Samira and Hermione finished telling their story at the Squad and Emma, Hermione's mother.
The latter was furious against the school's staff that they endangered children by not doing anything to prevent the disasters.
The whole Squad now had a lot of respect for Samira, after she told them everything she had gone through. And all wished to kill the Dursleys, for they may be criminals but all of them were disgusted by child abuse. And all of them wanted to kick Snape's ass.
" You have such a screwed life, Sam." Bronze Tiger said
" If anyone want my opinion, I say this stink of backstabbing." Cheetah said
" What do you mean, Cheetah ? " Boomerang asked
" She means that's it's no coincidence that all those events, happens each time Sam goes to that school : The "traps" that protected the stone were traps that could be passed if you had the right skills.
You two were excellent students and a good Flyer. And your buddy is a chess prodigy." Slade said
" Are you saying that Dumbledore hided the stone at Hogwarts, just to test me ?!" Sam asked
" Precisely, Sam. And I seriously doubt that he never found out what petrified students in 50 years or that he couldn't grant your Godfather a trial, when he is president of that wizengamot and that confederation of wizards. " Cheetah said
" And I know the goblet of fire, you could have retired from that tournament at any time before the first task. " Jason Blood said
For Sam and Hermione, it was punches in the gut : All that they have done, all those dangers, were for nothing.
" How could that old bastard do this to us ? " Sam asked
" I am no psychologist but I try a guess : He wanted you to be easily manipulated so that he could use you to finish Voldemort and push you to become a leader to the wizard and rule through you. Or he could get rid of you and proclaimed himself greatest savior of them all." Scandal stated
Sam was furious against Dumbledore and that she walked right into his trap. Well, that would never reproduce.
For Hermione, that was the last straw. No more would she blindly trust authority figures.
Katana's sword suddenly began to move in Sam's direction, more exactly her scar. She moved towards Sam.
" Katana, what are you doing ? " Vixen asked
" My sword detected a soul that shouldn't be in Sam." Katana answered before placing the tip of the sword on Sam's scar.
A dark mist was extracted from the scar and was absorbed into the sword, screaming.
" What the hell was that ?! " Bolt asked
" Something that should never exist : That's called an horcrux. It's a soul fragment that is separated from the rest of the soul when an evil wizard kill an innocent in cold blood. " Jason said, with disgust
" So that's how he survived that night, and why I could talk to snakes and see in his mind." Sam guessed before remembering something " And I am sure the shade from the diary was another. And that Dumbledore knew about it."
" And we know Voldemort fear death so I don't think he made only one." Hermione said
" Don't know, don't care since we have a mean to ensure this time he will stay dead." Manta said, pointing Katana's sword
" Girls, I have a mean so you can use magic without the ministry finding out about you." Jason said before giving them bracelets. " Place them on your wrists and the spell will activate."
" Thanks, Mister Blood." The girls said before they put them on
But doing so they were filled by an horrible sensation of burning and they fainted, but were caught by Deadshot and Knockout.
" Sam, Hermione ! " Emma yelled
" Blood ! What did you do ?! " Black Spider yelled
" I don't know what happened, this wasn't supposed to do that." Jason defended
" Well if Johnny arrive, it's you who explain." Harley said
The girls were carried in the bedroom and were watched by Emma, Harley and Ivy.
( two hours later )
The girls awoke and saw they were in beds. Emma hugged them.
" Hermione, Sam ! I was so worried ! " she said
" Moooom, not in front of Sam." Hermione said, blushing
Sam forced herself to not look in her direction but she then saw her reflection in a mirror, which shocked her.
" Why do I have red hairs ? " she asked " And how can I see without glasses?"
