(A/N: This will be my first fanfic, and I never wrote a fanfic before, I hope you guys like it!)
"Even after Dahlia Hawthorne was found guilty, I still believed in you."
'Were those words true? Did he really mean it?'
She thought, looking at the wall as she was lying down.
5 days after that fateful trial, which Iris was found not guilty for the murder at Hazakura Temple, she began to think about everything that has happened, about her friends, about him. Even after what Iris did, Phoenix always believed in her, he knew that it was not his 'Dollie' on that day. But they can't change the past, and they have to move forward. But can one person live like this, knowing they have to forget everything that has happened between them and the love of their life?
'Ms. Hawthorne, you have a visitor.'
She was slightly surprised, as she wasn't expecting anyone to visit her.
She got up and the guard escorted her to the detention center.

Detention Center
"Alright, Wright. Stay calm. This isn't the first time meeting her, you know?!" Phoenix said to himself. A lot was going through his mind at the moment; what's going to happen during their talk, will it go well, and the most important one, will they ever be the same?
The door opened, and a girl with a purple kimono entered the room.
Iris was shocked when she saw him,
"F-Feenie..!"
"Hey, Iris."
They finally met again, after that trial. It was pretty obvious that Iris was happy and shocked to see him. The same could be said for Phoenix, too.
"It's been a few days since we talked, right?" Phoenix asked.
"I… Suppose so. How have you been, Feenie?"
"I've been pretty well, what about you?"
Iris paused before talking.
"I think I am fine, too…"
Phoenix knew this wasn't the truth, but he didn't want to press her with his questions.
"So, uh, are you going to leave soon?"
"I don't think so… The crime I've committed, it's not something you can overlook."
Phoenix was rather sad to hear this.
"Oh, I see…"
Iris noticed his sadness, and tried to cheer him up.
"B-But, as long as you visit me, I don't think I'll be bored here."
"Haha, you don't say?"
"I'm serious, Feenie."
Phoenix smiled
"Then I'll make sure to visit you every week."
"O-Oh, I mean, if you don't have the time, you don't have to visit me every week. You should take care of your life, too…"
"I'm already taking care of my life!"
Iris appeared to be clueless
"What do you mean..?"
"You're my life, of course, you know?"
She wasn't expecting him to say something like this, so she was naturally surprised
"...H-Huh..?"
"Iris, you remember saying your feelings towards me changed?"
"Y-Yes?"
"You're not the only one, I have feelings for you too."
Iris didn't know what to say, she was pretty shocked to hear this.
"You… have feelings for me?"
"Do you remember what I said? Even after all those years, I couldn't understand why my Dollie would do something like this. But just a few days ago, I understood why. Because that girl was not the Dollie I knew. My real Dollie was… you, all along. Your kindness, your words, your innocence… They were all real. Dollie… No, Iris. I still love you, and I will keep loving you. I just wanted to get this out of my chest…"
Iris was in tears after she heard this, Phoenix was of course his lover years ago, but knowing he believed in her after all these years…
"I… I don't know what to say… Feenie, that's why I fell in love with you, years ago. You were always honest, and you believed in people, that's what made me fall for you. When I tried to get that necklace back from you, I always told myself that I was not the person you fell in love with, but I couldn't hide my feelings for you, I always thought that these feelings were unnecessary, and they will go away later. But on that fateful day, when you showed up again at Hazakura, I realized these feelings were not just unnecessary… I love you too, Feenie…"
Phoenix gave a big smile to Iris
"S-So… Do you want to start over, Iris..?"
"Of course… Now knowing the fact that you feel the same, I can't wait to reunite with you, Feenie…"
'Mr. Wright, visiting times are over, I'm afraid.'
Phoenix was pretty sad to hear this, but he knew he couldn't object to this.
"Okay, Iris, I'll visit you often, I promise."
"Y-You don't have to, Feenie. Please take care of your life, that'd make me happy."
"Okay… But that doesn't mean I'll stop visiting you, OK?"
Iris giggled
"Of course, if you have the time, please do visit Feenie."
"See you later, Iris. Take care."
"Take care, Feenie…"
(Phew! This was a hard but entertaining job! I think I'll end this here, and I'll try to visit this site more often. Please tell me what do you think about my first fanfic, though it was pretty short, I'm sorry about that. I'll continue making more chapters, if I have time. Thanks for reading!)
