Happy Holidays everyone.
Sora and Jasmine walked through the streets of Sherabad staying close together as they looked at the buildings and the people; Sora looked as Jasmine was in awe at the sight of her mother's homeland. They took some time walking down the middle and tried to go around the crowded streets of the city. Sora ended up accidentally bumping into an aged guard soldier with a grey goatee and thought that he could be of help. "Excuse me, I am not from around here and I am looking for the Palace, are you apart of the guard?" Sora asked with Jasmine noticing Sora and coming by.
"I'm Captain Razoul, what business could you possibly have with the Palace?" The guard answered looking down at Sora sternly which made him nervous especially when he spotted his sheathed scimitar.
"Well we came here from Agrabah with a warning; Jafar is coming towards Sherabad..." Sora replied and Razoul scoffed shaking his head.
"Oh great, we have to deal with him coming back here. Agrabah's vizier or not, if you ask me he is still the same street rat that I remember all those decades ago. I suppose that you are a messenger boy that he sent?" Razoul responded dismissively with them being taken back by how he called Jafar a street rat. Jasmine made herself known by going up to Razoul and taking down her hood making Razoul step back and be taken aback in shock when he recognised her.
"Princess Jasmine? Forgive me as I was not expecting your presence and I would have assumed that your father would have more of an escort than just the one servant. Your uncle would need to be informed at once by your presence..." Razoul said with his great shock and Jasmine didn't look too happy about him calling Sora a servant.
"Sora is my new friend and not a servant but Captain Razoul, you have to listen... My Uncle needs to know that Sherabad is in great danger. Jafar has seized power in a coup and has amassed an army to invade, plus he has great evil magic at his command now..." Jasmine explained as Razoul was taken aback and looked a little sceptical of the story but he found two of his guards rushing to him in a panic.
Then they saw the crowd slowly running away in a panic as they saw the Heartless appear to their shock, "Captain Razoul, these monsters broke through the gate and we couldn't stop them. There are too many, they appear out of nowhere and they are being led by Agrabah's royal vizier Jafar! He is leading an army of soldiers to invade and he claims to have taken the throne as the new Sultan of Agrabah!" one of them told Razoul to their shock as Razoul quickly went to work shouting at the guards to get the people to saftey inside their homes and to engage the invading army.
Jasmine got out her scimitar sword from her cloak and began pushing back the Heartless as Sora got out of his Keyblade; he then began aggressively charging at the Heartless and firing Fire at them. Razoul was taken aback and said "are you a guard trainee... Never mind... As Captain of the Royal Guard of Sherabad, I hereby deputise you and order you to take Princess Jasmine safe..."
Jasmine wasn't thrilled at being treated like she was helpless as she did her best to push the Heartless back, she could protect herself even if she didn't have the means to properly vanquish the Heartless. The Heartless were starting to focus on trying to attack Sora as he sent them back but then Sora felt the magic Carpet swoop from underneath him and then Jasmine. "A little warning would be nice Carpet..." Sora muttered as he and Jasmine were lying in a heap on Carpet, not given the chance to get up before Carpet began flying and they screamed while holding onto Carpet to try and not fall.
Carpet ended up crashing into a doorless floor of a tall building, Jasmine glared at Carpet as she got up first and let out a hand to help Sora up, they spotted an older woman there spotting them. "Sorry for barging in like this, our magic Carpet took us here as we were trying to fight the Heartless outside..." Sora spoke realising how weird it looked and sounded, especially when the woman did see Carpet get up and wave apologetically to her.
"Pardon for our intrusion, I am Princess Jasmine and this is my friend Sora. We were trying to make an escape and we will get out of your hair in a moment..." Jasmine spoke as if diplomatically as she removed her hood, walking up but then the woman bowed before her making Jasmine frown.
"No need your highness, you and your friend are welcome to stay here for as long as you need to. It would be an honour to play host to the Sultan's niece. If only you visited on a different day, since some evil Sorcerer or something have caused these monsters to appear... I rushed myself and my boy Aladdin home saftey and have everything boarded up. Please make yourself home." The woman replied making Jasmine sigh as the woman motioned for the two to follow her down the stairs.
