Lupo and Bernard were in the living room of the Breckeridges' opulent home. Bernard was slowly walking around the room looking at all of the family photos on the walls. Seated on the champagne colored sofas, Lupo and Sarah Breckeridge were drinking tea and talking about the case.

"We do have a few leads that we're looking into, Mrs. Breckeridge. But in my experience, a killer like this, sometimes they like to taunt and…and antagonize the victim's family. Have you received anything of that nature recently? Calls, text, letters…emails?" Lupo asked her.

Sarah took a deep breath and shook her head, "No, there's been nothing. And I've called Jeff's parents; they haven't received any threats or taunts. I've been trying to figure out why this happened to us and I come up nothing!" She removed a tissue from the silver box on the coffee table and wiped her blue eyes.

Lupo glanced at the floor and met her stare again, "Your husband is a successful real estate developer and a pillar of the community. Sometimes success causes people to become jealous. Before this happened, has he ever received any threats?"

Sarah ran her hand through her honey blonde hair, "Not any that I can think of. You can ask him, he's at his office right now.

Detective Lupo, we really are good people just like the Shaws. Even some of our friends were aghast that we allowed Brie to date Jeff but we didn't care. He was a good kid with a bright future. He also loved Brie…They were lucky, I met Roger in college. It was a really hard time for me but he came into my drama class, into my life; everything got better." The house phone rang; she excused herself to answer it in the kitchen.

Bernard called over Lupo and pointed at the photo, "Look at the patch on the jacket," he held up his phone showing the photo of the toy he bought for cousin's son.

"A creepy crawler…this must be Roger when he was in high school. And that is his father, Warren. He was also a big shot real estate developer. B, look at the building's banner."

He nodded, "We just found two more pieces of the puzzle."

When Sarah returned, the detectives told her that their captain called and needed them at the precinct. She understood and bid them a polite farewell.

Once Lupo and Bernard returned to Major Case they revealed what they had discovered.

Lupo reached into the shoe box, "RATTO, is The Stratton Country Club."

Barek held up the apron and nodded, "SCC."

Bernard shared, "We saw a photo of Roger Breckeridge standing with his father in front of The Stratton. He was also wearing a custom made jacket with a scorpion patch on the arm."

Eames typed on her laptop as she spoke, "Stratton closed down twenty years ago but their bar was called…the Scorpion Room. It has remained vacant since then, and it's owned by the city. And the victims' fathers grew up within its four-block radius."

Barek spoke, "OK, so, maybe our victims or at least one of them worked at the Stratton as a waitress, bartender or a cook?"

Logan reached into Lupo and Bernard's box and pulled out the felt, "This is from a pool table, I knew I recognized it."

Olivia took out the red patch with the gold embroidered leaves and flowers, "This is upholstery from an old but expensive couch that was probably in the country club's lounge."

Lupo asked, "They already gave us the Stratton banner, why would they put in patches from the pool table and the couch?"

Goren closed his eyes and sighed as he realized the truth, "Because the rapes didn't happen at Eden Manor, they occurred at The Stratton on the pool table and the couch in the lounge."

Captain Ross walked into the bullpen, Goren and Eames filled him in. He seemed on board and gave everyone their orders, "All right, Munch and Ma, I want you two to find out everything you can about The Stratton, the Winter Ball from 1983. We also need yearbooks from Carnegie Hill Academy, Pemberton Prep, Liberty Prep and The Appleton School from that exact year. Everyone else, go to The Stratton, CSU will meet you all there. Good work everyone."

The Stratton Country Club was dilapidated, dusty and in shambles. They passed by what used to be the lounge where one sofa remained, a patch was missing from it. Once they entered The Scorpion Room they came across three pool tables, Logan found the one with a jagged bare spot in front of a corner pocket. The detectives broke off into pairs and discovered the rooms where their victims had been raped and murdered. Lupo and Bernard found the room where Jeff had been shot to death. Neither of them was able to find Brie's bracelet.

By the time the detectives returned to Major Case, Munch and Thea were unpacking several boxes.

Munch announced, "We come bearing gifts but please be gentle with the scrapbooks about The Stratton and The Winter Ball."

Thea explained as she put her hands on her hips, "Several local history geeks were really reluctant in loaning them out to us. I gave them my personal promise that their belongings would be returned to them in perfect condition. I know I'm small - but if any of you damage these scrapbooks, I will destroy everything you love!"

Logan flatly said, "I'm shaking in my boots, Kid."

She walked up to him and earnestly said, "I'm serious. Don't screw this up, Logan. These can't be replaced."

