7353 Did you guys see the news? Vandal struck one of Megacorp's buildings the other day!
9923 Yea, I saw it! He's getting ballsier every day!
7353 I heard some rumours that he's been saving people as well.
1064 Wait, who is Vandal?
7353 DUDE
7353 How do you not know who Vandal is! He's been travelling all around Japan, spreading anti-MLA ideals and fighting criminals!
1064 wait, A building near my house apparent;y got graffitied the other week with a big message, but it got washed off before I could see it. Are you saying he even came out to like, the rural areas?
9923 Yea dude, Vandals been to almost every town in Japan, and he only started like, two or three months ago! The guy's insane!
1064 How hasn't he been caught yet? Surely the Wardens don't want their 'perfect society' starting to have doubts. Especially the WRD.
7353 No clue how he hasn't been caught. But I will say, I feel like his messages are actually working! My town is pretty small, but I've noticed a distinct drop in like powerful Quirks getting right of way. Someone even stood up to this bully in my school the other day, and he can make people all woozy and stuff.
9923 wait actually? Someone knocked that guy off his pedestal? Fuck yeah! Been waiting for that! Damage report!
1064 Woah, just looked this guy up, he really has been busy, hasn't he?
7353 a black eye and a dislocated shoulder. Oh yea, super busy.

7353 Well fuck, the WRD found this site, time to GTFO!
9923 Scatter!
Izuku arrived a few meters in the air, yelping as he landed on a pile of clothes.
Wither stood in front of him, her hands by her sides, her blue eyes glinting slightly. "Ah, you are back. Please get off of the clothes, I need to store them so that we have space for the new acquisitions."
Izuku shook himself, trying to release some of his tension, and hopped off of the pile, moving over to one of the chairs nearby, taking a few deep breaths. He looked over to see Wither looking at him, her head cocked to the side.
"What is the matter?"
Izuku shivered as he recalled the feeling of the WRD's warpers eyes. They were like pools of molten gold, but even with their undefined shape, they seemed to cut a path right to his very soul.
"There was… another warper. Worked for the WRD, I think. Made of purple smoke, could open gates that people could move through. But when he opened one of his portals near me, I could feel it. It was terrifying."
He saw Wither place down the item she was holding, her focus seeming to shift to him. He continued. "I don't really know how to explain exactly how it felt to someone who can't teleport… but it felt wrong. Fractured."
Wither hummed. "Isn't fracturing space what teleporting is meant to be? Punching a hole between locations and travelling to the destination instantly?"
Izuku shook his head. "No, that's not what it's like. Or at least, that's not what mine feels like. When I jump, it's like I'm floating along currents, strings that connect everything in the world to each other. All I have to do is grab on and follow the string."
"The other warpers power… it felt like a creature desperately clawing its way through a wooden box. It ripped and tore at its location, forcing the world to create a new pathway or risk breaking completely…"
He shuddered, tingles running down his back as the feeling of the space around him screaming out as the purple portal opened ran through his mind again. He didn't know that he could even feel something like that.
Then again, he had never met another warper.
Wither hummed, starting up her work again now that Izuku seemed to be done. "I am glad you returned safely if this is the case. Nezu and Slipstream will likely want a report about this from you."
Izuku nodded his head slowly, getting to his feet. "Right. Yes. a report. I can do that. Should be easy."
He almost jumped out of the room when he felt a hand land on his shoulder. He turned to see Wither standing there. "I cannot truthfully say I relate, but this seems to have shaken you. Go home after you have given your report. Get some sleep. I have no further need for you today"
Izuku was about to argue when he saw the glint in Withers's eyes through her mask. It became painfully clear that this was not up for debate. "Alright. But I'll be back here tomorrow to help you out more, ok? Can't just leave you high and dry like this all the time!"
Wither nodded. "I will see you then, Blink."
Izuku waved to her, before jumping out of the room, back to Nezu's room.
[Greetings, Blink. Have you come to log a report of your mission?]
Izuku looked up at the box on the roof and nodded. "Yes. Wither said you might want one, so here I am. What do you want to know?"
There was a soft whirring noise for a moment before Nezu's response came. [I usually like to have 2 major things on file when getting a report. 1. Was the mission a success or a failure? 2. Were there any complications I should know about?]
[I overheard you speaking with Wither, so I am aware of the WRD's previously unknown warper. I have listed that under a complication. Please continue with your own report]
Izuku nodded. "Alright. Well first off, I consider the mission a success. I got all of the marked boxes but one, and also found a box full of some high-quality raw material that Wither said Telescope would like."
"And really, other than the warper, there weren't any other complications. Which is good, cause that warper really shook me up."
[Yes, I overhead Wither sending you home. I concur with her. You may go home and return here tomorrow. Thank you for your cooperation, Blink]
Izuku rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, I realized something. If this is all a trap, then it's a majorly unnecessary one. And Director Shigaraki doesn't seem the kind to waste time when he has a quick solution like his Warper."
He looked up at the box and smiled. "So I trust you guys now. More than I did at least. Maybe not fully just yet, but I'm willing to give this thing my all."
He then vanished from the room, leaving Nezu by his lonesome.
[Glad to hear it, Blink]
Flashpoint jumped over another rooftop, rolling as he landed.
It was his first night back in the city for… for almost 14 years, and he was loving it. Freedom. The lack of a roof, the open spaces for him to maneuver around with his Quirk.
The fact that it was night time made no difference to him. Compared to the insides of the WRD facility, even the dark alleyways and brightly lit main roads were interesting to him. He was in Tokyo, having been sent there by Genesis and Shutdown to look for Vandal here.
