Our Mega Christmas tale begins one cold, wintery and December night where we find super fighting robot hero Mega Man engaged in battle with the unhinged and vile Doctor Wily and his robot forces once again.
It was December 24th, the night before Christmas and Doctor Wily had initiated a new world domination scheme he intended to carry out before Christmas Day. Mega Man was on the job as he had been, ever since the day of his first confrontation with Wily himself.
Wily sat in the pilot's seat of his Snow Devil Machine, a robot shaped like a towering, demonic version of the legendary Santa Claus, a vile smile on his face as he anticipated what he expected to be his looming victory.
Outside the robot on the ground, Mega Man fought tirelessly against the hordes of Wily robots from Santa Joes (holiday-themed Sniper Joes), star-shaped flying robots known as Starons and a few new Robot Masters from Santa Man to Elf Man to Rudolph Man.
The blue battle/helper robot shot down every last Staron and other flying robot he could shoot down and swiftly evaded every attack from the holiday-themed Robot Masters, his combat skills had improved for quite some time, making him more efficient than ever.
Mega Man found a weakness in Santa Man in the form of his nose and fired a fully charged shot from his Mega Buster, hitting the Santa Claus-y robot and disabling him, allowing the heroic robot to copy Santa Man's Present Bomb.
Dodging an easy to avoid Elf Hammer throw from Elf Man, Mega Man equipped Present Bomb mode and tossed a bomb disguised as a Christmas present right at the elf-ish robot, the explosive detonated in Elf Man's face, blasting his head off and ensuring his defeat.
Rudolph Man was the only robot remaining, this robot was somewhat modeled after a reindeer with a red nose, but he also looked like a humanoid/andromorphic version of the famous Rudolph, hence the fact he stood on two legs with two arms.
The humanoid reindeer robot's nose glowed bright red and orange-red laser beams shot forth at Mega Man, just as the Blue Bomber was copying Elf Hammer from what remained of Elf man. The hero bot noticed the incoming lasers and got out of the way just in time.
Finding another opening, Mega Man equipped Elf Hammer and threw a boomerang-like hammer at Rudolph Man and destroyed the legs, knocking him down, before activating his Mega Buster and blasted him to pieces.
With both Wily bots destroyed, the super fighting robot focused on dealing with the attacking Wily, aiming for the cannons on the robot while utilizing two Present Bombs, successfully crippling the Snow Devil Machine.
"NO NO NO!" Doctor Wily wailed, slamming his fists on the control console and drawing sparks, he could not believe that he was being bested by Mega Man again and on Christmas too. For the insane doctor, it wasn't fair, victory was supposed to be his by now.
Mega Man super-charged his Mega Buster, seeing that Wily's Snow Devil Machine was now somewhat defenseless, took aim and fired off as many shots as he could right at the horned head of the mechanical beast.
The shots struck home, bringing the mech crashing down as Wily flew off in his Wily UFO, screaming with rage and again declaring his hatred of Mega Man. With the battle over, the blue bomber observed the snowy scenery and the broken robots he was leaving behind.
Now that Wily's scheme was taken care of, Rock could rejoice Christmas with his family. Activating his teleportation feature, the blue bomber teleported out of the frosty countryside near Wily's Fortress and headed back to Light Labs.
Doctor Light, Roll and Auto were relaxing together, having just completed set up for their Light Labs Christmas party. Everything was in place, the tree, wreaths, lights and everything else. Doctor Light was a great decorator, especially when he was assisted by robots.
Proto Man was there as well, standing in a corner along with Bass, waiting for Mega Man to show up. Rush was curled up, asleep like a normal dog, next to Tango the robot cat. Beat the robot bird was perched on a desk, resting. Eddie was in standby mode as well.
A bright blue flash of light in the room went off briefly, attracting the attention of Light Labs' occupants as Mega Man arrived and changed back into civilian mode, returning to his standard Rock Light persona with the normal black-haired kid in normal shirt and pants.
"Ah yeah!" Auto cried happily in a half organic voice, "Rock the Mega Man is back, baby! How did your Christmas fight with Wily go?"
Rock chuckled as he high fived his excited robot fan, "It went well, I beat Wily again and sent him packing all the way back to his fortress as I took down his Snow Devil Robot."
"Glad your battle went smoothly." Doctor Light hugged his robot boy, "Now that you're back, why don't we get started on our Light family Christmas party?"
With nothing to ruin the festive mood, the Light family spent the evening having drinks, opening a couple gifts and listening to some Christmas Karoke provided by Guts Man, who'd managed to perfectly sing several well-known Christmas songs.
As for the gifts, Rock got a Light Labs sweater, Roll received a cute Japanese dress and Rush got himself a special robot dog bone that he could play with all day any day at any time. All was jolly and festive at Light Labs, Christmas made a lot of people happy.
In fact, what made things more fun was that Doctor Light almost looked like Santa Claus due to his big beard, allowing him to emulate Santa perfectly on a few occasions throughout the party, asking Rock and Roll, who sat on his lap, what their holiday wishes were.
The Christmas fun lasted until the clock struck eleven thirty, half an hour until midnight, signaling that it was time to rest and settle down. Rock and his robot sister helped Doctor Light clean up while most of the robot guests went into sleep mode until tomorrow.
With clean up done, both Roll and Rock saw their creator off to bed and shut out the lights as they too headed to their rooms to sleep as well. Before Light fell asleep, he gave a quiet chuckle and muttered, "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night."
