Chapter 43: Love Transformation

Drew suddenly appeared a few feet above the ocean with his hands tied behind his back and a weight tied to his left leg. He took a deep breath and held it. He started sinking to the bottom of the ocean. He tried to struggle to break free from the ropes around his hands, but no good. He kept sinking because of the heavy weight and there was nothing he could do about it.

("That girl…") Drew thought. ("She teleported me to my death. Who was she?")

He kept struggling to swim up, losing his air to breathe. ("Come on. I need to swim up. May's in trouble.")

Drew stopped fighting to swim up and he just ran out of oxygen. He slowly closed his eyes. ("May…I hope you'll be safe without me…")

"Kiara, put us down this instant!" Caroline yelled.

The Royal family and Dahlia are floating in the air and are unable to move because of the power of Kiara's staff.

"Umm I'm sorry. Did you just order me to do something?" Kiara asked angrily. "Last I checked, I became Queen. Now I command you."

"Kiara, why are you doing this?" May asked.

"Didn't you listen to the song?" Kiara asked darkly. "Our parents are to give you the crown and title of Queen when you turn eighteen, but I deserve to rule. Not. You!" Kiara yelled.

"That's what this is about?" Caroline asked.

"Wait, where did you send Drew?" May asked.

"Who's Drew?" Norman and Caroline asked May in unison.

"I'll explain later." May answered. "Where is he?" She asked Kiara.

Kiara smirked evilly. "He's currently at the bottom of the ocean with no oxygen."

"You're going to drown him?!" May yelled.

"Oh, he's probably completely out of air by now." Kiara said.

"Kiara!" May yelled, eyes getting watery. "Bring him back!"

"Hmm…" Kiara thought about her answer. "Nope. I don't think I will."

Some tears escaped May's eyes. She didn't like the fact that her very own sister has sent her true love to his death.

"Aww...sad? That's what happens when you take away something that I really wanted." Kiara said.

"But I didn't take it away!" May yelled. "I was the first born and therefore, next in line for the throne!"

"I don't care!" Kiara yelled back. "I still deserve to be Queen and I will force my way to the throne if I have to! None of you can stop me. I have a genie on my side to give me what I want."

They look up at the genie. The genie just looks at May with a sad face. It was like they were communicating through their minds. Norman and Caroline look back to Kiara. May and Dahlia are still looking at the genie.

The genie changed his head to be Drew's head. He mouthed the words "I'm friends with Drew" and then turned his head back to normal.

May gasped on the inside. ("Drew's...friend? He had a genie with him and he didn't tell me?") May thought. May and Dahlia looked back at Kiara.

"So face it. You can't stop me from ruling Hoenn." Kiara said. She turned around and started to walk towards the front doors.

"Maybe we can't," May said. Kiara stopped and turned around. "But I have to at least try." May tightened her grip on her scepter and the jewel glowed brightly. May broke out of Kiara's energy field. She floated down to the floor.

"How did you…?" Kiara asked.

"Magic." May said simply. "And I'm going to use it to help you see the light."

"I'd like to see you try." Kiara challenged.

"Very well then." May said. She raised her scepter to the sky with one hand and the pink jewel glowed.

Norman, Caroline, and Dahlia all stared at the scepter and are interested to know more about its power.

The jewel stopped glowing and May lowered her arm. "Kiara, listen to my song and see the light."

May started singing. "Hard work's always faceless. It shouldn't matter what your gender or race is. Show me someone who is better. And we can watch them when they crumble under pressure." May started slowly walking towards Kiara. "Girl, you got a story. It's something for the whole wide world. No guts, no glory. There's strength in every girl." May sang as she stopped in the center of the entryway. She raised her scepter up to the sky firmly. The jewel glowed again and this time, she started floating up, still holding the scepter to the sky.

"All I'm asking is you open your mind." May sang as she floated up. "Do the right thing. Please give up the fight." May stopped floating and she lowered the scepter. "Cause we didn't come here to cheer. We came to lead, we're right here. So open your eyes and see...you can be legendary. You can be legendary. Yeah yeah." May starts slowly raising the scepter to the sky again. "Just open your eyes and see...we can be legendary." The heart jewel glowed brighter than before and May's dress started glowing. May was being surrounded by pink strings of light.

Everyone watched as May's outfit started changing from the top down. She continued singing. "No fight's ever easy. Oh we can win when we all start believing. We're stronger when we come together. Never run, no retreat, no surrender." May extended her arms to her sides and sleeves appeared on her arms. "We're part of a moment. Let's take it to the whole wide world." May sang as a choker appeared around her neck. "Stand tall, let's prove it." May's hair got streaks of pink in it. "There's strength in every girl." May's tiara turned completely pink and got more jewels.

May slowly started floating back down with her complete transformation finished. Her dress is pink. (You guys can think of the cool looking design.) She has a pink choker on with a heart in the front. She has streaks of pink mixed in her brunette hair. Her tiara grew a little in size and turned completely pink. She has glittery pink dressy shoes with two inch heels. She also has on pink gloves like Disney Princesses wear.

"All I'm asking is you open your mind." May sang as she floated down. "Do the right thing. Please give up the fight." May touched the ground and some magic released from her scepter, causing Kiara's magic to disappear. Dahlia, Norman, and Caroline fell to the ground. "Cause we didn't come here to cheer. We came to lead, we're right here." Kiara backed away a little after seeing May's magic undo her magic. "So open your eyes and see...you can be legendary." May sang as she started walking towards her sister. "You can be legendary. Yeah yeah. Just open your eyes and see...we can be legendary." May stopped. May and Kiara are now five feet away from each other.

"All I'm asking is you open your eyes. Do the right thing. Please give up the fight." May sang and Kiara frowned. "Cause we didn't come here to cheer. We came to lead, we're right here. Just open your eyes and see...you can be legendary." Kiara looked at her staff. "Yeah you can be legendary. Yeah yeah. So open your eyes and see...we can be legendary." Kiara looked back at May.

"All I'm asking is you open your eyes." May sang while smiling. "Do the right thing. Please give up the fight." Dahlia, Norman, and Caroline all looked at May and Kiara with slight fear of the fact that Kiara can use magic. "Cause we didn't come here to cheer." The genie watched and hoped that May could save Kiara from making a terrible mistake. "We came to lead, we're right here. Just open your eyes and see...you can be legendary. Yeah you can be legendary. Yeah yeah. So open your eyes and see...we can be legendary." May ended her song.

It was silent for a moment before May spoke up.

"Kiara, do you get it now?" May asked kindly. "I used the magic in my heart to transform into this new look. The scepter made it happen, but because I believe in helping you see the light, this worked."

May held out her hand to Kiara. "What do you say we put this all behind us?"

Kiara stared at May's hand for a bit before slapping it away. "You want me to give up that easily?!" Kiara yelled.

"Kiara-"

"No May, I won't give up." Kiara cut May off. "Hoenn has a new Queen now. The Queen of Mean." Kiara started walking towards May, causing her to walk backwards. "And I'll make sure that everyone knows that! I've always been second, May! Second! All because you're the first born and rightful heir to the throne or whatever. But now...I'll show everyone that I deserve to rule! Not you!" Kiara yelled. She immediately stopped and pointed her staff to May. May stopped walking backwards.

They saw Kiara's staff jewel glow. "Kiara, what are you doing?" May asked.

"Have fun in the dungeon." Kiara said, smirking evilly.

"No!" May yelled. She immediately got hit by a beam of purple light that teleported her to the castle's dungeon, trapped behind bars. Kiara then proceeded to teleporting Norman, Caroline, and Dahlia to the same cell as May.