So far he'd found nothing. No graffitied buildings, no civilians that had been saved by a mysterious figure, nothing. Seemed that wherever Vandal was (and it seemed like he could be anywhere in Japan), Tokyo wasn't it.
That didn't stop him though. His orders were to patrol Tokyo's southside, and damnit he was going to do the best god damn patrol anyone had ever seen.
He saw a few people moving around the street, a few of them using their Meta Abilities to carry things, or move quicker, there was even one guy who was sliding around on his hands and feet down the roads, almost as quick as some cars.
But they weren't outlaws. They were just citizens using their Meta Abilities. What he was looking for was people hurting others, with or without their Quirk.
And he found some.
He had been flying over the main road when he saw a group of men dragging someone into an alleyway. Frowning, he let off a blast from his feet, rocketing towards the alleyway, rolling as he landed. He strained his ears to listen in, growling at what he heard.
"Buddy, you know the drill! You pay us half of what you earn, and we don't burn down your shop. We've been over this before, so why the fuck aren't you coughing up my cash?"
Flashpoint had heard enough. Obviously, this was some gang shaking down a store owner. Turning into the alleyway, he let his palms explode as brightly as he could make them. "THIS IS A WARDEN! EVERYONE ON THE GROUND!"
At his shout, the shop owner dropped to the floor, his hands wrapped over his head. The gang turned to him, seeing his official Warden jumpsuit and support gear. One of the members dropped what they were carrying instantly, dropping to the floor.
Unfortunately, (for them) the others remained standing.
The one at the front snarled. "Well shit boys, we got one of the upper-class mongrels here. Looks like a newbie though. Shouldn't bring too much attention to us when he ends up dead in a ditch."
Flashpoint growled. "I gave you fair warning. You have officially threatened a Warden of the Japenese Government. You are all placed under arrest."
With a snarl, he lit both his hands and feet up, blasting forward and kneeing the guy at the front faster than the gang could react. As he dropped like a stone, unconscious, Flashpoint hit the deck, dodging under a swing.
Using the soles of his feet as propulsion, he spun like a breakdancer, explosions pooping from his feet., before pushing off of the ground with his hands, setting off another explosion from his feet as they reached one of the gang members faces.
The gang member yelled, dropping to the floor and clutching at their face. The final member of the gang looked nervous when Flashpoint got to his feet, shaking.
Flashpoint scowled. "Your allies are down. You can't take me. Surrender now and I won't kick your shit in."
Predictably, the goon surrendered immediately, allowing himself to be handcuffed with the Meta Ability Suppressors. Flashpoint then went to all the other gang members and cuffed them, before tapping on his communicator.
"Tokyo Central, this is Flashpoint, Warden ID #997723. I've got 4 people in need of transport in the Shinagawa district, in an alleyway near the corner of 7th and 2nd streets."
There were a few seconds of silence before his communicator crackled again. "Copy that Flashpoint, transit van is en route. Congrats on your first catch, rookie."
He grunted, clicking his communicator off, and heading towards the shopkeep, who was still face down on the floor, whimpering. "Oi, the goons are dealt with. You can get up now."
The shopkeep sprung to his feet but didn't move further than that, looking at Flashpoint with poorly concealed fear on his eyes. Shit, remember what Shutdown taught you. No scowling/glaring/yelling at terrified civilians.
Smoothing out his face as best he could, he put on his nicest face and smiled. It felt terrible. There was a reason he always scored lowest in public outreach assignments. "It's OK. I'm not going to hurt you. I'm a Warden."
That didn't seem to calm the shopkeep down at all. Sighing, Flashpoint turned. "It's alright. Where is your shop? I'll walk you there."
"Um… ju-just down the road, sir."
Flashpoint nodded. "Alright, come with me and lead the way. I'm getting you back to your shop, and then you'll be locking up and heading home, alright?"
The shopkeep nodded shakily, apparently confused at Flashpoint's offer. "Yes sir."
"And drop the sir. You're like three times my age."
"Of course, sir."
Flashpoint grumbled.
Director Shigaraki hummed to himself as he read a book in his study.
Dinner with Atomiser and Simulator had gone wonderfully, as usual. Atomiser ate his food quietly but answered any questions that were asked quickly and accurately. Simulator carried the conversation, his loud personality dominating most rooms.
Like father like son, he guessed.
It had been a shame that Simulator hadn't gotten a version of All for One, but Copy was still a very powerful Quirk when used right. And after the skin graft that Shigaraki had given Simulator, replacing the skin on the boy's shoulder with a sample of his own, his son would never be without All for One.
He chuckled to himself. He might be too old for such antics, he couldn't wait to see what kind of Warden an All for One user could be. He pitied outlaws everywhere now that Simulator had been released into the wild.
And with his official Warden jumpsuit containing strands of DNA from many off Shigaraki's favourite Quirk users, he would never be without a powerful tool for almost any opponent.
Maybe he should put Simulator on the case with Kurogiri, to go after the thief with the Warping Meta Ability. Certainly, Warping would be an excellent tool for Simulator to have. Yes, he'd get the boy on the case immediately.
Picking up his phone, he dialed Kurogiri's number, smiling as it picked up on the first ring. "Master?"
"Kurogiri. I have made a decision. Simulator will be, from now on, helping with tracking down your little thief. Collect him immediately and get to work."
There was a muffled noise in the background of Kurogiri's line before the man responded. "Of course my lord. I will do so at once. Thank you for your call."
Then the line died, Kurogiri hanging up. He trusted Kurogiri, and Simulator was a very powerful person now. Shigaraki smiled to himself, content in knowing that the problems should be dealt with soon.
Now, what to do with the rest of his evening?
