Hello, this is Sapphire! I've written this from a prompt by Shiranai Atsune:
-Lance is the only Wizard (Hogwarts alumni) in the team and maybe even the whole McClain family are wizards
Disclaimer: I do not agree with JK Rowling's transphobia.
This is for Shiranai Atsune: sorry I took so long!

"You can't be serious."
"Dead serious, Keith."
"Let me get this straight. You're trying to tell me that you're a wizard. Like, with a magic wand and all that. And you expect me to believe you, Lance?"
Lance took a deep breath. "I know it's a lot to get your head around, but this can't be the weirdest thing you've come across," he pointed out.
Keith sighed, "You're right. But even if you aren't lying, joking, or messing with me, how am I supposed to believe you? Can you prove this at all?"
Lance pulled out his wand. "I'll do magic. Lumos," he commanded, lighting up the end of his wand.
Keith's eyes widened in shock.
oooOOOOooo
Pidge was working with their tech when Lance walked in.
They glanced up. "Hey, Lance. What are you doing?"
Lance opened his mouth to speak, "I have something I need to tell you. I'm sorry I kept it secret and I know it's kind of unbelievable, but I think that I need to tell you because it's been weighing on my mind and has been stressing me out, so-"
"Lance! Just spit it out, okay?" Pidge snapped.
Lance flinched. "I'm a wizard!" he blurted.
Pidge blinked. "I'm sorry?"
"I'm a wizard," Lance restated.
Pidge laughed, "No, I heard you right, I was just wondering what your mind was thinking? What the fuck, Lance?"
"I can prove it," Lance insisted.
"Okay, prove it," Pidge instructed.
Lance pulled out a stick thing - was that a wand? And commanded, "Lumos!"
Pidge stared in shock when the tip of the stick lit in a bright light.
"Holy shit, you aren't crazy!" they exclaimed. "Can I study that?"
"Um, I don't think so. Magic isn't science."

Hunk was cooking dinner when it happened.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" he heard a voice cry as the alien version of a carrot he hadn't cut yet lifted and flew on its own. Hunk whirled around to stare at Lance, who was holding a stick and aiming it where the carrot thing was.
"Lance, what the heck! Is that you doing that?" Hunk exclaimed
"Yes," Lance stated with a deadpanned expression.
"W-what? How?!" Hunk cried.
"I'm a wizard. I tried just telling Keith and Pidge but always had to prove it to them, so I thought that I would just prove it right away to you," Lance explained.
"Can you put my alien carrot down?" Hunk requested.
"Oh, sure," Lance replied. The carrot was suddenly cut into perfectly sized pieces and set in the bowl Hunk was putting the chopped 'vegetables.' "You're welcome," he called as he walked out the door.
"That was freaky and unexpected," Hunk muttered to himself.

Shiro was sparring with the Altean practice bot when he heard Lance's voice.
"Hey, Shiro, can I talk to you?"
"End sequence," Shiro commanded. The training sequence ended.
"What can I do for you, Lance?" Shiro asked, turning to face the other paladin.
"I'm a wizard, so I'm going to do magic now," Lance explained.
Shiro blinked. It wasn't what he expected, but he honestly wasn't surprised. He'd seen weirder things than Lance pulling out a wooden stick, say commands in Latin, swish and flick his wrist, and levitate a deactivated bot.
"Okay then. Thanks for sharing," Shiro stated, unsure of what to say after what just happened.
Lance laughed, "You've had the best reaction so far. You're probably just used to the unexpected by now, I guess. Keith and Pidge's faces were priceless, though. I think I freaked Hunk out a bit too much, I should have told him I was going to do magic before I did it. I've got to go tell Allura and Coran, now. Goodbye, have fun training."
Lance turned and left. Shiro stared after him for a minute, shrugged, and turned back to the bot. "Commence Level 22 training sequence."
oooOOOOooo
Lance told Allura and Coran at the same time.
The pair of Alteans were a wild card. They would either be the most chill with Lance's magic or be the most freaked out by it. There wasn't an in between.
Lance didn't expect them to not know what a wizard was.
"Hey, Allura, Coran, I'm a wizard, so-"
"What's a wizard?" Allura asked.
Lance blinked. He hadn't even thought about how Alteans didn't know Earth's culture and folklore. They'd talked about witches, mages and sorcerers before, so Lance had assumed that they knew what a wizard was.
"It's kind of like a male version of a witch? But not your kind of witch. It's not the same. Basically it means I can do magic with a specially designed channel, like my wand," Lance explained, pulling out his wand.
"Fascinating! Can I run tests on that?" Coran requested.
Lance shut it down immediately, "No, absolutely not. It isn't exactly delicate, but if you do the wrong thing you could break it or set off a burst of magic that could hurt you."
Coran deflated, but Allura looked even more excited. "Magic! Can you show us some magic, please, Lance?"
"Of course!" Lance smiled, scanning the room. He spotted a discarded necklace, probably when Pidge threw off their clothes after a diplomatic meeting.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" He instructed. He moved the necklace through the air and set it down around Allura's neck. She squealed with delight. "That's amazing!"
"Lance, could you always do this? Can the other humans?" Coran asked.
Lance shook his head, "No, it's a very rare trait that isn't widely known. Not every human knows this power exists. Most don't. It's a well-guarded secret that you only share with those you trust deeply, because telling the wrong person can get you killed."
"Well, we're honored, Lance," Allura told him. "Have you told your teammates?"
Lance nodded, "I'm not sure how well they took it. They seemed pretty freaked out."
"We'll talk to them as a group, make sure they understand the significance of this for you, okay, Number 3?" Coran assured.
"Okay."
oooOOOOooo
"I have called this team meeting to talk about what Lance has told us," Allura announced.
"You mean what he showed us," Hunk muttered.
"We want to ask how you feel about this," Coran informed.
"I'm in shock. A little jealous. Maybe a little angry," Pidge admitted.
"I'm angry that Lance didn't tell us sooner, but simultaneously I know that he didn't have to tell us at all," Keith explained.
"I'm with Keith on this one," Hunk admitted.
"I honestly have been through too much to be shocked by this," Shiro sighed.
Allura smiled, "Those are all perfectly valid emotions to feel. Lance dropped a bombshell on you. But I want to also tell you some things he told me. He told me that you only tell those that you truly trust. He said trusting the wrong people with that secret could get him killed. You're allowed to be upset, angry and jealous, but also use logic. Make sure to keep your emotions in check."
"I'm sorry, killed?! Who would kill a wizard?" Keith blurted.
"Can you imagine what a scientist would do?" Pidge pointed out. "They'd want to take blood, organs, anything they could get their hands on. They'd want to experiment. Find out what the magic comes from. A scientist would kill a wizard."
"And remember the Salem witch trials?" Hunk added. "They killed people they thought were witches. Most probably weren't, but some might have, especially if they didn't know how to use their magic."
Shiro looked sick. "Haggar would want to get her hands on him if she found out he was a wizard. Could do magic. She was fascinated by me, would be fascinated by him."
"So, Lance doesn't do magic ever. Not on missions, at least. We aren't risking that," Coran decided.
"Agreed," Keith stated. Everyone nodded.
