Call Out

"You ok?" Punk asked, wrapping his arm around Thea's waist and kissing the side of her head as she nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Thea nodded, looking on at Sam's gravestone as they stood in front of her grave where many bunches of flowers had been laid.

"I still hear her sometimes, honestly." Punk nodded, "That voice." He shook his head as Thea nodded with a smile.

"Yeah, I do too." Thea said, "Just can't help think about how disappointed she would have been, with everything that happened through the Summer. Drinking again and losing it." She said.

"You know she would have been the most understanding out of all of us." Punk reminded her, "She didn't judge anyone. If there's one thing I learned from her is to treat everyone the same. Whether you're the president or you're a homeless man down the street. Money, wealth… it didn't matter." He shrugged.

"That's cause you didn't have it." Thea turned to her.

"Maybe but… I'd like to think if I grew up in more fortunate circumstances, I'd still turn out the same way." Punk nodded, "My point is, she'd be there to help you. And she'd be proud to see how far you've come."

"I hope so." Thea nodded, spotting at the corner of her eye as she saw Dan walking down with some flowers, "I'll leave you with him." She told her father, giving him a hug before leaving the grave, saying hello to Dan on her way who joined Punk at the grave.

"Morning." Punk nodded to him.

"Morning." Dan said, "How are you doing?" He patted Punk's back.

"I'm alright." Punk said, "You?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Dan nodded, leaning down and sitting the flowers on the grave as Punk watched, "Your brother not come down here?"

"He's been." Punk said, "He came earlier this morning." He told him as Dan nodded.

"I saw April by the car up there. And Jude and Cassie." Dan nodded, "I'm glad to hear things worked out well for Jude at court." He turned to Punk who nodded.

"Yeah, I think we all are." Punk said, "She's flying back to New York tomorrow, with a little bit of a clearer mind, I think."

"Well, it doesn't change much but it… it certainly helps to have the person responsible locked up. One of." Dan said as Punk nodded.

"I agree." Punk nodded, "She'd be proud. Of all of them." He said, looking on at the gravestone, "I know she had a good relationship with Thea particularly but she loved them all."

"They're very lovable girls." Dan nodded to him, "But she was very fond of them. All five of them. And I think they were fond of her, sometimes." He teased as Punk smiled.

"I think she was there for April when I was in prison." Punk nodded, "Growing up, even when I was a teenager, I never thought I'd admire her for anything, ever. And that sounds cruel, I know." He said, "But she was hard to get one with when we were kids and teens." He said.

"Believe me, I know. I dated her." Dan assured him as Punk smiled a little, "But… she had a good heart."

"Yeah." Punk nodded in agreement, "She did."

"Cass?" Theo called, getting home from work, looking down the hallway and noticing the kitchen in darkness, hearing music coming from the record player in the living room.

He walked into the living room, looking on at his wife sitting on the couch with a beer, head rolled back on the couch with her eyes closed, tapping her foot to the slow music.

"Cassie Brooks." Theo called as Cassie lifted her head, looking over at him, "You only bust out Etta James when you're stressed." He noticed.

"Your son had a tantrum before bed." Cassie said calmly.

"My son?" Theo questioned.

"Your son." Cassie nodded as he smiled a little, "That's the third time this week. It's Wednesday." She raised a brow as Theo chuckled to himself.

"He's three. His sole purpose right now is to have tantrums." Theo nodded.

"He called me a mean mommy and that he likes daddy better." Cassie nodded, "Little shit."

"Well, if that's how he feels." Theo shrugged, teasing.

"You're the worst." Cassie shook her head as he smiled.

"I'm teasing." Theo nodded.

"If we ever have a daughter, I hope she gives you as much stress as he does." Cassie nodded.

"Well that's a guarantee." Theo accepted, "But I'll be prepared."

"Yeah, right." Cassie chuckled.

"How'd things go at the grave?" Theo asked her.

"Oh, yeah. It was fantastic." Cassie nodded sarcastically as Theo made a face at her, "It was fine. Sad." Cassie admitted, "Never thought I had much of a connection with Sam but… I do miss her being around."

"Didn't she give you a lot of grief about being a cop?" Theo asked her.

