A/N: The whole ep vs The Crown Vic…it bothers the crap out of me. The lying that Sarah is forced to do, Chuck listening to everyone talk about Morgan and it's really a commentary on his life. We've always used the Nerd Herd as comedy relief in the past, but some of them are competent, in fact, there are things you absolutely can count on them for and the idea got in my head what would they do if one of them was getting the raw end of the deal. Is the CIA and NSA prepared to deal with it? This is NOT an everyone get Chuck and Sarah together story, this is, Chuck is going to his strengths, his friends, and fight with what he knows, who he knows, and the feelings he knows Sarah has. It will be insane, so hang on, Sarah and Casey vs The Nerd Herd, Ch 1

Disclaimer: I do not own Chuck,

What happened was a mistake. One I won't make again.

Did that start everything? Was that the sentence that began it all? Or was it all already in motion and that was the tipping point? Regardless, it was that sentence that played in his mind over and over. Whatever he thought they had, he was wrong, whatever he thought she felt, she didn't. Whatever he thought…he just shouldn't any more. He looked down at the watch on his wrist and his phone, and laid them both on the table. He needed to be away tonight, away from the spying, away from the lying, just away. He went to get in the herder and knew it was bugged. He walked down to the bus stop, and got on, with no idea where he was going…that wasn't true, he knew where he was going, and why, but he shouldn't.

Thirty minutes later he found himself at the Marina, and before he could find him, he heard his name being called, his buddy was there. His bearded buddy. Morgan asked if he was okay, and for the first time in a long time, Chuck told the truth. He wasn't okay. Yes that was Sarah Morgan had seen, but it didn't matter, they weren't together, not really. Anna was standing there listening, watching the two of them. She got Chuck a drink, and then another, both her and Morgan, getting wide eyed at all the things Chuck was saying.

He awoke the next morning, in a bed he didn't recognize, in a room that looked like a luxury hotel room. Morgan was sitting in a chair staring at him. Chuck was gonna have to talk to him about how absolutely creepy that was. That was where it all began. That was when Morgan said those famous words that threw the NSA and CIA into a turmoil it was not prepared for…

"Dude, you got a CIA spy to fall in love with you!" Chuck stared at Morgan wide-eyed. "I knew you had it in you! You have graduated from the minors to the majors my friend. Sarah Walker is lightyears better that that troll who must not be named."

"CIA?" Chuck asked, trying to remember what all he said last night. "What are you talking about?"

"Anna, you were right, he's trying to deny it all," Morgan yelled. Anna came through the door where Chuck saw there was a room across the way. Apparently there was a suite and Chuck wondered who was paying for all of this.

"It makes so much sense, she's way to good for the Weinerlicious, and Casey….Morgan, no offense, but that man is packed into that uniform."

"None taken, he has a jaw like granite," Morgan agreed.

"I've told him as much," Chuck added, falling into the Morgan rabbit hole. "But what does Sarah and Casey have to do with the CIA?"

"Casey's NSA," Anna said, waggling her eyebrows. "Chuck, don't do this. Let us help you. You've been in this all alone, but now, now we can help you. You are our leader, and it made no sense for you to bolt on the Ass Man interview, but now it makes perfect sense."

"Jeff is prepared to have your child if it helps," Morgan added.

"It doesn't," Chuck said to Morgan. "In fact, it makes it worse." Morgan just shrugged. "Guys, I can't involve you, it's dangerous, and besides, Morgan, you detest work."

"This isn't work," Morgan argued. "This is helping my best buddy getting the girl that loves him to admit it. It makes so much sense in her world she has to keep everything in."

"Absolutely," Anna added. "You need us, we follow your lead. And we can totally get that Lon Kirk guy back." Chuck sat there for a minute and thought, it would be nice for once to have the upper hand, to know what was going on, to play this game on his terms.

"You promise if I tell you to back off for safety reasons you will?" he asked. They nodded. And they did…because he was the only one caught in the explosion.

"What the hell happened?!" Beckman screamed.

"We don't know," Casey admitted. "Chuck went off on his own."

