"Well, well, well... Have here, what do we?"

Yoda bent down and gently picked up what he had just found. He held it before him to examine it. A thoughtful, observant look spread across his green face as he took in his discovery.

Wriggling in his hands was a tiny baby creature - who happened to look just like the wise old Jedi Master. It gazed up at him with wide, black eyes, babbling away in its innocent, infantile manner.

"Hmmm..." Yoda closed his eyes as he felt his mystical powers sweeping through the Child. "Strong with the Force, I sense you are..."

The Child tilted his small head, flickering his years that were as pointed as the being that was holding him.

"Also..."

Yoda opened his eyes again - as an enormous smile spread across his face, filled with awe at what he had just found.

"So adorable, aren't you!" he exclaimed happily. "Just like me, you look!"

Yoda held the Child up in the air, realising in loud adorable giggles escaping from the small young creature.

"The cutest little thing I've ever seen, you are such! Are you, yes! Are you, yes!"

The Child giggled heartily, enjoying all the attention he was receiving from the old Jedi Master who had just found him. It felt so great be someone who could make hearts melt just at the sight of him.

With a chuckle, Yoda cradled the Child lovingly in his arms. He started to head towards his ship. The old warrior preparing to fly home to Dagobah - and take his new friend with him.

"Take you as my apprentice, I shall," he told the Child. "Train you to be a Jedi Master, I shall, so become as powerful as me one day, you shall..."

The Child peered up at the older, wiser creature. A cute smile crossed his tiny little face to tell Yoda he accepted him as not only a master - but also as an surrogate father.

Having no trouble understanding, Yoda smiled in return at the Child - who he now saw as his adopted son. It took him no time at all to decide what he was going to call him.

"Baby Yoda, your name is!"

The end.
