.An Awkward Fine.
.Untouchable.

My heart pounded within my tightened chest, yet my body was trembling with anger. I clenched one hand onto the shopping bag, meanwhile the other was clenched onto a small piece of paper that was given to me.

It was a fine from a police officer~

As soon as I stepped through the front door, I was greeted by Kai who was stood there with his arms folded across his chest.

"You promised me that you would stay in until your antibiotics had finished."

I rolled my eyes and growled under my breath. "Here we go." I uttered to myself and stuck my tongue on the inside of my cheek.

Seriously, I didn't want to hear this. I can't bare staying inside anymore!

"The doctor ordered you to remain inside because you are at risk of dying if you contract the virus-"

"I know!" I blurted whilst accidental dropping the shopping onto the ground. "I was the one who spoke to the woman on the phone!"

Naturally, I crouched down to pick up the items, but my wobbly hands couldn't seem to catch anything, I just kept dropping the bags of rice or tinned veg.

Stubbornly, I took a deep breath to try and relax myself, but the mucus on my chest made it difficult. In sheer panic, I choked on the air and I slammed my fist down onto the ground. Tears began to blur my view and my body tensed.

Unlike Kai, I was never any good at bottling up my emotions. As soon as the first tear rolled down my chest, the relief of release cleared up my body. I started to relax the more I cried.

"I just can't take this anymore. Why can't things go back to how they used to be?" I croaked, "Kai, this whole scenario is upsetting my head. I am thinking things that I normally don't do. I suddenly feel worthless because I can't fullfill this purpose I have."

Without saying a word, Kai approached me and then sat down beside me on the ground. He began to pick up the items that I had dropped and he placed them back into the carrier bag. However, he soon stopped in his tracks when he read the fine.

With my sleeve, I wiped my eyes and gazed over to him.

"You were fined, and rightly so-"

"Oh, that's not what you think it's for." I corrected quickly. "The police asked to search my bag for 'essential' items. But I told them to shove it up their arse, despite that I all I had in the bag was food anyway."

A heavy sigh ghosted from Kai's lips. He looked so disappointed, but I did notice a small smirk creeping up into the corner of his mouth.

"Too be fair, that's something I would do too." He admitted and gazed at me eye level. "Everyone on the team is in the same shoes that you are in. So get it together and keep practising for the next tournament."

For the first time in months, I heard my captain.

This wasn't my boyfriend speaking, it was my boss!

I honestly can't explain to you how I felt at that current moment in time. I guess it was hope mixed with relief. I was so pleased to hear that the whole team was okay, but at the same time, I was suddenly excited to know that things will return to 'normal' soon.

Instantly I smiled and my eyes dried up.

"Oh Kai, I needed to hear that." I stated and crawled across the floor to wrap my arms tightly around his neck. "When this is all over, we are going to enter that tournament and kick some serious ass."

"Pft." He wrapped his free arm around me and then kissed my cheek softly. "I'll never forgive you if you give up now. So act like a champion."

"I will! I promise!" I paused when I heard the sound of the fine crunch in Kai's hands. "By the way, can I borrow some money?"

A/N: A little something which describes how I have been lately. Honestly, my mental health is really struggling with these restrictions in place. I recovered my breakdown by forcing myself to get out into the world, so this is a giant step backwards for me. I'm doing my best to stay happy because I have everything that I ever wanted, but freedom is priceless. However, if anyone needs anyone to speak to during these hard times, please feel free to message me and I will do what I can. Stay safe and look after eachother - Granger~
