Isabella & Melissa (final patch)

Requested by: Guest D

12-year-old Melissa was sitting in the coffee shop, her steamed almond milk and cookie on the table. She was looking through the Fireside Girls' Handbook.

The glass door to the coffee shop opened and a tall raven-haired young woman entered and approached the younger blond. "I received your message, what do you need help with?"

Melissa looked up from her page in the book. "I'm trying to earn my 'Help Thy Neighbour' patch. I need one in order to receive my Fireside Girl 'Forever Helpful Award'. It's my last requirement and I'm supposed to move up to the Pathfinder program in a few weeks."

Isabella took a seat beside the distraught girl. "Let's think about this for a moment… Have you asked the care home if they need assistance? I know that a few girls read to the residents." Melissa shook her head. "I received my 'Elderly and Disabled Awareness' patch my first year when I went to help them over the holidays."

Isabella blinked. "They didn't sign off on your 'Help Thy Neighbour' at the same time?" She paused in thought for a moment. "I know someone whom you could help. My neighbour has a shop downtown. How about you ask them if you can sweep the floors or dust the shelves." She said and scribbled down the address to 'Flynn-Fletcher Antiques' and handed it over.
