Purvi entered the cafeteria and saw that Kavin was sitting and drinking cold coffee without any worry written on his face.
She was legit shocked that how the hell could he be so so calm in this serious atmosphere. She walked towards him and stand infront of him crossing her arms.
"Can't you tell anyone about where you are going?" She asked as soon as he looked at her while taking a sip from the glass. He didn't answer but focused on finishing his coffee.
Few members from the team also come there and saw them so they stopped at the entrance.
"I am asking something to you Kavin. Tum bta nahi sakte the ki yaha aa rahe ho? Tumhe pta bhi hai ki kitni fiqr.." She stopped in the middle realising what she was going to say.
"Kyu ruk gyi? Complete karo sentence." He said standing up from the chair.
"Tum bta ke aa sakte the" Purvi tried to change the topic.
"Tumhe kyu fiqr ho rahi hai meri Purvi? Jab tumhe mere saath koi rishta hi nahi rakhna"Kavin almost shouted due to which Purvi closed her eyes.
"K-kavin" She tried to say but she was cut in middle
"Mujhe actually tumhari problem samjh nhi aa rhi Purvi. Ek baar tum kehti ho that You love me or jab saath rehne ke liye bolte hai toh? Tumhe mere saath rehna nahi hai. Can you explain me what you really want?" He asked her.
"Kavin dekho I-i just want y-ou to be safe" She somehow spoke.
"Why are you caring for that? I will take care of myself. Jaise chal rha tha na sab waise hi rehne do. Mat dikhao apni yeh jhuthi care" and tears brimmed in his eyes cause he was saying these harsh words to that girl whom he loved the most. He left from there. Tears fell down his eyes but he somehow managed to wipe them and went to bureau.
Here Purvi closed her eyes and few drops rolled down her cheeks. Ishita who was standing at the entrance came to her and kept her hand on Purvi's shoulder. Purvi wiped her face and said "chal Ishi bohot kaam karna hai abhi"
"Teri halat dekh rhi hai tu?"
"Jo jaruri hai woh kar lete hai hum abhi" Purvi replied with a painful smile.
Ishita nodded cause after all Kaam jyada jaruri hai and they both left with other officers.
Entering into the bureau Shreya asked "kuch mila kya Mayur? Woh chip hack hui?" Making others look at him.
Mayur looked at Shreya then at his seniors and nodded in no and earned a glare from Ishita and then shrugged without getting noticed.
Purvi looked at them and then asked to Daya " sir Sonty ne kuch bola?"
"Kuch bolne ko taiyaar nahi hai woh" Daya negatively responded.
"Hum ek baar try kare?" Asked Ishita this time.
"Who?" Abhijeet questioned her back.
"Me and Purvi" she replied.
"No!" Mayur exclaimed.
And every one looked at him and that poor soul earned a glare from Purvi and Ishita.
"Kya hua Mayur?" Asked Pankaj this time.
"N- nahi sir w-woh main toh yeh chip ke liye bol rha tha. Yeh Hack nahi ho rahi isliye" He managed to tell a believable lie. And everyone believed it as well.
"Thik hai tum log jao andar" Abhijeet said turning towards Ishita who was standing in last.
"Sir m-main bhi jau inke saath?" Mayur put forward his question. And Ishita galred him.
"Chip kon hack karega?" Dushyant asked.
"Sir abhi kuch nahi ho rha.. kabse try kar rha hu. Thoda sa break le lunga isse fir wapis try karta hu na. Please air" He begged.
"Okay." Daya said and Mayur smiled.
"Kya jarurat thi terko hamare saath aane ki?" Purvi barked at Mayur when he was doing something in his phone while standing outside the interrogation room.
"Cheif se baat kar le hum pehle?" Asked Mayur while waiting for their Chief to answer the call.
"Phone speaker pe rakh tu pehle" Ishita said in a taunting manner and Mayur kept the phone on speaker giving her look.
"Ayush dimag kharab hai kya tera?" Purvi said as soon as their chief picked the call.
"Terpe mujhe bilkul bharosa nahi rha."
"Toh tu ab merpe nazar rakhwayega. Meri har ek activity ko track karega?"
"Maybe Haan."
"Dimag naa kharab kar tu mera aur jitne apne aadmiyon ko bola hai mera picha karne ko sabko manaa kar" Purvi barked in the phone.
"Tu teri harkatein sudhar le."
"Jo sahi tha woh kiya maine"
"Tere baare mein sabko pta chal gya"
"Bakiyon ke baare mein bhi chal jayega"
"Kyaaaa" Ayush, the chief shouted.
"Raiyta fail gayaa hai"
"Matlab kya hai tera"
"Shaam ko milte hai" said Purvi and hung up.
"Kavin, kaha gaye ho tum? I hope safe ho tum. Bureau mein bhi nahi tha. Gya kaha aakhir yeh" Purvi thought before entering the Interrogation room.
"Sab ne koshish kar li, kuch nahi bataunga aur na hi tum log pta lga paoge ki uss chip mein kya hai. Khulegi hi nahi tujhse" Sonty said as soon as Purvi and Ishita sat on the chairs present in the room along the table and Mayur sat on the table facing Sonty.
