Thank you all for reading and reviewing.

Tks, swimmingclara

Note: 1) I've decided to add more three parts to the first chapter; 2) Gabby never had a medical problem to get pregnant.

...

Matt and Gabby were walking hand in hand as they made their way to Firehouse 51. They were excited to reveal to their friends and co-workers the gender of their baby.

"Do you think it's crazy that I always have butterflies in my stomach when this time comes? I mean revealing to everyone what we are having." Gabby asked gazing at her husband.

"I don't, babe. I believe it's normal since they are happy for us, and it's like a big event for them." He chuckled. "Because of us they make some money, let's not forget that." He winked at her as adjusting her bag on his shoulder.

"You're right, they take the guess gender pretty seriously." Gabby said seriously as they were crossing the apparatus floor.

Gabby has reached the 15th week of her pregnancy. Baby Casey number 4 has the size of an orange. When Gabby told it for her other kids during the dinner last night, they laughed and even called it orange a few times.

When they found out they were pregnant again Casey and Dawson got a bit worried because of Jacob. He was their youngest and very attached to them. They were afraid he would despise having a baby sister or brother. So, it was important he hasn't felt rejected or left out. To help him to get used to it Gabby and Casey were taking some time every night when they weren't working to talk to him, encouraging him to open up and tell them how he was feeling. Always showing him how much he was loved and he wasn't losing his place in their family.

Heading down the hallway toward the lockers' room, they saw Cruz was coming in their direction "Morning, guys."

"Morning, Cruz." Gabby responded.

"Hi, man" Casey looked at him suspiciously.

"So..." he continued. "When are we getting the announcement?" he moved his eyes between the two expectantly.

Casey pressed his lips together peeking at his wife.

"Cruz, you're worse than my kids when it comes to waiting." Gabby chortle as crossing her arms over the chest.

"Good things come to those who wait, you know." Casey said suppressing a laugh.

"It's a boy, isn't it?" He spoke rubbing his palms together.

"What? It's a boy? Damn it... I lost again" Herrmann shouted out a few steps behind Cruz.

"We didn't say it is a boy." Casey cut in a bit frustrated.

"Neither a girl." Casey rubbed Gabby's back.

"Thanks, baby. Guys, we are going to tell you soon, okay? We are doing it differently this time." She confessed animated.

"Cindy is making us a cake-", Herrmann interjected.

"My Cindy?"

"Yes, your Cindy." pointing his finger at Herrmann, "... as I was saying when we cut it, you will see if it's a boy or girl", Casey added smiling briefly at his wife.

"I loved the idea because I love cakes" Cruz's smile widened.

"All this time Cindy knows and I don't!" Herrmann scoffed. Gabby and Matt couldn't help but laugh at him.

Patting his shoulder Gabby uttered, "Herrmann, don't take it too seriously. You know we love you as well."

"Okay..." He slipped his hands in his front pockets still not happy.

"Come on, buddy...", Cruz wrapped an arm around Herrmann's shoulder as he giggled.

The couple was alone, "I think we hurt his feelings, babe" Casey declared as he put an arm around Gabby's waist.

"Yeah, still it's for a great cause." They restarted their path to the lockers.

...

"The cake is here. Where is Dawson?" Herrmann questioned from his seat on the couch. Mouch was by his side watching TV and eating some popcorn.

"Man, you are grumpy today." Otis stated as he walked over to the kitchen counter. Cruz was leaned back against it as sipping his coffee.

"She is cleaning herself up that kid vomit... ugh", Shay scrunched up her nose.

Severide raised his eyebrows, "Are you sure? Casey went there ten minutes ago and still didn't come back..." trying to make his point.

"It's not like he will get her pregnant you know," Stella shrugged her shoulders "... because she is already."

"I would say they are like little rabbits-", Gabby cut Shay off.

"Shay, could stop talking about our sex life?" Gabby was followed by her husband.

"You heard my wife." Casey squeezed Gabby's waist as they took a position in front of the counter kitchen.

"Okay" Shay stood up raising her hands in the air.

"Can we cut the cake?" Herrmann queried.

"First..." Gabby began as she watched Herrmann sighed deeply.

Shay and Stella snickered.

"I want to say that Matt and I appreciate your friendship and for always being there for us. We are happy for sharing amazing news with you."

Casey kissed Gabby's side head.

"Yeah, you are family. My kids love all of you and this one won't be different." Casey moved his eyes between his friends as Gabby teared up.

"Now... I'd love if you cut the cake for us Herrmann" Gabby stared at him.

"Me?" he shifted on his feet getting emotional.

"Please, Herrmann, give us the honour" Casey took the knife on the counter carefully.

He stepped up and grabbed the knife. "Okay, thank you, guys."

The cake was on the large table.

"Come on, come on." Cruz whispered.

They all got quiet as they watched Herrmann slowly starting to cut a slice, then sliding the knife under the bottom of the slice they saw the pink centre of the cake.

"Yeahhhhh. I guessed right" Herrmann yelled. "Yeahhh."

Everyone laughed at his reaction.

Gabby and Casey were hugging each other tightly.

"It's a girl... it's a girl...", Casey repeated himself a couple of times as tears rolling down Gabby's cheek.

"We are having a girl now we are even." Gabby pulled away to look at her husband. "I love you; I love you" kissing Casey on the lips.

"You two get a room", Severide voiced as he patted Casey's back. "Congratulation, guys."

They turned to give their friend a hug also.

"Thanks, man."

"Thanks, Sev."

"Come here, girl." Shay pulled Gabby to a hug. "I knew you were having a baby girl."

"You knew, hun?"

