When they arrived in front of the building, the car stopped and the people around could see a man and a woman stepping out the limo.
It was a very nice couple; he was blonde, tall and muscular, while she had fierce red hair, green eyes and a bright smile.
They gave their invitation to bodyguard at the entrance, and they entered in a elevator.
"Don't tell me your nervous, Soldier" teased Natasha Romanoff, once she verified there wasn't any camera in the elevator.
"No, no... it's just that this isn't particularly my habitat" shrugged Steve Rogers, trying to give her partner a smile.
Natasha sighed while she checked the weapons tightened around her thigh (two guns, three knives and a grenade), then she adjusted her black dress.
"Relax, you are here just for back up. It's not the first time I do this, we'll be back at Shield before you figure out" said Nat smirking. He couldn't be tensed now, he already wasn't the best spy of the world and he was really a terrible liar.
"Yeah" Steve nodded, but Nat could see his concern from miles away. So, when the elevator's door opened, she grabbed his hand, went in the nearest corridor and put him against the wall.
"Natasha, what...?" Started Steve in confusion, but he couldn't finish the sentence cause the redhead, without any warning, cupped his face with her hands and kissed him rudely. Cap could only respond the kiss, and in a matter of seconds Nat's tongue was in his mouth.
Steve thought it seemed like heaven, her hands around his neck, her lips so perfects.
Suddenly Natasha pulled away, a smirk on her face. She rapidly cleaned the lipstick on Steve's lips.
"Nat... what- what was that?" Asked Steve a little breathless.
"I just thought you needed to relax. Consider it a... little incentive for our mission" and with that, she grabbed her arm and they entered in the room.
An hour later Steve was at the minibar, trying to keep his face emotionless, while he watched Natasha laughing for a joke of her target. It was a man in his 50s, with black hair probably tinted and a very ugly beard.
He and Natasha had danced a little while she gave the target some seductive gazes, and in less then ten minutes he had approached her.
Now the two of them were dancing, and Steve grabbed the glass more tightly. He watched as the target's hand slowly lowered, and he had to use all of his will to not stand up and punch the man.
It wasn't a mystery why he was attracted by her, she was really gorgeous tonight. Not that she wasn't every day, of course. She wore a black dress with a deep bump in the front, and a deeper one behind, leaving all her back discovered. The soft tissue of the dress adapted to her like a second skin, accentuating her curves.
If he didn't already know, he would never think that under that dress a such beautiful woman could keep weapons.
He sighed again as he watched them finish the dance and sitting on a sofa on the other side of the room.
Four hours later they were already on the Quinjet, having all the information they needed. Natasha had done a very good job, like always.
When Natasha selected the autopilot, she went sitting beside Steve.
"A penny for your thoughts?" Asked the redhead smiling. "Or you need another incentive?"
"Stop, Nat, please" answered Steve tiredly, not looking at her. Her smile faded.
"Hey, did I do something wrong?" Demanded Natasha putting an hand over his shoulder.
"Yes. Yes, you did! You always smirk, wink and flirt like it's your nature, then you kiss me without any explanation, and I can't stand it anymore cause I really like you, and you act like it's all a joke for...-" Steve's scolding was cutter off by Nat's lips crashing on his.
Earlier that evening he had thought that the kiss she gave him was the most passionate kiss she could give. He was wrong. This kiss had much more passion, and he thought that staying like this forever would have been heaven.
Quickly she moved herself from her sit and she sat on his lap, his hands rapidly went around her waist, pulling her nearest.
Nat's hand ran trough his hair, messing them, but he didn't care. He didn't care of anything in that moment.
After a while, it could have been minutes or hours, they pulled away, both breathless and with swollen lips.
"What was that mean?" Asked Steve carefully, not looking into her eyes. Nat grabbed his cheeks with her hands, and green and blue met, a soft smile on her face.
"It means, that I really like you too, Rogers" said Natasha smiling, and Steve's eyes widened.
"Really?" He asked, and instead of an answer Nat gave him another kiss. This time it was soft and she pulled away quickly.
"Really. And, I would really love to kiss America's lips again, but in ten minutes we're arriving at the Tower, and I would prefer If we not crash. Stark would kill us."
Steve left out a small laugh and watched her while she returned to the pilot seat with a smile on his face.
That night Tony caught Captain America and the Black Widow kissing in the elevator.