With a sweet smile on his mouth, he placed both his hands on her shoulders, "I know; I just like messing with you."

"You're such an ass." She cracked a grin and briefly hugged him before returning to her desk.

Bernard looked at Lupo; neither of them expected the unlikely pair to be close friends. He whispered to Lupo, "We're definitely missing something here."

Goren was giddy as he removed yearbooks from the box on his desk.

Elliot noticed and had to comment, "So, you're actually excited about looking through old dusty yearbooks?"

Olivia shot him a stern look, "El…"

He gave her an innocent and slightly confused stare.

Eames explained for her partner, "He's a bookworm and he loves looking through photo albums; yearbooks are a combination of both. He's in nerd heaven right now."

Goren happily nodded and pointed at his partner, "What uh, what she said."

Elliot and Olivia couldn't help but laugh.

A huge smile spread across Logan's mouth when he looked up and saw Officer Cordova escorting Sambath into the bullpen. They were both holding large insulated canvas bags. With his free hand, Officer Cordova was happily munching on a spring roll. Logan got up and gently took one of the bags from Sambath.

"Hey Sambath, it's good to see you," he kissed her cheek as he placed the bag on his desk then gave her a one-armed hug.

Sambath kissed his cheek, "Hi Mike, how are you and Casey?"

"We're still doing pretty damn good. Not that I'm complaining but what brings you here?"

"Oh I talked to Thea earlier and she said that you were all having dinner soon so I decided whip a few things up for everyone."

"That's very thoughtful of you, I'm Carolyn Barek, it's nice meeting you and you have a lovely daughter," Barek grinned at her as they shook hands.

"Mike's partner! It's a pleasure making your acquaintance, Carolyn and thank you."

"The feeling's mutual; oh and Thea's in the ladies' room."

Elliot and Olivia walked out of the multimedia room and immediately greeted Sambath with warm hugs and smiles.

Eames had a grin on her lips as she introduced herself to Sambath, "Thanks so much for dinner, it smells great and looks amazing. I can't wait to dig in."

"Thanks Alex and it's nothing. I love cooking! And I know you; it's great to finally see you in person, Robert."

Bobby gladly shook her hand, "Well it's a real honor meeting you, Sambath. I see where Thea got her cooking skills from."

"That's a real compliment. I've taught her well. John! Come here!"

Lupo and Bernard watched from their desk as Munch and Sambath hugged and exchanged kisses.

Bernard kept his voice low, "Thea's mother. Well, that's a real nice look into the future."

"Real subtle, B." Lupo rolled his eyes even though he agreed with his partner. Sambath was a few inches shorter than Thea, her skin was a bit lighter than her daughter's and there were some light freckles on her cheeks but the resemblance between them was obvious.

When she approached them, Bernard introduced the both of them as they shook hands, "I'm Kevin Bernard and this is Cyrus Lupo, it's lovely meeting you and thank you for making us dinner."

"Well, it's great meeting you two. Thea has already told me about the both of you. She's really impressed and it doesn't hurt that you're from Mike and Don's old precinct."

Lupo smiled as he nodded, "It's been wonderful working with your daughter, she's a really good cop and she's so kind. And now I see where she gets its from." He accepted the clear plastic food storage container from her.

Sambath's smile grew larger, "Aww, thank you, Cyrus."

He shrugged then opened the container, "This looks and smells delicious, thanks."

Thea froze when she saw her mother in the bullpen talking to Lupo and Bernard, "H-Hi Mom, I didn't expect you here. I thought you were having dinner with Cragen tonight at the 1-6?"

"Well I am but I was cooking a lot of food anyway so I thought I'd drop by and give everyone dinner and Captain Ross too. So, I made my famous grilled beef skewers, fried jalapeno prawns, spring rolls with my own dipping sauce and my special chicken fried rice." Sambath explained.

Thea tilted her head as she spoke, "Mom I appreciate this, I do, but please call ahead next time."

She cupped her cheek, "Oh Thea, I just wanted to make sure you're eating well…ya know, she used to be so chubby when she was young! I have pictures on my phone if any of you-", Sambath reached into her bag but Thea quickly grabbed her and turned her towards Ross's office.

"Some other time Mom, but right now, I'm gonna introduce you to Captain Ross," Thea said as she tried to hide her embarrassment.

The detectives laughed as the mother and daughter pairing headed into Ross's office.

From his seat, Bobby watched Thea and Sambath. Captain Ross seemed genuinely surprised to see Sambath but then he did the unexpected when she shook his hand and handed him his dinner. A large toothy smile touched his mouth while his blue eyes became bright.