Shay leaned down towards Gabby's belly, "Hi, Alice", while Casey, Severide, Stella, and Chief Boden were eyeing her.

"Shay, that is not her name." Casey stated.

Straightening her back, "What's her name then?" as she crossed her arms.

Casey looked at his wife, tell her baby.

"Her name is..." Gabby's eyes were locked on Casey. "Elizabeth."

"OMG... OMG..." Shay jumped on Gabby, hugging her.

"Calm down, Shay," Severide told her as he was laughing at her.

However, Shay couldn't be happier that having one of Casey's children called by her name.

...

"Hey, I was looking for you." Casey said as he saw his wife sitting at the head of his bunk, looking at something on her mobile.

"I'm here we should call Amanda it's almost their bedtime." Gabby remembered him.

"Yeah, you're right." he responded as Gabby patted the side of the bed, signalling him to sit at her side.

Gabby was tapping Amanda's name as Matt slid an arm behind her back, pulling her closer to his side.

They were facing Gabby's mobile waiting for Amanda to pick up. A few seconds passed.

"Hi, guys." Amanda greeted them.

"Hi, Amanda, we called you at a bad time?" Gabby asked.

"No, not at all. I was cleaning the kitchen before getting kids on the bed." She spoke as she was walking to the living room.

"Okay, how have they been?" Matt questioned her.

"They've been just fine. You know they've done their homework, had dinner and now they are watching some TV." Amanda looked away. "Hey, kids, your parents want to say goodnight."

"Mamma." they heard Jacob's voice.

Holding the phone for them, Gabby and Casey could see their three kids already in their pyjamas.

"Hi, little guy how you are doing?"

"When you are coming home, Mamma?" Jacob was holding his stuffed animal.

"One sleep and we'll be home, okay? Mamma misses all of you so much."

"Dad, can we eat pizza tomorrow?"

Matt, chuckled, "Tomorrow it's Friday, so I think we can do that, buddy." Matt smiled at them as Antony raised his hands excitedly. "So, how is my princess?"

"I made a new friend at school; her name is Serena she is from England."

"Oh, that's great, baby." Gabby declared gazing at Matt briefly.

"She told me that there they have a queen, princesses, and princes. I'd love to go there one day."

"Maybe, one day we all could go together." Matt expressed.

"There are a lot of castles there... I think." Maya said tilting her head.

"I believe you're right, princess."

Gabby saw Antony and Jacob yawing, "So, it's bedtime we love you, have a good night. Sweet dreams we see you in the morning."

"Bye, Mamma... bye Daddy..." Jacob and Antony said at the same time.

"Have a good night we love you."

"Love you." Maya covered her mouth as she yawned.

Then Amanda said her goodnight to Matt and Gabby and she turned off.

"It's early for us, but I'm already tired." Gabby stared at Matt.

"Of course, you're." He cradled her face gently. "You're carrying a baby, babe." He smiled at her sweetly.

"Are you happy we are having a girl?"

"More than happy, you know I was wishing we would have another girl."

"Yeah." smiling at him, she rested her hand over his on her belly.

Looking down at her their hands joined. "When are you thinking on going leave?" Matt lifted his head to stared at his wife.

"I'm still unsure, however I feel secure to work through the coming months. I don't need to go on leave right now."

"I'd say six months into your pregnancy seems a good time to go for another work assignments or go on leave. If you ask me." he pointed out.

"You know... two years ago CFD has implemented a program that allows us to one-year of full-time paid maternity leave." Gabby informed him.

"You'd like to do that?" Matt was rubbing her hand.

"Maybe, at least I like to know that I have this possibility." Her eyes roamed over his face.

"I'd miss having you here, but kids would love having you home." He smiled warmly at her.

"I'd miss you as well." Gabby kissed him lightly on the lips.

"Anything you decide I'll be right there for you."

"Thank you."

"How about we take a nap. I think you need it." Matt caressed her check.

"I'd love it." Gabby and Matt laid down, then Matt cuddled her.

...

Two days later... Saturday night

Gabby was laying on her side of the bed as she saw her husband entering their bedroom. They had the house to themselves since Maya, Antony and Jacob were sleeping at Antonio and Laura's house. They were having a sleepover with Eva and Diego.

"You're feeling better?" Casey questioned Gabby.

"Yeah, it's nothing." Gabby had had a lightly abdominal pain earlier. She called her doctor, and they agreed Gabby was going to see her tomorrow. Matt let Chief Boden know they would be late.

"You would tell me if something is wrong, right?" Casey slid under the covers.

"Of course," Gabby narrowed her eyes at him. "I'm fine."

Casey eyed her before resting his head on the pillow, Gabby turned to the right to turn off the lamp.

Gabby pushed her back against Matt's chest and he wrapped an arm around her.

"I love both of you...", he said touching Gabby's belly.

"We love you...", Gabby brought his hand to her lips and kissed it.

3.45 a.m.

"Matt... Matt..." Gabby whispered. She was feeling so much pain.

Struggling to spread her arm and reach for the lamp, with one hand over her stomach.

"Matt..." Gabby called him louder this time.

"What is it?" He blinked a few times.

"Something is wrong, Matt... Please help me..." Gabby was desperate.

"What are you feeling?" he sat down.

Gabby pulled the covers away there was blood on the sheets. "Oh my God... Matt... no..." she cried out.

Standing up and running to her side of the bed. "Come here... everything's going to be okay", taking her in his arms as she wrapped an arm around his neck.

"I think I am having a miscarriage." tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I'm taking you to the hospital you two will be fine." passing through the door. "I'm here... I'm here with you, babe."
