Summary: Who knew that dreams really did come true? It was as if reality itself was a dream...and perhaps...it is, because Naruto could honestly say...his dreams had turned into a beautiful reality.

"The colors are dancing..."
Kagome turned and smiled, looking back at Naruto who was laying back and watching the colors above them move in a beautiful and soundless dance. It was stunning, the communion of red, greens and blues. She looked back up and let go of her sorrows. Enjoying the silence of the scenery, she knew it wouldn't last long, it never did, but she didn't mind.
"What is it called? The colors in the sky, are they like a moving rainbow?" Naruto turned his eyes to Kagome as he stared at the girl, he'd spent the last few weeks dreaming of. It was amazing, that he'd only just started to see her in his dreams was a shame.
"Not quite, it's called the Aurora Borealis. It's really an amazing sight..." she smiled at him, "hey, how is your training going?"
Naruto shrugged, "it's actually going really well, sort of...I mean, I want to do harder missions, which...I guess is silly...huh?"
Kagome rolled over onto her stomach and stared curiously at the blonde, "why do you want to do harder missions?"
"To get stronger! If I can get stronger, then people will know I'm serious, and I can and will protect them and this village! I want to become the next Hokage...the Greatest Hokage!"
Kagome smiled, "then keep working hard, Naruto. You'll get there...I believe it!"
Blushing as he heard his catchphrase slip past the older girls' lips, Naruto turned away as he sat up and nodded his head. "Yeah, I'll definitely get there!"
"Naruto!"
Kagome turned around to see where this new voice was sounding from.
"Oh...that's Sakura!"
"Time for you to go then?" She asked curiously.
Naruto nodded sadly, "I'm on a mission now,"
"Naruto, wake up!"
"Then tell me about it when you fall to sleep next?"
Smiling, Naruto laughed lightly before he nodded his head, "I'll see you again soon, Kagome!"
She watched his form fade from the dream world, and as it slipped away, she felt her own consciousness start to slip away. "...it's too bad...I can't see this world you are in. Ninja's and Healers...Demons and Missions." She smiled, "sounds like fun. I'm sure it's not as fun as it sounds though...even Naruto, I'm sure will come to realize that such a lifestyle will cause him heartache too."
"Mama! Mama, Rin is sick!"
The cause of her consciousness slipping away was made known, no longer simply being shaken awake as the voice of her son pushed past her mind's barrier. Waking up to the reality that was her life.

Naruto pulled out a small notebook and pencil while the others made sure that there was nothing that they were forgetting. He turned to a page was some writing and he quickly scribbled a small note to himself before closing the book and turning his attention onto Sasuke who was watching him curiously for a moment.
"You still having those dreams?" He asked under his breath as Naruto picked up his pack from next to Sasuke.
Naruto grinned, "yeah...I am." He had talked to Sasuke about his dreams, and the girl he'd never met or seen before those dreams. She had been such an enigma and then Naruto had started to get so lost in thought that it was affecting the team. Sakura had tried talking to him, but Naruto found himself growing irritated with her pushy and overbearing personality. When Sasuke came to his apartment one day and asked to talk and hangout, it had been such a shock, Naruto let him in. They had talked for hours into the night and he'd told him all about the girl and the weird dreams.
At first, Sasuke hadn't been sure of what to think. The dreams were strange to him, but this girl talked about things they'd never heard of. Japan...for one thing. Yeah...that was weird. She described it to Naruto and Naruto had tried his best to describe it to Sasuke. He had vividly described the girls looks though, that was easily done when he did a clone transformation Jutsu, changing into the beautiful woman. Sasuke would talk with him every night about the dreams, or...well, he listened to them, and wondered if they truly were real, or just a fantastical dreamland that Naruto had been able to escape to nightly.
"We were looking at something called the Aurora Borealis..."
Sasuke frowned, "what's that?"
Naruto smiled, "good, I'm not alone then! It's when the lights in the sky dance and move around. I don't really know how best to explain it...I wish you could have seen it though. It was amazing..."
Sasuke thought about that, 'lights in the sky that move around?' He sighed, "too bad I can't meet her too..."
Naruto shrugged as the two caught up to Sakura and Kakashi who were up ahead.

Kagome stared down at Rin as her fingers brushed her bangs out of the small girls' eyes. She had a fever, but nothing to severe. It wouldn't take too long for her to get better, but the chill in the air surely wasn't helping. She turned her eyes to Jaken, "gather a few wool blankets, to help her fight off this cold."
"Right away, Lady Kagome!"
Shippou watched from the other side of Rin, "she's gonna be okay, right mama?"
A slight nod of her head had the boy grinning, "good!"
"Shh," she brought a finger to her lips as she silenced his excitement. "Not too loud, Shippou." Kagome looked outside and noted the sun starting to peek over the hills of the Western Lands. "You should go and eat, it's time for breakfast. I'm going to go and make Rin something to eat too..." she stood as Shippou nodded and Jaken entered the room with the warm blankets. Helping him cover the young girl, she smiled and turned to Jaken. "Watch over her, I'll be back with some porridge for her."
He bowed as she left the room and she made her way in the direction of the kitchen down stairs. 'I hope she feels better soon...poor Rin...'