"The monsters are the Heartless and we came here to warn everyone about them, my father's vizier Jafar has seized power and is responsible for them..." Jasmine explained but then saw the woman look angry and was facing her.
"Jafar you say? Knew he was a snake and I wish I am more surprised than I actually am! It was bad enough that he never replied to any of our letters for eachother even when we wanted to congratulate him when we heard of him becoming Agrabah's vizier but the nerve of him only replying that another useless street rat was born when we told him of Aladdin's birth. Plus telling him of Cassim's passing and he actually sent back the funeral invitation back ripped in pieces... To think he would pull this, I knew I was right when I suggested what to do if he ever showed his face here on our doorstep..." The woman replied taking Sora and Jasmine aback at the hatred in the woman's voice and confusion as to how this woman knew Jafar.
"You knew Jafar?" Sora asked as the woman gave a humourless laugh as the woman showed them a framed picture of two young boys with Jasmine and Sora seeing the boy on the left frowning looking a bit like Jafar only really young.
"Vaguely but I knew enough, he was my husband's brother and they grew up as thieves together. I met them after they served a sentence in the dungeons. I fell in love with Cassim but Jafar left saying that he wanted to leave the miserable life and kingdom behind him. Cassim was mighty proud when he heard of Jafar becoming vizier but of course Jafar had cut his family out of his life and wasn't interested in the congratulations..." The woman explained with Sora and Jasmine not knowing what to say.
"Sorry about your husband, he deserved a better brother..." Sora replied with Jasmine giving a look in agreement with Sora's words, she didn't think that she would ever meet someone with more hatred for Jafar than she did with more reason to as well.
"Don't worry about it dears, make yourselves at home as I said..." The woman said with a small smile as she opened the door to the living room, there was an older boy with a red fez hat, purple sleeveless shirt and white pants. He had a brown furred monkey on his shoulder with a purple and red mini fez hat and a mini red sleeveless shirt of his own. Sora and Jasmine looked amused at the sight of the monkey as the woman said "Aladdin, come and meet our guests: we have Princess Jasmine and Sora. This is my boy Aladdin and his little friend Abu."
Aladdin got up from the table which had a golden lamp on it, Aladdin bowed before them and gave a friendly out to shake which Sora and Jasmine accepted. "Nice to meet you Aladdin, sorry that we kind of dropped in here unexpectedly on our magic Carpet..." Sora told Aladdin with Jasmine giggling behind her hand as Sora looked sheepish at this. However they were stunned when they saw the golden lamp suddenly moving about.
Aladdin, his mother and Abu didn't react as suddenly out came from the lamp was a light blue muscular man with a black goatee, light blue skin, dark blue pants, a dark red belt and brown shoes. "Did somebody say magic Carpet?" The man said looking around as down came from the door was the Carpet that followed Sora and Jasmine. "Carpet, my man! It has been too long, I was so worried when I saw that Ali boy here and his old man didn't retrieve you from the Cave! Put it here!" The man said excited seemingly having a fist bump with the tussles of the top part of the Carpet.
Sora and Jasmine were speechless as they both sat down on nearby chairs to try and process this, Aladdin's mother handed them cups of tea to drink which they accepted and thanked her for as they knew they would need a minute to process this. They didn't notice on the nearby unmagical carpet that was on the floor, covering a large keyhole shaped hole in the boards...
In the original Aladdin tale from what I hear; one of Jafar's inspirations in the story (the sorcerer guy who wanted the Magic Lamp in the first place) manipulated Aladdin by pretending to be his long lost uncle. I do remember this being used in a pantomime version of the story that my High School once did when I was there and I still have the DVD somewhere. Decided to make that for real, wish they could have used the idea for the live action movie. Funny how no one suggests this and yet so many fan theories that Aladdin's brother is Mozenrath from the show.