"Teri galat femi hai yeh." Mayur smirked making all of them glance at him with a jerk.
"Matlab kya hai tera?" Asked Ishita.
"Chip hack ho gayi" and all three cops smiled wide and looked and Sonty who had a horrified expression on his face.
"J-jhuthh bol rhe ho tum" Sonty uttered somehow.
"Main kabhi jhuth nhi bolta" Mayur said looking at him "ab bta aakhir Siya or Hayat kaha hai?"
"Mujhe nahi pta" Sonty replied.
"Jhuth mat bol" Ishita threatened.
"Sach bol rha hu" Sonty replied.
"Fir kisko pta hai? Seedhe seedhe puch rahe hai bol de" Purvi barked at him holding him from collar.
"A-ajay ko" Sonty said in a frightened voice.
"Yeh kon hai?" Mayur asked.
"Asim ka right hand" Purvi replied leaving Sonty and thinking something. And making Ishita look at her with some fear.
"Kya soch rahi hai?" Ishita asked breaking the silence spread into the room after the disclosure of Ajay.
"Purane panne wapis kholne padenge. Woh sab kuch wapis dhundhna padega" Purvi replied.
"Kolkata?" Ishita said and Purvi nodded closing her eyes.
Outside the Interrogation Room
"Kuch bola woh?" Freddy asked as soon as Purvi, Ishita and Mayur entered the bureau and they told them about Ajay.
"Ab kya karna hai?" Asked Nikhil.
"Kolkata jaana hoga" Daya said.
"Jayegaa kon?" Abhijeet asked.
"Dushyant and Kavin" Ishita said and all of them agreed cause after all they knew about him more. Daya told them that he will inform all this to ACP sir as he wasn't present there because at the end time, DCP asked him to come to attend a meeting.
"Kavin or Dushyant ko main" Abhijeet said.
"Par woh dono hai kaha?" Asked Shreya looking everywhere inside the bureau.
"Kaha gaye yeh log?" Ishita worriedly asked.
"Saath mein honge shayad" Pankaj said to lighten the tensed environment. Purvi was very worried for them and it was visible on her face. She left the bureau silently.
Kavin's house
Kavin was sitting on the couch hanging his head low when suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Kya yaar Dush, tujhe kaise pta chala yaha hu" he said controlling his tears
"Tujhe tujhse acche se janta hu" Dushyant replied sitting near him ok the couch.
"Bohot din ho gaye, tere haath ka kuch khaya nahi yaar" Kavin said and looked at him while smiling.
"Saale tu Kabhi sudhrega nahi" Dushyant smiled and patted his back and got up to make something for his best-friend cum brother.
"Jaake fresh ho jaa be kutte, shakal dekh ke lg rha hai ki Devdas uth ke aa gaya kahi se" Dush said before entering into the kitchen. Kavin laughed at him and went into washroom. He washed his face and stood leaning against the wall. He sighed and and went outside after sometime.
Coming down he went into kitchen, just to get shocked after looking at the condition of the kitchen. Peeled vegetables scattered on the kitchen platform and floor, bread crumbs and cheese in a messed up way laying on the platform.
"Kuttee, Kaminee, kya haal karaa hai tune yeh? Saale khaana banana bhool gaya kya tu?" He shouted.
"Arey woh, woh Ishi se baat karte karte bna rha tha toh yeh sab ho gaya" Dush said defending himself and laughing nervously.
"Saalee, teriii"
"Khaa le pehle, saaf kar denge milke" Dush said making him look at the cheese sandwich kept there. Kv looked at them and nodded cause after all bhookh toh lagi hi hai.
They sat on the dining table and proceed to eat.
"Yaar tasty toh hai" Kv said.
"Fir" Dush replied "ab bta kya hua?"
"Yaar, Purvi... Mujhe samjh nahi aa rha aakhir kya karu uska main. Care bhi karti hai, pyaar bhi karti hai, lekin maan na nahi hai usse; door rehna hai mujhse, aakhir kyu?" He said playing with the food in his plate.
"Kv yaar, dekh jis situation mein woh fassi hai uske wajah se aesa react kr rhi hai. Tu tension mat le, kuch nahi hoga, sab thik ho jayega jaldii" Dush assured his best-friend. Kv just smiled at him.
"Tu yaha kaise?" Kavin asked getting up from his seat and went to kitchen to keep the plate.
"Kolkata jaana padega" He said and Kavin looked at him shocked and Dushyant explained him everything Abhijeet told him which happened into bureau.
"Shit mahn, wapis" Kavin said thinking deep.
"Par yeh Asim wapis kaise aa gay?" Kavin asked
"Kuch samjh nahi aa rha yaar..." Dush replied.
"Kolkata kab jaana hai?" Kv asked.
"Kal" Dush said and they again thought of their past.
Past, something no one wants to witness again or think of again if it has sorrow and pain in it; if it holds happiness, it's worth remembering but again if the moments are with someone who isn't with us then, it will be painfull once again for sure. Life gives us moments to cherish forever but when those moments start to haunt us they turned out to be a regret. Hold on to things, Cherish them, be satisfied with whatever you have, Stay Happy, let things go wrong and if they hurts you then let them go; never hold on to things which hurts you.