"That's it, we're putting him under 24 hour guard, Agent Walker, you will be moving in with the asset."

"Uh, General, that may not work," Sarah said, swallowing. "General, the asset has developed…feelings for me." Beckman pinched the bridge of her nose. "It may be best for me to be reassigned."

"Negative, Agent Walker," Graham replied.

"Director….I am compromised," Sarah replied. Casey turned to her, open-mouthed. "I-I kissed Chuck when I thought both of us were going to die. We thought the device that contained Bryce was a bomb and we were going to die, and I kissed him."

"Negative, Agent Walker," Graham said again.

"Director….you need to reassign me," Sarah all but begged. "I'm in love with him and it's-"

"Agent Walker, would you let anything happen to him?" Graham asked. Casey grunted, amused. Sarah gave him a look. "I'll take it from your partner's response and your lack of one you won't. Agents, there is a threat coming from within named Fulcrum and we cannot let them get their hands on the Intersect…Chuck."

"Director-" Sarah began.

Graham cut in, "The easiest thing is to throw Chuck into a bunker, but I can't trust my people here, the next easiest thing is to eliminate the Intersect."

"I'd kill you myself," Sarah said, never batting an eye.

"I am aware," Graham replied.

"Langston," Beckman began.

"It's the easiest way now, General," Graham said. He turned to Sarah. "Until we figure out how to get the Intersect out of Chuck, you are in Burbank, or…" he trailed off.

Sarah nodded. "I guess I'm here until they figure out how to remove it."

Casey was fidgeting. "Christ," he muttered. "General, this is a bad idea." Beckman raised an eyebrow. "They're both in love, she'll never tell him, and what happens if they can't ever get the damn thing out? You're having her move in, what the hell do you think is going to happen."

"Are you offering to eliminate the Intersect, Major?" Beckman asked.

"No, General, but you can't expect me to stay around here and watch these two do this dance," Casey replied.

"There is no dance," Sarah retorted. Casey looked at her like she was stupid. "There isn't. Chuck and I can't be together, I understand that."

"Oh, Christ," Casey muttered again. "General can I shot myself?"

"Negative, Major," Beckman replied, grinning.

"You do realize he's going to resist," Casey said, trying his last card. "I'm gonna die in Burbank, of old age, not getting to shoot anyone," he grumbled.

"Major, do you have anything to add positive to the conversation?" Beckman asked, glaring at him.

"No, Ma'am," Casey replied.

"Good, tell him whatever awful things you can think up to get him to cooperate, even if they're not true," Beckman began. Casey closed his eyes, and winced in pain. "Major?"

"General, I'm pretty sure I know exactly what is going through Casey's mind. That's a bad idea. Lying to Chuck….it doesn't end well."

"Then tell him the truth," Beckman said.

"General if I do that…I mean…I will be very compromised."

"You can't be anymore than you already are, Agent Walker," Graham said, shocking Sarah. "I get it, Sarah, we have rules, for God's sake, you've done terrible things, so have I, but I have a wife and a family, why can't you?"

"You are the one that wanted the American dream," Casey grumbled.

"Wait, are you on their side?" Sarah asked.

"THE IDIOT NEARLY DIED FOR YOU!" Casey yelled. Sarah didn't say anything, he was right. "Christ, Walker, they're saying it's okay!"

"We did not say that," Beckman corrected quickly. Casey turned to her. "All I said was tell him the truth."

"I'm confused," Casey told Beckman.

Beckman and Graham shared a look. "Welcome to the spy life, but you should both know that," Beckman said, and with that she cut the feed.

"What the hell am I supposed to do?" Sarah asked. Casey shook his head. "I'm seriously asking you, what the hell am I supposed to do?"

"I have no damn idea," Casey muttered.

A/N: I started this two years ago, and it has sat on my hard drive. Today someone said something about a fic where Beckman is cheering them on. I'm not saying she is in this one, I'm not saying she isn't. What I'm saying is this is the only chapter written. If you like it, I could try and do more. Let me know. Take care guys, DC.
