Raihan hummed one of Piers's songs to himself as he took the elevator up the Battle Tower. He wasn't there to fight today, just say hullo to Leon and maybe convince his longtime rival to take a break for lunch.

Leon was very hard-working, which the dragon type leader admired - but Leon could also cheerfully work himself into exhaustion. Raihan had literally watched him fall asleep standing up, and wow had the drooling not been attractive.

Er, not that he found Leon attractive or anything. That would be ridiculous. They were just mates. Raihan wasn't even sure the former Champion swung that way. Not that - he hadn't thought about, you know. Just never came up.

The doors opened, and Raihan had his trademark grin in place… and then it faltered.

Leon was talking to an assistant, but turned as the elevator opened. He grinned himself, and Raihan could swear the man actually sparkled as he said, "Raihan! Good to see you!"

The dragon type leader cleared his throat, shoving his hands in his pockets as he walked forward, "Course, mate. Just came to see how feeding your battle addiction is going."

His eyes couldn't stay still though - glancing up and down, quickly taking in the fine and out of character suit the other man was wearing. Damn, he knew Leon got into his work, but… damn. He'd have to figure out how to sneak a picture of this.

Leon snorted, "My battle addiction? Are you… feeling alright? You look a little flushed."

"What?" Raihan asked, eyes going wide as he realized he was blushing - which only made him blush harder. He forced a laugh, "No, I uh… I jogged from the monorail, so it's probably just from that."

"Right," the former champion smiled.

He's so trusting, Raihan thought, But that's just one of the things I love about him.

Wait.

Love?

Fuck.

"Actually," Raihan said, backing away and into the elevator, "I just forgot that I remembered something, so I have to go. Nice seeing you, love the new togs!"

The last was accompanied by a wink that was meant to playful, but shit did that come off as flirtatious?

Leon tilted his head in confusion, "Thanks?"

As the elevator doors closed, Raihan groaned, burying his face in his hands. His heart felt like it was going to pound straight out of his chest, and he tried to think of when this started.

It started the first time he beat you and you know it, he thought to himself, feeling a little stupid. He'd been trying not to acknowledge it for years, but… gah, he couldn't help it. He couldn't be mad at Leon beating him when he was so grounded and noble, but the rush and intensity of their battles was so… heady.

How could someone so wholesome be such a badass? It wasn't fair.

It just… ticked all the right boxes.

As the elevators opened into the lobby of the Battle Tower, Raihan was able to regain his composure… for all of five seconds before he quite literally tripped over Piers.

"Bloody fuckin' 'ell," the dark type user growled, "I know tha air's thin up there, but watch where yer goin', Raihan."

Raihan chuckled sheepishly, disentangling himself from the smaller man - and blushing at their proximity as he leaned back, "Sorry, mate, my bad."

Piers huffed, but there was no real heat to it as pushed off the floor to lean back on his arms, "What's got you distracted?"

The dragon type leader swallowed, getting to his feet and offering the singer a hand up, "Ah, well… Leon, mostly."

"The usual, then," the dark type user snorted, glaring for a minute before accepting the help to his feet, "You two goin' ta start datin' 'r what?"

"I don't think he's interested," Raihan grinned, trying to play it off and probably failing, "Besides, where would that leave us?"

Of course, he had to run into Piers, of all people.

Now, this crush was new. Or was it? He'd always had a bit of a thing for the singer's sharp tongue and authority issues, but that was more just… attraction. Right? It wasn't like he'd been idly daydreaming about icy pale blue eyes, watching every music video the minute they released thanks to VIP club notifications, and had bought tickets to every live show for the past couple years.

Shit.

"Are you an idiot?" Piers deadpanned, slouching in his usual way. Then he added, "What's wrong with yer face?"

"N-nothing!" Raihan said, holding up his hands, "Just, uh-"

The singer arched a brow, waiting for a response.

