Vision had been pacing through the compound as he tried to surmise why Wanda had been ignoring him, he could sense the tension ever since they spoke of the Accords.
The accords were needed to ensure that Wanda would be protected, if they followed the rules given to them by the UN then Wanda would be able to stay amongst the avengers as she would not be seen as a threat and more of an asset. But why did she ignore him?
He frowned as he looked out to the sky, watching as the sun fell and allowed the stars that could shine past the artificial lights that surrounded the compound to come into view.
Why had they drifted so far apart in such a short space of time?
Maybe if he were to make her something..
He left for the kitchen.
Wanda was once again watching the news in her room, she didnt dare leave for fear of bumping into Vision.
She didnt want to see him as she knew that she would talk herself out of this irrational need to ignore him because of how quick he was to sign off on the accords, not even taking into account her feelings on the matter.
It's not like he needed to know her feelings.. it's not like they were in any form of relationship where her feelings should matter most, but she still felt betrayed by how quickly he was to accept the accords and the meaning behind them.
Her stomach grumbled and reluctantly she got up and left for the kitchen.
Vision had been frowning as he looked into the recipe book that he noted Wanda use one time.
"A pinch of paprika.. "
he quirked as he wondered how much is a pinch, considering the size of a persons index finger and thumb could vary and so the amount that was added could be changed slightly and thus the taste would also change.. and as a being that had never tasted anything before, how would be know what tasted good or bad?
The neurons in his mind were starting to sizzle from the thought as he finally added what he would imagine a pinch of paprika would be.
Wanda was noteably shocked as she walked in to find Vision musing over a stove of what smelt like paprikash.. but a very milder smelling paprikash.
She bit her lip as her walls instantly crumbled, she asked as she walked over to the kitchen island where he was cooking
"Is that Paprikash?"
Vision smiled instantly upon hearing her voice and without hesitation he spoke, the smile seeping off of his words
"Yes, I was hoping it would.. lift your spirits"
She slid between Vision and the stove as she went to take a taste of the dish.
It was extremely mild, most certainly zero paprika had been put in the mixture.
"Spirits lifted"
She giggled towards him as he tip toed around her body.
She blushed as she felt his chest brush against her back as he reached for a towel and quickly took another spoonful of the food as she tried to hide her emotions.
Vision smiled as he watched her eat the first meal that he had ever made, he glanced down as he began thinking of words that could help his friend during this time.
"Wanda.."
"Yeah?"
"No-one dislikes you"
She quirked her eyebrow and nodded curiously
"Erm.. thank you"
Vision smiled as he continued
"Your very welcome, but it's just their response in their amygdala"
Wanda chuckled lightly as she asked
"Well what about you?"
Vision chuckled in response as he sat opposite Wanda, a playful smile on his face
"Well my amygdala is synthetic so.."
Wanda scoffed playfully and noted how quickly they went back to their playful, friendly and somewhat flirty friendship again, she liked this.
Vision glanced around him as he thought of more conversation that could lift her spirits, he reluctantly lifted a hand to the stone as he spoke
"You know, I dont know what this is"
Wanda watched him intently as he continued
"I know that its not of this world and that it powered Lokis staff and gave you your powers but.. I dont know what it's true nature is"
Wandas voice faltered as she asked
"Are you afraid of it?"
"I wish to understand it and who knows, one day maybe control it"
His eyes bore into hers and she felt the rising heat in her cheeks.
She cleared her throat as she smirked
"I dont know what you put in here, but it isn't Paprika"
She began to wipe her hands as she started to walk
"I'll go to the store and get some paprika"
Vision instantly glided infront of her, he was just about to tell her that maybe they could order pizza when the stone shone and he winced in pain, collapsing to the ground infront of Wanda.
Dont
A voice radiated in his mind and he frowned.
"Vision, what happened? are you ok?"
Wanda's voice was frantic with worry as she placed her hands around his cheeks, she looked over his face and the mind stone, noting the light glowing and then dimming as if it were speaking.
"I.. I am not sure.."
Vision stood and placed a hand over the stone, feeling the heat pulsing within the gem.
Wanda frowned as she thought about how quickly Vision crumbled to the floor and placed her hands over his as she began leading him into the direction of her room.
Vision cocked his head in confusion as he found himself standing next to Wanda's bed.
"You need to lay down and rest, and since you dont have a bed of your own.. "
her voice trailed as she angrily attempted to hold the blush that dared to float on her cheeks back.
Vision smiled at her, a smile that was full of emotions, too many for her to take in.
He nodded and sat on her bed.
"Lay back"
Wanda frowned.
Vision chuckled as he followed her orders, he sighed contently as he inhaled the smell of Wanda's shampoo on the pillow.
Wanda had sat next to him and placed her hand over his, twirling her thumb in circular motions over the red vibranium skin.
Visions spine shivered from the touch but he smiled, allowing his eyes to drift close as he relished in the contact that he had with Wanda.
"Why did you ignore me..?"
His voice was a whisper as he asked
Wanda smiled sadly as she watched him, she sighed as she began to relay her thoughts about the accords to him.
".. So I just imagine that it will be just like Hydra or Ultron all over again.. only this time there will be more people forcing our hand.."
she looked out the window as thoughts of Pietro came drifting to her mind.
"I'm sorry, I didnt know how you felt.. I just thought it was the safest option.. "
he opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling above him
Wanda glanced over to him, her voice full of emotion as she clarified
"the safest option for everyone else.."
Vision frowned and sat up, placing a hand over Wanda's cheek as he spoke, ensuring that there was no misunderstanding
"The safest for you.. I couldnt bare the thought of you being taken from.."
he stopped himself and sighed as he glanced to the window.
Wanda had blushed profusely from the contact of Visions hand to her cheek and smiled brightly as she now understood his mind set on the accords.
"Thank you Viszh.."
She gave him a quick peck on his cheek and darted out of the room as she shouted
"Now rest!"
Vision smiled as he could still feel the tingling sensation from the contact of Wanda's kiss on his cheek.
Vision had been resting when the sound of an explosion in the distance woke him, he instantly phased on his armour and went to find Wanda.
Wanda had been in the living area of the compound, looking out a small window at the explosion in the distance when Vision phased up from the floor.
"What is it?"
She asked as she watched another explosion go off.
Was it people that wanted to cause her harm because of Lagos?
Vision placed a hand on her shoulder reassuringly as he stated
"Wait here."
He left to investigate but was once again halted by the stone
Go back
The voice radiated in his mind and so he went back to Wanda who was currently holding a knife with her powers to Clint Bartons head.
Clint Frowned as he saw Vision
"Shit!"

so as the title explains, this is an alternate reality - Earth 611, the reality where Thanos is gone, but Civil war is still in the midst of beginning.
I wonder what changes we can expect from Wanda and Vision in this reality of Civil War.
