"Shit!" Anita shouted as she dropped under a building in Drill Site. She was downed by a grenade and was already hearing the enemy rushing to finish her off.
"Bang, I'm coming," Renee said into her mic as she rushed for her teammate's aid.
"Yeah, I knew you were going to say that. The whole team is going to use me as a trap if you run your ass over here. Where's Path?"
Anita leaned her sore body against a pole and waited for death to approach her.
"Sorry, Friends. I needed more ammo, so I quickly grabbed some from a building nearby." Pathfinder responded in his own mic, sounding cheery as always during a heated battle. "Oh, I'm sorry Bangalore. I did not see you were down. I'm on my way, Friend."
"It's okay, Path. I'm going to help Bang. You make sure the bad guys don't hurt her." Renee replied, grinning. She could hear Anita scoff.
"Exciting!" Pathfinder said.
Renee ran across the dirt of Drill Site, already seeing Wattson barricading the area with her fences, making sure the kill was claimed as Crypto was aiming his sniper right at Renee on the roof of the building Anita was hiding under.
They're aiming right at you.
It's a sniper!
"Shit." Renee sighed as she phased. She could still see the building, hoping she had passed through the fences. The moment she was pulled out of the Void, she was already ready to aim and shoot. Though, she found herself within Wattson's fences and on the side of the building.
"I heard you," Anita said. Renee could hear her grin.
Renee cut the corner of the building, hoping Crypto doesn't know where she was as she found Anita nearly at her doom. Renee quickly revived her as Anita coughed up a bit of blood.
"Tell me why you were even over here?" Renee asked the moment Anita was revived.
"Rushing downed enemies is my specialty," Anita answered as she started to use her medical supplies to completely heal herself.
Renee shook her head as she gently wiped some blood off Anita's forehead. Suddenly, a sniper went off.
"Oh, nice. I have sniped Crypto. Now there is only Wattson and Caustic."
"Shit, Caustic is back up?" Anita sighed, sounding nervous.
"Wattson must have revived him," Renee answered.
Anita stood up and reloaded her guns.
"We can push these sorry asses since they don't have any reveals on us."
"We are not rushing. Caustic is going to kill you the moment you try to push. You can't see through your own smoke, so why are you going to verse someone who can?" Renee asked, laying a hand on Anita's shoulder. Anita glances at her, seeming to not want to listen to what was right.
"Then, what's the plan?"
Traps.
I think there's a trap in the area.
Trap nearby.
"I'm making a portal back to Pathfinder. Caustic already placed his Nox gas." Renee answered and didn't hesitate to take off while starting a portal. She turned the corner she came from and continued running until she was near Wattson's fences, then she phased passed them. It didn't take her long to run the portal into another building on the opposite side of Drill Site as the portal was formed.
"Take it, Bang –"
Renee had turned around, waiting for Anita to appear, but the moment she did face her portal, Anita had stepped out the portal, letting Renee bump into her. They both fell back into the portal, collapsing onto the ground with Renee on top of Anita. They were back on the enemies' side and they both knew the enemy team heard the portal being used.
Suddenly, Crypto's EMP had started up, forcing the girls to hurry to their feet, but they were not going to make it through the portal in time. The EMP stunned them as they heard their body shields take damage. Anita and Renee grunted out their pain as they shuffled for the portal. Renee was nearly there when she felt a hand shove her forward into the portal.
Renee hits the floor of the building of where the portal ended while hearing Anita in pain, guns firing in her mic, and hearing the notification of a teammate being killed.
"Anita!" Renee shouted before getting to her feet.
"Should I kill them, Wraith?" Pathfinder asked in the mic.
"No, I got them," Renee said before stepping back into the portal. She was expecting the enemies to already be waiting for her.
The moment she stepped out her portal, it had closed as she met eyes with the entire team. Renee quickly pulls out all the throwables she had, tossing them onto the ground as she took off around the building. All you could hear was constant explosions, yelling, and fire burning as Renee wiped the entire team.
"Attention, we have our new Kill Leader." The announcer said, echoing around World's Edge.
"Oh, congratulations, friend! You're the new Kill Leader!" Pathfinder exclaimed in the mic as he picked up Anita's banner.
Renee quickly respawned her, watching Anita jump out from the respawn ship. She had landed a few feet from Renee, starting to rub the back of her head.
"You pushed me into the portal," Renee said to Anita.
"I did and you killed the team," Anita responded, stepping up to her, and smiling.
Renee playfully shoved Anita away, but yanked her back, and pulled her into a kiss.
"Don't do that again," Renee said, still gripping at Anita's shirt.
"That's cute," Anita responded as she grabbed Renee's wrist, wickedly smirking at her.
"Team, I've found some really good loot over here!" Pathfinder announced in the mic.
Anita hurries over towards her robotic teammate.
"Don't you dare touch my death box!" She yells.
