I wake up exhausted as I do most of the time and turn to my alarm clock. It's 6:00 AM and my father though it was a good idea to get me up early so he tampered with my alarm clock(And probably my whole schedule). I get up and put my black, long sleeve shirt on, I put the tie that I'm so famous for on. My tie is a dark blue tie with hints of light blue on it, Patton gave it to me for my Birthday last year. I then put on my pants, black jeans that I got from Virgil. I adjust my clothing to make it all symmetrical. I head out to Virgil's room that my father had prepared. Virgil is my best friend, his dad wasn't the best caretaker so he stays with us most of the time. I once asked him if his dad would get mad at him for never being there, he simply answered "Na, the day he noticed I was gone the world would end.".

I go in Virgil's room to see him sound asleep with a ton of pillows and blankets piled on him. Virgil was always my father's favorite person in this house, I new he liked Virgil better than me from all the times he said "Virgil! How are you my son!" To Virgil completely ignoring me. I didn't mind it though, it's not Virgil's fault I have a shitie dad. I go to the side of Virgil's bed to wake him up. He rises as if he had a thousand year slumber, I don't blame him though. Virgil gets some clothes on as I head downstairs. I see my father reading the newspaper. He's sitting at the island with a cup of black coffee, the only type of coffee he'll admit is coffee. Virgil speeds down the stairs as if we where late to something, he's wearing his black and purple hoodie and one of his black ripped jeans that he no doubt got from hot topic. He looked down at my jeans but says nothing about them. "Hi Mr.Logic. How are you today." Virgil asks abnormally calm. My father looks at Virgil and reply's "I'm good how are you" Virgil then what's for my father to correct himself and say "how are you two" this never comes so Virgil reply's "Good" in a timid voice.

I then break the awkwardness that I know Virgil feels at this moment "Me and Virgil better head to school, we don't want to be late". Virgil looks at me and answers "Y-Ya, first day of school!" He sounds like a mom trying to be 'hip'. We walk out to the bus stop near my house. We get on and are immediately greeted by our respective friend groups. Roman, Patton, and I near the front whilst Virgil, Janus, and Remus sit at the back. I catch Roman making eyes at Virgil, and Virgil doing the same. Patton and I just look at each other in disappointment as they have done this sense 2ed grade. When the bus arrived at school all the students got off. "Roooooooooooo, do you have to goooooooooo" Patton cried as if Roman was leaving forever "Yes Patton, I do. It's only for a month." Roman tried to calm Patton down but it wasn't really working "A whole month!" Patton questioned. Patton and Roman new each other from pre-school so they where very close.

Off in the distance I heard Virgil and his friends talking. "Virgil... no you can't sleep forever" Janus was always very motherly, in both me and Virgil's groups he had earned the name 'Wine Aunt' amongst others. "Please~" "If we're asking for stuff to do can I kill v's dad" Remus always asked this and everyone's answer is always "No" "Why not~" Remus hung his head in disappointment as he did all the other times. I realize I was starting to stare so I quickly turned to Patton and Roman fighting about Roman leaving for this theater camp in the mountains.

The bell rang to signify that it was now about to be first period. We all ran to our respective classes. I saw Remus going into my first class, History. I walked in realizing that Remus had in fact got into honors History. I wasn't that surprised to be honest. Remus sometimes came to my house to help Virgil with is History homework. I looked around the room searching for a seat and low and behold Remus was next to the only open seat in the class. I sat next to him noticing that he was very anxious and didn't want to be here. "Salutations Remus" I greeted whilst I unpacked my things onto the desk. "Oh... do I... LOGAN!!!" He screamed loudly. Remus was often very loud, we all new he couldn't help it. "I didn't know you had History first period!" Remus said, we all new that I had been in honors everything for most of my school life so it had been no surprise that I'd be here. "I didn't know you had History now either." I choose my words carefully, I didn't want Remus to think I thought he was dumb. "So anyway how was your summer!" Remus excitedly asked, "it was fine" I truthfully answered. He looked saddened at my response so I then said "Nothing really happens in my family" he look less sad, now more confused. "Well anywho, looks like class is about to start" I looked at the front (we were at the back) to see the teacher writing notes on the whiteboard.