" We don't know, but the others are interrogating Bloody. And Constantine arrived" Harley said
The 5 girls went in the living room where everyone turned towards them
" Ah you are awoke you two. I thought Constantine was going to burn the manor with us in it when he learned what happened." Livewire said
" Hello girls, John Constantine, Warlock. " John said
" Hello Mister." the girls said
" I think I can explain what happened to you : When you put on the bracelets, it broke binds on your magic, giving you really powerful abilities that I found by taking a bit of your blood. But who did that I don't know. " Constantine said before giving them a paper where were written : control of elements (fire, water, Air, Earth, light, Darkness ); animorphism ; wandless and wordless magic; animal imitation.
" The superpowers are cool and I have an idea of someone powerful enough to do this : Dumbledore. " Sam said, making her and Hermione angry, resulting in fire running along their arms.
When they realised this, they stopped, fearing an accident.
" Okay, anyone here know how to control all of this without causing a disaster ? " Hermione asked
" Let us show you, we were in your place when we first had our powers. " Nightshade said, before she led them outside, followed by Vixen, Livewire, Ivy and Frost.
At this moment, Clayface returned from his mission.
" Clayface, so what did you learnt ? " Vertigo asked
" Voldy and his followers will attack the prison of Azkaban and free the death eaters tomorrow in the evening. And after this they will attack the new minister of magic at her house." Basil Karlo said
" Okay, we need to prepare a strategy to take them down." Cheshire said
" Why defend their targets, when we can make the death eaters come for nothing and trap them ? " Slade asked
" You have a plan, Deathstroke." Giganta said
" Indeed, I say we go to Amelia Bones now to transfer her and her niece here, and we kill the death eaters in Azkaban. Then when Voldemort's goons arrive, we attack them." Deathstroke said
" Not bad your plan, Slade." Copperhead said, smirking
( Outside )
Hermione, ever the excellent student, followed the heroines and villains instructions and soon learnt how to control her new powers. After this, she helped Sam, who struggled more.
" I am impressed, Hermione. You and Sam learn fast." Nightshade said
" Well, Hermione has always been the brains of the two of us. It's her who taught me to think before leaping. " Sam said, smirking at Hermione
" Maybe, but it's you who taught me to trust instincts. " Hermione responded
" Then you are a great team. In more ways than one. " Ivy said with a teasing smirk
The two girls blushed when understanding what Pamela meant. But they turned towards each other, took hands and then kissed each other.
" Pay up, Vixen. " Nightshade said, extending an open hand
Vixen took 10 dollards and place them in Nightshade's hands.
Just then, Harley arrived.
" Girls, no more lovey-dovey stuff, we have work to do." Harley said
Everyone returned in the manor where Clayface explained the situation and Slade told them his plan.
" Let us come with you to Mrs Bones home. Maybe she will listen to us more easily." Samira said
" She does have a point." Bolt said
" Fine, Sam, Hermione, Vixen, Scandal, Knockout, Slade and myself will go to Bones. Another group will go to Azkaban and do what you do best." Constantine said
( Bones Manor )
Amelia Bones just finished classing a lot of papers and was really tired. After the prime minister named her minister of magic, she had to clean up all of Fudge's screw-ups, like all laws he passed with briberies of Malfoy.
That squad the muggle minister told her about was really effective at ending the death eaters and she saw wanted to meet them. One of the aurors raids found whole groups dead, either in a pub or at Hermione's Granger home. And the deaths could have only being made by muggles means, except for Alan Selwyn who had been burned by Hellfire, from observations.
Suddenly, she heard wards ring, announcing arrivals. Cautious, she took her wand and opened the door and saw Samira Potter and Hermione Granger, with three women and two men, one who she remembered all too well.
" Good evening, Mrs Bones. Can we talk with you ? It is really important." Sam said
" Of course, enter while I settle my score with Mister Constantine. " Amelia said
Sam, Hermione and the others entered while Amelia slapped John on the face.
" Now we are even for the last time we met, John." Amelia said
" I missed you too, Amy." Constantine snarked
Hermione and Sam explained the situation to Amelia and her niece Susan. Amelia agreed with the plan and were teleported to the base.
