The team arrived at the lodge, and checked in. "Hey look its Bobby in the lobby!" Myles said jokingly. A man took their bags to their rooms, as the team, went outside, and admired the beauty of the distant mountains. "Isn't it marvelous!" Bobby said putting his arms around everyone. Bobby, Myles, and D went to the curling rink, Tara, and Lucy went to the gift shop, leaving Sue, and Jack awkwardly standing in the cold. "Do you want to go on a walk with me." Jack signed. "Sure!" Jack took Sue by the hand, and began to walk down a trail, it was mostly silence. Jack led Sue to a park bench, and tried to start up a honest conversation. "How are you and Allie doing." Sue asked. "Well um, she broke up with me." He stated. "What! Any woman is lucky to date a handsome gentleman like you!" Although she got interrupted. "Sue she broke up with me, because she thought I was in love with you!" He scratched his neck a bit embarrassed. They stared into each other's eyes, as they leaned closer to kiss, but Sue pulled away knowing it was wrong. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have." He cleared his throat. "Well I better get back, Luce, and Tara are expecting me to watch a episode of Heartland with them." The rest of the walk was in complete silence. "Well goodnight Jack!" He opened the door for her, as he happily waved goodbye.
The next day the team ate a quick breakfast, then headed outside for time in the snow. Each of the team sat shivering around the fire pit, drinking a large cup of coffee. "I am getting, spa treatment, when I get back from this trip." Myles said complaining a bit. "Oh come on mate, enjoy the great outdoors! Besides I got a curling rink game to finish with you all before the trip is over!" Bobby got up from his chair. "What are you going to do." Lucy asked Sue. "Jack is going to teach me how to ski!" She said happily. "Well you two have fun!" Tara and Lucy said knowingly. They rolled their eyes, and looked at each other, before the team headed different directions. "About last night I..." Jack said once they had gotten on the ski lifts, his voice trailed off. "It's ok Jack, I shouldn't have asked anyway. " She nodded. Soon they got off the lifts, as Sue saw the biggest mountain slopes, and probably the only ones she would see in her life. Jack helped Sue onto her ski's, as she slipped multiple times. "I feel silly loosing my balance on these, especially since I am a ice skater." She laughed. "Well its all about steady balance." He handed her the ski stick, and in no time she got the hang of it, and raced Jack down the slopes.
Meanwhile, Bobby, Myles, and D were playing a game of curling, as Bobby looked out a huge window overlooking the ski slopes, watching Jack, and Sue laugh, and joke around. "Aren't they the cutest couple!" "Yes they are." Demetrius agreed with Bobby. "You know it would be quite a shame if they didn't get together!" Myles crossed his arms. "Well there is one way." D said hinting, as it suddenly hit Bobby. "You mean marriage!" Bobby, and Myles exclaimed. "That's exactly what I mean, they said you couldn't date, but they never said you couldn't marry someone." D clapped his hands. "Well I think we should high tail it out there and tell Jack!" Myles said walking towards the door. "Hold on, let Jack handle it. Besides I've seen how they look at each other, even more now, since she has stayed."
That night the team sat in the lobby, watching a movie. Demetrius, Myles, and Tara had all fallen asleep, leaving Jack, Sue, Bobby, and Lucy, still awake. "Well I had fun today, spending time with the people I love." Jack stopped suddenly embarrassed, as Sue blushed deeply. Bobby, and Lucy, just laughed under their breaths.
The next morning was full of activities! The team went bobsledding (or Bobby sledding as everyone called it! Then the team had a snowball fight, although Myles thought had won, and Lucy took way too many pictures! The team sat around the fire drinking coffee, and hot coco, telling of Christmas pastimes. "I remember when I was a kid, my neighborhood, did caroling, so I decided I would do it. But since I am deaf I was singing off key!" Sue laughed, and so did everyone else! "Well don't feel bad, most people don't have the greatest singing voice anyway!" Jack laughed at Sue. "Jack Hudson! Are you saying I have a bad singing voice!" Sue asked a little jokingly mad. "Oh no no never, there is other things about you a man likes- I mean people like." They both were deeply embarrassed." "Such as what Sparky?" Bobby asked. "Ok Ok lets play a game. We will go around, and name off things we like about a specific person!" Myles raised his eyebrows. Myles went, then Bobby, Lucy, and Tara, Jack, and Sue were the only people left, and it was Jack's turn. "Well Sue, I like your hair, your eyes are lovely. You light up any room your in, I know you hate your laugh, but I love it, I love your personality, and your heart for people, and I think your beautiful." He was a little unsure of her response. "You have nice hair, your strength to get anything done is amazing, your personality is great! You have nice eyes, and I think your handsome." Sue and Jack were both embarrassed, and everyone knew that everything they said about each other was true.
That night Sue, and Jack, were ice skating. Jack held onto the rail. "Sue a those things I said back there, they were all true." He scratched his neck. "Well all the things I said about you is true too." She smiled. Jack decided to race Sue, but fell down, when he let go of the rail. "Jack! Are you ok?" She asked with concern. "I'm fine Sue, probably have a bruised hip. Jack, and Sue stared into each other's eyes, as he touched her cheek. "Oh Sue, my beautiful beautifulSue!" His eyes filling with happy tears. "Your so beautiful, I love you. He stopped. I have loved you ever since Iayed eyes on you. Your a beautiful beautiful woman Sue Thomas." "I love you too Jack!" Was all she could get out. He got up, and kissed, as unbeknownst to them the team was watching
