closer. Kallua remembers, it will be close for a year for him to stay in the past. Killua feels slightly annoyed that he has to apply hunter exam when the training is getting fun and a plus of not wanting to leave Gon then also worried about Kallua. Still, they need to go to Masadora first for acquiring information on how to leave the Greed Island.

They paid 3000 Jenny for the information, the first method is going fifty kilometres of the West and they will find the island only port. They need to defeat the Chief or bribe him to receive a ticket to transport them outside with the bribe is depends on his mood. The other one would be using the Leave card but it is rare. Of course the method they will chose is...

Killua proudly shows the card that turns into his ticket to go to the real world. When they about to send Killua off with Gon telling him about the Kiriko as her friends, Kallua takes out his card, Leave card which makes them surprised.

"Sorry, but I'll be using this card. I'm leaving Gon in your hands, Bisky" Kallua said, with slightly cold tone that surprised them for Kallua is not speaking in usual cold one before he looks at Killua "I have something to talk to Killua, I didn't do so because you two are busy with training and I thought this might be a perfect chance" Stealing a glance at Killua, he continued "That is fine, right?"

Killua instantly smiles and nodded, seeing this might be his chance to pull Kallua out of darkness.

"Alright, we will meet near the Dolle Harbor. Is that fine?" Killua asked and Kallua nodded. When they said their goodbyes, Kallua uses his card leaving both Gon and Bisky to trains so Gon will be able to master her special attacks.

Killua arrives and sees that Kallua is already waiting for him. He always surprised at how efficient Kallua is, despite his current circumstances

"Lets submit your application first, then we will heads out on the Cedar Tree" Kallua said quickly and Killua nodded before noticing their state "Maybe we should have a shower and change of clothes first"

The two agrees as they look to buy clothes then looks for nearby Inn to shower.

"Fwaahh, its been a while since our last shower, I'm refreshed" Killua said as he dries his hair, followed by a nod from Kallua whom also dries his hair as he sat on the bed.

Looking at Kallua current state made Killua can't bear it as he let himself sit next to him.

"Okay, be honest with me" Killua said lightly before looking at Kallua with sharp gaze "What happened to you?"

Kallua only stares at Killua with empty gaze that he loathed before Kallua spoke with flat tone "Just...something"

That definitely didn't answer his question, Killua could feel vein popping at the side of his head as he tries to process on what happened and everything.

"I squandered both of your potential" Killua's ears perks up at that, hearing Kallua's tone of voice that he picks up, sounds truly sad "I didn't trust you two, I didn't even have enough faith with you two"

"What do you mean?" Killua pries more and Kallua merely grip his left arm before continues "You two shouldn't have me around, all I did is just meddling in.

"You..." Killua starts to massage his aching temples "really do that" Killua huffed "You meddle so many times that I even lost count"

Kallua slightly avert his gaze away from Killua, he was right. Of course he would be, he rarely ever gets wrong. He knows that, maybe he should have prepared to goes into separate ways with them.

"But I love that"

Kallua slightly widen his eyes, not believing what he just heard. He felt Killua's hands are now on both of his cheeks, forcing him to gaze at Killua whom gives him a small smile.

"Nothings wrong with you meddling isn't it? You came to my life and became part of it as my best friend. You made me together with Gon, you made me aware of things I didn't even aware before. And it was all happening because thanks of you meddling. Besides, wasn't that what friends did? You are meddling because you care about us, right?"

Hearing what Killua just said only made him speechless, he tries to hold his emotions as he knows he shouldn't feel, just like what Illumi-Sensei told him.

"I.. didn't have much faith with you two. I even spoils you two to the point both of you are not aware of danger" Kallua said slowly which this time Killua nodded.

"Yeah, but if it's like that. Me and Gon just have to show you right?" Killua narrowed his eyes with a smile "You never squander our potential, it was us whom didn't use it"

"But.." Killua gives a sharp glare that surprises Kallua "There is something else, isn't it? Somehow it involves us but somehow its also not"

Kallua didn't expect Killua could read him this far, but Killua merely gives a smile as if knowing what Kallua about to say.

"We are similar" Killua stated "Gon even realizes it, I even slowly recognizes it. You as well right?"

Unable to say anything else, Kallua gives a nod to affirm which made Killua laugh in glee that surprises him.

