AN: Hello everyone. I am sorry that I have not been updating this story but when walking's involved in your job, ideas for a fluff piece just enter your head whenever. I will move my other one-shots that I haven't updated onto here as well.
It was a beautiful Saturday morning with a breeze in the air as the mother of Percy Jackson walked her son over to the petting area of the zoo. "Here you go Percy, be careful not to hurt the animals." She said, handing the child some feed in a small bag.
Watching him enter the area, her eyes glanced at a black colt, rustling what looked like baby wings. Seeing Percy run around on his short legs made her smile as the colt came to him, nuzzling its nose on him. After feeding his new friend, the colt kneeled, allowing the child to ride him.
Percy giggled and climbed onto the steed, allowing the two to approach the rider's mother. "I made a friend mommy." Percy told his mother as the colt nuzzled against her hand.
"Is her name black beauty?" She asked as her child giggled and the creature shook its head.
"No, he's a boy. I think I'll call him Jack."
"How about Blackjack. With his coat being black." His mother replied as the baby horse nodded its head with a neigh and a hoof stomp.
"He said he likes it." Percy removed himself from his steed as he made his way to his mother. As he neared the gate, the colt got his attention and bowed to him. Not noticing Sally's hand forming a claw over her heart, little Percy ran over and wrapped his arms around the creature's neck.
As mother and child walked away, a zookeeper with sea-green eyes smiled at them and petted the colt's mane.