Eames leaned forward as she licked dipping sauce off her bottom lip, "Bobby, you'd be more subtle if you walked up and pressed your face against the glass."

He turned to her and chuckled, "Whatever Eames."

After they left Ross's office Thea and Sambath exchanged kisses and hugs before the latter walked out of the room. Bobby watched Thea as she padded over to Munch, Olivia and Elliot. With her back turned to him, he ignored the rational part of himself and acted on impulse. He quickly got up and headed for the elevators.

"Robert?" Sambath looked at him with confused eyes when he shoved his arm into the elevator and stopped the door from closing.

"Sorry about that, I uh, I didn't want to put Thea on the spot by saying this in front of everyone. But..I want you to know that you did a fantastic job raising Thea. She is…she is an incredible woman."

Her dark eyes became big with surprise; she cupped her heart, "Oh, that's really nice of you to say, Robert. Um..well, Thea absolutely thinks the world of you."

His mouth dropped open and as joy filled him a brilliant smile came to his mouth, "Uh, thank you for telling me that… I hope you and Captain Cragen have a lovely dinner and wonderful night."

"Thank you; I hope the same for you. Goodnight Robert," she nodded.

He couldn't hide the smile on his face as he returned to the squad room.

Barek couldn't resist after she took a sip from her water bottle, "So, Logan, that's the ex."

He paused after he swallowed a spoonful of chicken fried rice, "Really Barek, really?"

A pleased expression was on her face, "You had to see that coming, Logan."

Bernard and Lupo perked up in their seats, the former spoke, "Sambath is your ex-girlfriend?"

Logan turned in Bernard's direction, "No, we went out on two dates over six years ago. We've been friends ever since then."

Bernard said, "So, Cragen's Thea's surrogate father and her captain…what does that make you to her?"

"Her overprotective Irish Catholic cop uncle," Logan smirked as he looked at Lupo.

The younger detective slowly nodded then grinned, "Good to know."

A half hour later, Thea spoke, "I've looked through The Stratton's employment records and I can't find any woman named Lily or Daisy."

Barek stated, "They were probably being paid under the table. For my first waitress job, I was only paid in cash but I was tipped very well."

Munch remarked, "My first job was like that, it was at a French restaurant. First, I was a busboy and then I charmed my way into being a waiter. I also dated the owner's daughter, Odette, she was the hostess. She was my first French girlfriend but she definitely wasn't my last. That's where my love for France started. We've had a beautiful relationship since then."

Thea teased, "And it's the only relationship you've ever had that hasn't ended in divorce."

His eyes rolled, "Low hanging fruit, Thea. I expect more from you."

"No one pitches a perfect game every time Munch."

Elliot briefly itched the skin on his inner right forearm underneath his USMC tattoo. He paused once he came to a realization as he reached into his box, "The orange peels, they're skins! And the markings are tattoos, birthmarks or scars."

Olivia pulled out the wine bottle, "Wine from Portugal, one of the rapists has a port-wine stain birthmark! And that's a 2X, so there are two of them."

Goren held up an open yearbook, "It's Dreston, here's a picture of him when the senior class went to Lake Windemere. He's in his swimming shorts. He was also on the lacrosse team with Malick. They were number 10 and 21."

Olivia shared, "Kip was also on his school's lacrosse team, he was number 7."

Bernard declared, "Roger Breckeridge also played lacrosse, his number was lucky 13."

Lupo said, "So was Bennett, he's number 3. Those match up with the numbered birthday candles that are in Stabler and Benson's box."

Munch interjected, "All of our victims' fathers are in Eden Manor's guestbook for the 1983 Winter Ball. I also found a Lily G but there is no Daisy. Although right above Lily's name is Roger Breckeridge. Maybe he was her date?"

Logan held up a scrapbook, "We got 'em! Here's a photo and article from The Ledger where they wrote about The Stratton during its glory days and specifically, The Scorpion Crew. Apparently, they treated the place like it was their personal clubhouse."

Everyone gathered around Logan and Bernard pointed at the photo as he spoke, "They're all wearing the same custom made jackets with the scorpion patch. And the caption IDs Dreston, Erlich, Bennett, Breckeridge and Malick."

Captain Ross walked into the center of the squad room where Logan and Barek shared the most recent developments. He nodded and seemed pleased.

"All right, it's too late to bring in our victims' parents for questioning and to interview witnesses from The Stratton and the winter ball; you'll do that first thing tomorrow. Take the rest of the night off, nice work detectives."