"Yeah, but that was just Sam being Sam." Cassie shook her head, "She was good at heart. Miserable life, though." She thought to herself.

"Well… she turned it around at the end." Theo nodded, "How was Thea?"

"She was ok. I went for coffee with her after it, actually. Jude and mom too. Dad had to work." Cassie said, "I had a slice of cake."

"Terrible." Theo scoffed dramatically as Cassie nodded.

"It's hard not to have cake with coffee." Cassie waved her hand, "How was your day? Anything exciting happen?"

"If you think arguing with a sixty seven year old racist at the store is exciting-" He shrugged as Cassie rolled her eyes.

"There seems to be more of them lately." Cassie shook her head.

"Oh, they've always been out there." Theo nodded, "She dropped her full basket on my foot and stormed out of the store." He shook his head.

"I would have kicked her." Cassie nodded.

"That's why you don't get called out to those sort of incidents." He nodded, walking over to the record player.

"Don't touch." Cassie watched nervously.

"How long you been spinning?" He asked her, taking his jacket off.

"Since Chase went to bed." Cassie nodded.

"You're gonna love the Christmas present I've gotten you." Theo smiled to himself.

"You're organised this year." Cassie raised her eyebrows.

"I am." Theo nodded.

"Guess what? My mom and dad got Chase a bike." Cassie shook her head.

"Wow, what awful grandparents those two are." Theo tutted sarcastically.

"Isn't that something we should get him? Or… Santa?" Cassie questioned.

"No." Theo shook his head, "I think we should get him the new x-box-"

"No." Cassie said immediately, "Absolutely not."

"You are a mean mommy." Theo scoffed.

"He's three, Theodore." Cassie shook her head.

"Stop Sunday naming me." He shook his head, "I'll start calling you Cassidy."

"That's not even my name." Cassie looked at him with confusion.

"I know, but remember I used to call you it when we first met?" He smiled.

"Yes, and it was annoying." Cassie nodded.

"You loved it." Theo said, "You loved me from the second you saw me." He teased.

"That is incorrect. I thought you were extremely annoying when we first met." She nodded, "And you bullied me."

"I did not." Theo shook his head, "I teased you out of fondness."

"You pulled my chair away every time I tried to sit down." Cassie raised a brow.

"Just some fun." Theo waved his hand as she smiled over at him, watching as he walked over to her, extending his hand out to her as she looked at it.

"What?" She smiled, taking his hand as he pulled her up from the couch.

"What? I can't dance with my wife?" He asked, spinning her under his arm as she smiled, feeling him pull her close, hand on her waist whilst the other intertwined with her hand.

"No, you can." She whispered with a smile, leaning her head on his shoulder as they slow danced in the living room.

"Spoke to my dad today." He told her.

"Oh, goody." Cassie said sarcastically.

"He's invited us out to Mexicali next weekend." Theo said, "With Chase." He added as Cassie lifted her head from his shoulder.

"What did you say?" Cassie questioned.

"Well I… I said ok." Theo shrugged.

"Theo, you haven't saw him in… two years." Cassie said, "You said you were done with him."

"I know… I know but he asked. He doesn't normally." Theo said as Cassie looked at him.

"He doesn't deserve to see Chase. You know how I feel about him." Cassie said, leaning her head back on his shoulder.

"I know." Theo nodded, "But I complain about him not making an effort, it'd be a bit hypocritical for me to blow him off when he does."

"It's your decision." Cassie nodded, "I'm with you whatever you decide." She promised as he kissed her head, "What else did he say?" She asked curiously.

"He just asked how you were and how Chase was. And Matthew." Theo said.

"He can't call Matthew himself and ask?" Cassie questioned.

"Matthew doesn't answer the phone to him. At all." Theo nodded.

"So why do you?" She looked up at him.

"I don't know, I'm not… I'm not petty enough to ignore him, I guess." Theo shrugged.

"It's not about being petty. It's about what you deserve and… frankly, it's better than him." Cassie nodded.

"You just don't like him." Theo nodded.

"It's not that. I just don't want to see you hurt or get angry with him. It never ends well when you guys see one another. Maybe there's a reason he wants us out there. It's kinda out of the blue." Cassie thought to herself.

"Maybe. I guess we'll just have to wait and see." Theo nodded.
