Adult Amanda & Aunt Gretchen
Requested by: Robot Wolf 26Z
Eighteen-year-old Amanda was sitting in the coffee shop with her aunt Gretchen. "It's not fair Auntie." The red-haired young woman complained.
Gretchen sat, sipping her tea. She's been warned about Amanda's plan. "Why do you feel it's not fair?" The auburn-haired woman inquired. Amanda rolled her eyes and threw her hands in the air. "Mom and Dad… for one. You and Uncle Ferb…" The girl paused trying to come up with further examples.
Gretchen nodded. "Two completely different sets of circumstances." She replied and Amanda's eyes went wide. "It's still not fair." The younger woman complained.
Gretchen let her niece blow off steam for another five minutes, taking in every reason the girl had that she felt justified her point of view. Gretchen reached out a hand and placed it atop Amanda's own. "Honey." She started, "You're not expecting."
Amanda, horrified, shook her head. "Of course not. Mom would have kittens." Gretchen nodded at this statement, knowing that was the reason Candace and Jeremy married young.
Gretchen didn't let go of Amanda, "You're not going to be separated for a year or longer, are you?" Again, Amanda shook her head. The shorter woman smiled. "Then why is it important for you to get married so young?"
Amanda's jaw dropped. "Because I love him?" Gretchen nodded her understanding. "Why not build on that for the next year or two? That way people won't get the wrong idea."
