Sora had followed Jasmine and Rajah through the buildings and towards the palace gates they saw that the area was being attacked by Heartless. Sora couldn't help but leap out to attack and aid the citizens with Jasmine not wanting to protest this at all; she couldn't let her citizens be attacked as well.
Sora slashed through them with his Keyblade but was attacked from behind and soon they were swarming him, still used to trying to fight for real and he did his best to try and send them back and then used the Fire magic against them until they were gone. Jasmine went to check on Jasmine concerned to make sure he was alright. The two along with Rajah went past the gate and Jasmine motioned with Sora to follow her to a passage.
"It's one of the entrances that is used by the Guard to go in and out, I got caught trying to use it to sneak out once. It's close to where Jafar's quarters are so we can use that for clues." Jasmine explained to him and motioned for him and Rajah to be quiet as they go went down. Jasmine couldn't help but ask quietly "please forgive me for being curious and nosy but what is your home like?"
"Not as busy as it is here, I like to play with my friends near the beach like Riku and Kairi but there are bullies. Nonetheless it's a nice place and so is your kingdom, you must be able to do a lot here." Sora replied quietly as Jasmine looked down as Sora looked concerned. "Something the matter Jasmine? Did I say something wrong?" Sora asked concerned as Jasmine sighed.
"I haven't seen much of Agrabah beyond the palace walls except for the time when I was young and inside the palace my father had a recreation of the marketplace set up for me to explore. Except for visiting family, I never really had any friends." Jasmine explained as Sora was surprised and shocked, he felt luckier that he had Riku and Kairi back home to get back to when he finds a way to save them. Rajah got his head up annoyed at her direction and she clapped her head saying "and you of course Rajah."
Sora gave her a smile and said "well you have another friend now in me, if that's alright with you." Jasmine gave him a grateful smile and a nod but then realised when they got to the end of the passage that they had to stay on task. She then showed him to the entrance of Jafar's quarters as they walked down sneakily after checking to make sure that the coast was clear.
She went and showed him the map with Sherabad circled and Sora noticed a bookshelf and she looked at it and took out a journal to look through it for clues. After some time Sora noticed she looked disgusted as she was shaking his head. "Seems that Jafar took a list of the magical items that he had collected and used, the magic staff that he has was used to manipulate his way to becoming my father's vizier and even convinced him to keep him employed when there were concerns. Plus it seems that he was looking for a genie's lamp inside a place called the Cave of Wonders, once he finally got someone inside it seems the lamp was gone and he only got away with a magic carpet..." Jasmine said as they were surprised when they saw a purple carpet rise from the ground and greet them as if like a person, Rajah looked ready to pounce if it made so much as a slight attack but it looked friendly.
"So you must be the magic carpet that Jafar found in that cave?" Sora asked and the Carpet gave a nod and then held out its right edge tussles as if asking for a handshake to which Sora accepted and Jasmine looked at this display amused before going back to the journal. She then gasped and Sora asked if something was the matter.
She put down the journal and showed him a picture of a keyhole in the original book that she had taken from this location, "Jafar's journal said that in Sherabad, he had it decided to be the most likely place for the world's Keyhole. I remember it saying in this book that the Keyhole is where the world's heart is and if consumed by Darkness the Darkness can overcome the world. The Keyblade can be used to lock the Keyhole and to save it from the Darkness, stopping them from overcoming it." Jasmine explained and Sora took it in but then they noticed Heartless suddenly appearing and he then began fighting them but they kept on coming.
"Jafar must have had them guard his place but ready for when intruders are off guard." Jasmine muttered doing her best to try and keep them back with a nearby scimitar sword to little affect. The Carpet then went and got both Jasmine and Sora on top of it and Jasmine tried to get Rajah on but he was too big and he went and charged at the Heartless while looking at them telling them to get away.
Jasmine was protesting as the Carpet rushed them up the stairs and then through the open window, Jasmine was looking behind her with great sadness as Sora put his hand on her shoulder and told him "we will come back for him Jasmine, I promise that after we stop Jafar then we will make sure that he is safe along with your dad." Jasmine smiled at his support and nodded in response as she was facing the front of the carpet.
"We should go to Sherabad and warn them that Jafar and the Heartless will want to put them into danger, I know the way from the maps that I have studied..." Jasmine said while directing Carpet where to fly as they both held on and looked down at the view.
In the throne room Jafar was angrily muttering about the accursed Princess and the Key Bearer escaping from the Heartless guarding his quarters in the palace while watching the events through a crystal ball. "So the Princess gets away Jafar? What is Maleficent going to react if she and the boy keeps escaping you..." Iago remarked as Jafar blasted a magic spell at his direction to which hit his faith feathers while he fumed.
"Quiet Iago, she will not escape me for long but what's more important is that I can use that accursed Sherabad's destruction to start my rule over the world! My vengeance will be swift and besides the Princess will be leading herself to me to take for her role in everything. I have my focus on where it should..." Jafar said but paused when he saw a dark portal open up and out came Maleficent.
"Do you really have your focus on where it should? It sounds like you are putting too much focus on your vendetta against Sherabad and I can't let your judgement cloud my plans, you know how much our plans rely on finding all 7 Princesses of Heart!" Maleficent told him coldly as Jafar instantly looked frightened as he bowed before her.
"Of course, I wouldn't dare put your plans into jeopardy! My humble personage bows before your greatness and power Maleficent! I just thought that it would be better on focus on getting to the Keyhole and use the Heartless to overcome this world, then with no way for her to stop us then she will be ours for the taking!" Jafar told her with Maleficent scowling at how pitiful that he looked.
"Make sure that you have your focus straight especially since she has the Key Bearer with her now, I will not be pleased if you let them jeopardise our goals and to make sure to keep your Darkness in your grudge in check. You are less useful to me as a mindless Heartless and I will not be pleased if I will have to clean up any mess that you end up making!" Maleficent warned him and he just bowed.
"Of course my liege, I live to serve and I would never think of jeopardising your goals!" Jafar said as she then left back through the portal. Jafar looked furious as he got up and Iago started laughing.
"'my humble personage bows before you greatness and power', why not go all the way and offer to kiss her boots..." Iago laughed as Jafar then used his hands to force Iago's beak closed and glared furiously at him.
"Soon, I will find a way to grow even more powerful than even she and the universe will be mine to command!" Jafar snapped as he went to get the army ready to invade Sherabad.
Sora and Jasmine had been holding onto the Carpet but marvelled at the scenery of the desert while holding onto the Carpet, seeing all the pyramids and hills it was nice to see. It was like they were in a whole new world. Jasmine was directing the Carpet and pointed to a city saying they were there, the Carpet then went over the wall and landed near the ground allowing them to get off.
Sora was not so graceful falling off but Jasmine helped him up with a smile as they both marvelled at the place, "Sherabad, mother's homeland!" Jasmine spoke softly with the biggest smile on her face.