"I'm glad" Killua said "It's like we are connected and having really close bond together"

Kallua blinks after hearing that, if he is similar with his father in past, what about the future? Are they also similar to the point they already have a close bond at the start? If its true, it does makes him happy, he only spends a year with his past father but 12 years with his future father, does that could means more?

"Killua?" Kallua softly calls out which please Killua as his tone is not cold "Hmm?"

"Do you trust me?" Kallua said which this time caught Killua off guard but found himself nodded.

"I want answer, but not from the current you" Kallua said as he takes his mini dart out of his watch "I want your free controlled answer"

"Wha?"Killua looks confused as he sees the dart, instantly remembers that Kallua is Manipulator and made him remember Illumi, but free controlled? Why when it looks like he is going to control him!?

Killua blinks when he sees Kallua's eyes, this time they held light unlike before. Killua instantly narrowed his eyes and nodded, seeing he has to fight to show how much he trusted his best friend.

"Of course" Killua nodded "Do your worse, I'll take it"

"I will" Kallua narrowed his eyes as he aims his mini dart at Killua's forehead "We'll see"

The mini dart is thrown inside his forehead with Killua not feeling the pain, he blinks before then felt a piercing pain causing him to shut his eyes. Once he opens his eyes, he sees a different place, vast clearing.

"Illusion? Seems that way. Why did Kallua create this for me?" Killua mumbles before he looks around, surprised that Kallua had this ability.

"Wha-" Killua widen his eyes, sensing a presence that didn't bother to erase it. Killua starts to sweats as he sees, shadowy monster with sinister aura. He thought of running away as he turns away, he can't beat that!

"KILLUA!"

Hearing the familiar voice made hims snap "Gon!?" Killua notices Gon is trapped in a cage behind that monster. Gon is there, he can't leave her!

`Run'

He widen his eyes, he can't believe he could hear Illumi's voice. Telling him to run.

"Killua! Help!"

"GON!"

`If you aren't certain to win, run'

"Illusion...this is-UWAKH!"

Killua felt the attack of the monster, he thought this is illusion but he could still feel the pain. If he died, will he died as well in real life!?

"I can't...I can't run but.."

The monster keep attacking him without any mercy but he could still take the pain. This is truly the worst, Illumi telling him to run but Gon is there, he should protect her! he can't abandon her! The thought of abandoning her made him having tears fall, he can't do that!

Like hell I will run away, dammit!

Killua gripped his head as he found his resolve "Gon...Gon is... my precious GIRLFRIEND!"

Get out of my mind! Bastard ILLUMI!

"AAARRRGGHHHHHH!"

He jabbed his fingers as hard as he could inside and finally could feel, he is now free as he could take away and see the needle on the palm of his hand with few drop of blood comes out, he is now liberated. He never thought Illumi actually planted this needle all along inside his head. With a smirk, he sees the shadow monster, as he turn his hand to claw, he dash and slice its head off instantly.

Bright lights starts to shone which made him shut his eyes once more.

"Welcome back, Killua"

"Wha-" Killua opens his eyes the moment he heard Kallua's soft voice. He sees Kallua lets out a small pleased smile which he returns before , looking at his hand to see a needle he sees in illusion. He could feel throbbing pain from his forehead and when he did checking himself, he suffers the same injuries like in the illusion.

"That must be hard, I'm sorry" Kallua said as he let his hand hovers around his forehead injury, but without pain and blood, he took out his own dart which surprises Killua. He knows he has seen that similar technique, just like his father did when he take the victim's heart but without a single drop of blood.

"Let me fix your injuries, at least that is what I can do" Kallua said as he already prepares his Nen which Killua nodded and let him do so. "After this, take another shower too"

Killua just realizes, he gets dirt all over because of that monster attacks and have to take another shower. Once he is now healed, he goes for another shower while Kallua looks at Killua in small smile.

`They truly have grown up, now I can leave them with no regrets' Kallua thought as he looks at his mini dart `I took quite a gamble for using my illusion against Illumi-sensei's needle. I'm glad it's a success'

Kallua's another Nen ability, Mind Dream which allows him to plant his mini dart then imagine what kinds of illusion to give to the one he uses on his dart. He could only use this to three person at most. The illusion felt so real that the injury or something it suffers would even still be intact even when they snaps out of the illusion. It may even cause trauma if used well.

