Here is another short chapter!
This is more a filler chapter before the big meeting with the rest of the Avengers minus Thor since he went off to find answers of his own. The next chapter is going to go straight to the part where Ultron has taken control over Helen Cho's mind and the twins and Bella find out Ultron's real plan.

Chapter 16: One Simple Idea
After a while, Clint and Laura turned off his laptop and decided to contact Fury. Only the former director of SHIELD was already waiting for them in the farm. Laura went out and asked Tony if he could look at their tractor. The one where Clint doesn't want to give up and get a new one. So, when Fury showed up to the house with Tony following behind him, Clint and Fury went into his makeshift office. Laura was already there waiting for them. She had already showed Natasha the files Now, she's keeping the kids occupied while she and Clint discuss the new development. Clint let Fury in first and closed the door behind him. Fury walked over to Laura with a smile and gave the six-month pregnant woman a warm hug.
"It's good to see you Laura." Fury said. Laura hugged back with a small smile.
"You too, Nick. Wished it was under better circumstances." She said in a sorrowful voice. Nick heard from Maria about the Swan girl case. Decided to look at the case file. He was intrigued. So, he took on the case. Travel to Forks, Washington and found little answers. The former director of SHIELD something else that came to his attention.
"Bella gave you this?" Nick asked as he held the thumb drive between his thumb and index fingers. Clint nodded.
"After Pietro knocked me through a window and down in another room, Bella came to me knowing that I care about Wanda. She gave me the thumb drive and told me that I could give them the justice they deserve." Clint explained. Nick turned to look at Laura.
"And you remembered Bella Swan is your sister's daughter?" Nick asked. Laura nodded and sniffed a little.
"I know my relationship with my sister is rather odd, but occasionally, she would send a little telling me that her family is great and send a photo of her daughter. Renee would talk about how precious Bella is. She would send a school photo of Bella in every letter." Laura explained and crossed her arms over her round belly.
"Do you have a recent photo of Miss. Swan?" Nick asked and Laura already had it out. She uncrossed her arms and reached for the photo of Bella in her junior year of high school.
"This was the last photo of her I got in the last letter from Renee. After that, the letters stopped." Laura said. Nick looked at the photo. He could see the innocence in Bella's dark brown eyes. She looked younger, but still retained her innocence beauty. It's no wonder Strucker found her. He used her innocence's against her. Strucker had given her hope. He used that to forward his cause to Bella.
"After losing her father in the bombs, Strucker finds her and gives her shelter. He used the Maximoff twins to get inside her head. To plant one simple idea. Strucker's idea. Gives this girl an opportunity of revenge. Hook line and sinker, she agrees. Not knowing what the consequences are." Nick simplifies by looking at one photo of Bella Swan. Laura crosses her arms again over her rounded belly and looked away. Clint sighs and ran his hand through his hair.
"We need to release this." Both Nick and Laura look at Clint. "Bella said 'give us the justice we deserve.' She wants me to release these files of all the people who didn't make it through the experiments. None of those people survived and I bet that most of those people even had a choice. Strucker manipulated half of these people including Bella and the Maximoff Twins. Bella knew that." Clint explained and put his hands on his hips. "These are just kids, Nick. They were forced into this war." He said.
"The Maximoff Twins knew what they were doing. They are the ones who volunteered. I know about the mission I sent you on was to monitor Strucker and I know you grew attached towards the twins. I know you regret not getting them out in time, but they already want Stark dead for killings of their people and their parents. They might be beyond saving, Clint." Nick explained to his former agent but saw that he wasn't going to back down. He can understand why Clint formed at attachment to the twins. They reminded him of himself. The archer shook his head.
"I can't give up on them, Nick." Clint looked at his former boss. "I'm sorry. There's still good in the twins. You asked me to find out what Strucker was up too and I did. These kids including Bella are the reason why we avenge them. So, let me avenge them." Clint pleaded with Nick. The former director gave out a sigh knowing his former agent will not back down.
"Then they are your responsibility, Clint." Nick said then grabbed the laptop with the thumb drive attached to the port on the side of the computer. "I believe we have a team meeting the kitchen." He said and walked out the makeshift office of Clint's. Laura walked over to her husband and wrapped her arms around his waist. Clint responded by wrapped his arms around her shoulders and gently kissed the crown of her head.
"One step closer." Laura said as she rests her head against Clint's chest listening to his heartbeat.
"We're gonna bring them home."
