Alex rushed down the stairs towards Ryan. She had no idea what to do. Through the fear she had she kept saying his name but to no avail, Ryan kept seizing. She laid him down on his side, something she remembered from first aid training while getting out a cellphone to call 911. Praying silently that her husband would be okay and that Phoebe would remain asleep throughout this whole ordeal, because seeing her father like this will surely upset her.

After the 911 call Alex put the phone on speaker and called Shelby to let her know what's going on. Shelby offered to come over while Caleb stays at home with CJ. How did their really good night manage to turn into something so bad.

The seizing subsided after a while and Alex sat on her knees next to her husband on the living room floor. stroking his head softly. "Are you okay?" She asked her voice barely audible as its full of emotion.

He didn't say anything, he looked at her with those blue eyes, full of question. His eyes looked weak, not as shiny as they were earlier.

"You had a seizure." Alex said softly and he nodded, closing his eyes again. "The ambulance are on the way."

Again he just nodded, his eyes still closed. "The kids?" He managed to ask.

"They're sleeping, Shelby is coming over so I can go with you to hospital."

"You don't have to come with." Ryan continues

"I'm not leaving you alone either." Alex whispered softly stroking his hair. The door opened revealing Shelby and the paramedics.

Shelby rushed over to her best friend's side, hugging her closely and quickly while the paramedics tended to Ryan.

"Kids?" Shelby asked and Alex pointed towards the stairs where Phoebe and Asher were sleeping soundly. Wordlessly Shelby made her way up the stairs to check on the sleeping children. She appeared on the staircase again and nodded at Alex that the kids are fine, and she will stay while Alex accompanies her husband to the hospital.

The seizing subsided and Ryan was still laying on the floor as Alex stoked his hair. She got up when the walked towards them and knelt down in front of her husband. They asked her questions on wether Ryan is taking medication or have a history of seizing. She answered no to all of the questions because her husband is really healthy.

"We were out with friends and he had a few drinks and didn't eat anything out of the ordinary. Just in case you give him medicaition that might interfere with the alcohol.

Alex left with the paramedics driving in the back of the ambulance with her husband. By the time they got to the hospital Alex had to fill in more forms while Ryan was sent for MRIs and blood tests. Alex checked in with Shelby to find out how the children were doing. Turns out they were all still sleeping but the blonde kept in contact with her best friend the entire time while she was waiting for her husband to return from the tests they have been running.

Not wanting to inform anyone else yet Alex waited until they got the results from the doctor. Ryan was wheeled into the room after an hour with a furrowed brow when his wife came to sit next to him on the bed.

"What's going on?" She asked but Ryan shook his head.

"The doctor will explain soon." He simply said squeezing her hand.

His words were barely cold when the doctor entered the room with a forced smile on his face.

"Good evening, let me get staright to the point he says." As he puts up Ryan's X-Rays against the light board. It seems like you have a brain tumor in your frontal lobe Mr Booth, that is what caused your seizure.