( On Azkaban's island )
Nightshade, Katana, Killer Frost, Cheshire, Clayface, Black Spider and Copperhead teleported on the side of the island.
Dementors sensed them and went to them but Nightshade formed shadows on her hands, startling the cloaked creatures. Then one of them pointed Katana's sword, recognizing the one that absorbed his brethren. The dementors allowed them to go to the warden's office.
" You felt the cold when near them, aren't you ? " Frost said
" Yeah, and I feel like I will never be happy." Black Spider said
" The one who created this place must have been an idiot or a pure sadist." Cheshire said
They arrived to the warden's office where he was reading papers. Cheshire took out her sword and held it against his throat.
" You will lead us to the death eaters or I will have to slit your throat." Cheshire threatened him
The warden complied and led them to the imprisoned death eaters : Dolohov, Rookwood, Jugson, Mulciber, Travers, Rowle, Gibbon, and the three Lestrange, Rabastan, Rodolphus and Bellatrix .
But he revealed that Bellatrix wasn't really a death eater : She was controlled by a powerful loyalty potion that Rodolphus made her drink in the first wizarding war. He also revealed that it was Severus Snape who brew that potion. And she was still under control for the warden made her drink it in her meals.
Everyone was disgusted by it, proving once again they had standards.
Frost, Clayface, Cheshire and Black Spider entered the cell and were greeted by insults.
But they ignored them and killed the death eaters by impaling them, beating them to death or poisonning them.
Nightshade freed Bellatrix who was too exhausted to do anything.
" I did what you ordered me to do, now let me go." Begged the warden
" After what you did to an innocent woman, you don't deserve to live." Copperhead said before clawing his throat.
The group then returned outside and teleported to the base.
( base manor )
Sam, Hermione and the others had brought back Amelia and Susan to the manor where the two Bones met the Squad.
" I never thought I would met a sizeshifter, a were-cat, a dryad, a were-shark, a were-croc, or an electromancian." Amelia said
" Better get used to it now, Amy. Because they are only a small part of what is at home." Constantine said
" Sam, Hermione, I am so grateful you and these people saved our lives." Susan thanked
" Think nothing of it, Susan." Sam said
At this moment, the group of Azkaban returned, with Black Spider carrying an unconscious Bellatrix in his arms. Amelia wanted to curse her but Frost, Nightshade and Katana explained the situation. Amelia wanted to curse Snape into oblivion since he was the only one still alive in this mess.
Meanwhile, Sam and Hermione returned to train in the courtyard, with an amazed Susan as a spectator.
( Malfoy Manor )
Narcissa Malfoy hadn't shed a tear at her husband's death for she never loved him. The only reason she stayed with him was the hope of raising their son, Draco, to be a good man.
But Lucius overruled her at every turn, and the result was a spoiled, self-centered, stupid brat who thought the world turned around him. And the favoritism of Snape at Hogwarts worsened things.
How she wished she had a child like Samira Potter. From what she heard from McGonagall, the young girl was intelligent, generous, humble,very polite and fought her own battles. Maybe she broke some rules, but only when rules were less important than doing the right thing.
Suddenly she felt a warm feeling through her beings and she knew what it means : her sibling bond with Bellatrix was back, meaning she was out of Azkaban, and returned to normal.
She called upon the only one who could help her.
" Kreacher." she said
A apparating crack was heard and with it a house elf who looked like he had seen better days.
" Mistress Cissy, you called upon Kreacher ? " Kreacher asked
" Yes, my old friend. Could you localize Bellatrix and take me too her ? " Cissy asked
" Kreacher will do this at once, mistress Cissy." Kreacher said before taking his mistress hand and apparating with her.
Note : After big fights and characters meeting each other in the previous chapters, this one had an assassination mission and preparation of a trap. And revelations on the old man and the past years and Sam and Hermione becoming super.
And yes, in this fic, Cissy and Bella are good guys. Don't worry, Snape will have his just desserts.
Next chapter the traps will be triggered and the Order will finally meet the Squad.