Once Killua finish showers, he once again sees the needle. Now he put the pieces together, Kallua has been trying to free him by adding his own control for forcefully effects, but luckily it did work out in the end.

"So, does this mean I truly prove that I trust you?" Killua lets out a grin and Kallua returns it with his own which made his grin wider as he sees Kallua is starting to become the usual Kallua. He is once more sit next to Kallua, grin still not leaving his face.

"Yeah, you really showed me" Kallua said before lets out a sigh which made Killua raise his eyebrow at that strange antics "Sorry, I'm just- not sure how should I approach this next"

"Idiot" Killua muttered before landing a hit on Kallua's head "You already did so much to the point you should not holding back, just say it all out"

Kallua slightly rub his head, though not from pain as he barely felt it. He maybe really just said it, he did indeed done so much to his poor father.

"You did fight for Gon's sake right? I know that, which is why I put her in the illusion" Kallua said in serious tone which made Killua tense "I know you are willing to sacrifice everything to protect her"

Killua nodded at that, as he really is prepared to protect his precious girlfriend, his first girlfriend he would absolutely cherish in all of his life. She is his light who shows him out of darkness, someone whom he enjoys together with forever. Thanks to Kallua, he also won't run away if he and Gon encounter strong enemy, he would fight back.

"I know that feelings as well" Kalua said, remembering the source of him closing up his heart towards his past parents "I have always been told to keep my family as highest priority, I sacrifice everything I can in order to keep them safe. I can't involve my own selfishness as well, since I may involve them in something dangerous"

Kallua looks at Killua with tense atmosphere "You also do the same with Gon, so you understand right? Still, even when I did so, do you think what I did is necessary? I felt like, even I call it sacrifice, it may look like meddling. Thinking that, I felt useless.."

Killua gives Kallua a long stare, seeing Kallua opens up at him. He do understand as he too will sacrifice everything. Yet, he knows that- they are different. He did hear some about Kallua's family circumstances so he felt he could understand but still they are different and he knows for sure.

"I know how much you think about your family ever since I heard it from Karuze. I know you even not blaming them, and you even fine with that" Killua gives a stare "You did sacrifice a lot, just like what you did with us"

Killua starts to reminisce "Remember when you come visit me all by yourself to my place? When you made me and Gon together? When you insist on fighting your cousin for Gon's sake? Then you took it upon yourself to save us? When you let yourself captured?" Killua lets out small smile "You have made so many sacrifices for us as well, just like you did for your family. You are not being useless, you may blame it for protecting us to the point you squander our potential or even not trusting us for being able to clear those hurdles. Honestly, I understand your feelings for doing that"

Kallua knows that Killua definitely understands but he could see the hesitant in Killua which he realizes Killua did understand but found something different. Killua could also tell that Kallua realizes it.

"Remember when me and Gon are captured and held in a room with that samurai guy?" Killua asked and Kallua nodded at that as he continued "I actually volunteer to stop enemy attacks even if it kills me. But Gon didn't want that, she hit my head and calls me selfish when she is allowed to risk her life but I couldn't. Weird logic, right?"

Kallua agrees, that really is like a paradox. Certainly weird and unreasonable.

"I know that won't be the last time, honestly, I don't even know if my sacrifice will make her happy or she may thought its unnecessary" Kallua nodded, as that is what he felt "Still, no matter what the outcome, all I could think was to stand by her side no matter what.

That seems to wake Kallua hard as he looks at Killua whom took it as signal to continue " The more you think of how important that someone is, the more you want to meddle. At times we laugh, at times we also being hurt and share sadness but the most important things are we stay together, side by side and I will fight for it"

Kallua grit his teeth, completely forgotten that he should have done that. He thought about his own wish back then, he stated that he was lonely and wanting his parents to give him affection but he didn't ever fight and tries to go to their side. He is only waiting, not bother to come to them.

Suddenly, he realizes a warmth enveloping him, he sees Killua is pulling him closer in his embrace, slightly petting his head.

"Thank you, for all you did for us. But, I want you to tell us next time that we should fight together, doing what you are going to do together. We'll share everything together, alright?"

Soft sniffles are heard, with tears fall. Kallua never thought he would cry in his father's embrace. Killua responds with hugging Kallua tighter, this is the first he seen how defenseless Kallua is right now, how he looks like a little kid needs affection.

"You are fine the way you are Kallua, remember that"