They were nothing alike - well, actually. If Raihan were ticking the boxes of wholesome and badass, he guessed Piers fit that bill, too. The dragon type leader had seen a different side of Piers during the last Gym Challenge - the side that went out of his way to help out young trainers, worried about his kid sister, and didn't hesitate to play hero.

Combine that with the foul-mouthed, high energy punk rock energy, and…

Well.

"I just remembered to forget something, so I have to go," Riahan said, feeling his face heated up again as he did his best not to run out the door.

"Okay?" Piers frowned after him, "See ya at tha show tonight."

Shit, that's right, Raihan thought, "Yeah, see you there!"

It wasn't until he was on Flygon's back that he let out a loud groan, startling his pokemon, which chirped at him.

"It's nothing, I'm just an idiot," he assured it, sighing as he tried to figure out what to do.

By the time he got to the concert, he still had no idea.

The show was great - as usual. Watching Piers gave him the same high as battling, and really, that should have tipped him off about his feelings out of everything.

Would it be weirder not to show up? Raihan thought, slipping backstage with a wave to the familiar guards. He usually stopped by to say hello to Piers after shows, and sometimes they would go get a pint or two before heading their separate ways. Leon had even gone to a few shows and joined them every once in a while, and it was always a fun time.

But if the singer invited him out tonight, after he'd realized how much he really liked the man… oh, he was in trouble.

He stopped just as he was reaching for the handle to Piers's dressing room, voices breaking him out of his reverie.

Familiar voices.

Glancing around, he peeked through the slightly ajar door to see Leon and Piers talking. Piers was doing the thing where he tugged on his choker, and Leon was all smiles and dressed in regular jeans and a t-shirt… with the Spikemuth symbol on it.

And they were very close together. Very much in each others' bubbles. Like they were about to kiss or something.

Raihan swallowed around a sudden lump in his throat, even as his face heated up for what felt like the hundredth time today. Were… were they a couple? How had he missed this?

Leon shifted closer, a hand bracing against the wall above Piers's head. Piers didn't move away, saying something that made Leon laugh - too low for Raihan to hear, but damn did he want to.

I should go, the dragon type leader said, though he did no such thing. He felt like maybe he should be jealous, or sad, but honestly? He kind of… dug seeing them together. Because. Well. He didn't want to choose between them, so maybe, if they were into each other…

Maybe they could be into each and him? That was probably wishful thinking.

Leon's arm slid across Piers's torso, hand resting on the smaller man's hip as the former Champion's head dropped closer to the singer's ear. He murmured something, and one of Piers's pale hands appeared to tangle into the hair at the nape of Leon's neck.

Fuck, Raihan thought, trying to force himself to move again. Instead, he pulled out his phone.

One picture, he thought, Just for me. It couldn't hurt… right?

It was as he clicked the button to take the shot that Piers pulled Leon's head back to push up into a searing kiss.

Raihan just… stared in shock at capturing such a perfect moment. It was like they had planned it, but that was impossible.

Except then Piers pulled back - and looked right at him and smirked, "Get a good shot, Rai?"

And then Leon turned to face the door and grin, "We had to traumatize some poor roadie to get the angle right, so you better have."

It took Raihan… a minute to gather enough of his wits to open the door, slip inside, and close door behind him.

"So, um," he asked, face on fire, "What?"

"I mean, it's been pretty obvious y'ave a crush on both a us," Piers said, shrugging, "So we talked about it."

"We decided we're both good if you are," Leon added, and glanced down and snorted, "Seems like you are."

Raihan felt… well, he probably should feel embarrassed, considering the semi he was sporting from watching a kiss, but how could he, when…

Piers held out a hand, "What're ya waitin' fer? Unless ya got somethin' ta forget 'r remember again."

The dragon type leader snorted, then cleared his throat before letting himself be pulled into the pair. As Leon wrapped an arm around his shoulders, and Piers wrapped his own around Raihan's waist, the tall man couldn't help but grin.

"Nah - I have nowhere else to be right now."
