"I've what?"

A small sigh breezed through his nostrils, yet that this hard topic didn't stop Kai from smiling at me. He gazed his crimson eyes up and down my figure before fixating his view onto my stomach.

"You've put weight on too quickly." Kai contently repeated himself "Lose it before it becomes a problem."

Is he really telling me what to do!?

Naturally, I tensed my stomach and I lifted up my t-shirt.

"What are you talking about? This is all muscles." I tapped my hand onto my stretched flesh and smiled warmly. "Come on, Kai. Don't you find me attractive anymore? And if I go on a diet, I can't cook delicious dinners. I mean, don't you like those stake homemade pies?"

Come on, I'm lucky enough to eat as much as I like without gaining any weight.

The world champion doesn't get chunky! He just stores all of this energy for the next fight.

Yes, this had knocked my confidence dramatically, but I simply refused to let it sink in yet.

"Oh man, I would kill for a sausage roll now." I felt my mouth water and my stomach rumble. "I might bake some right now-"

Without warning, Kai rose up from his desk and he rolled his eyes at me.

"See, this is the problem. You're so bored that you just eat all day. Go and do something practical for five minutes." He sharply encouraged. "And don't overdo it."

"You make it sound like I am massive!." I released my t-shirt to hide my stomach and I frowned at Kai. "I can still do 20 sit-ups like old times, just you watch me. Heck, I can still run around Bey-City and back!"

"I wouldn't-"

"No, shut up and watch me." I interrupted with my eyes glaring into his. "Stand back, I don't want to outshine you too much."

"Tyson-"

I know he muttered something to discourage me, but I wasn't really interested in what he had to say. I just turned down the volume of the world around me and I focused on the task that I had mentally set myself.

I lay myself down onto the office rug and I positioned myself. I linked my hands together behind my head and I raised my knees. Slowly, I licked my lips and I closed my eyes as I forced my upper torso to meet my knees.

As soon as I lay back down, I smiled with joy because I couldn't wait to prove Kai wrong.

Again, I did another sit up and then another.

I was on a roll!

But when I came to do the 5th, I suddenly felt a twitch of pain flood through my lower abs.

"Urgh!" I slammed my head down onto the floor and I instinctively rolled around in agony. "That hurt!"

Oh man, he was right. I haven't worked out for weeks and all I have managed to do during this lockdown period was cook new unhealthy treats. Pies, cakes, buns, pastries – you name it, I have learned to cook it.

Kai, on the other hand, was so good. If he hadn't done his daily exercise, he would only have something light for dinner, like some soup or green tea. Heck, that guy is so strict on himself that it made me look like a disgrace. My clothes are getting tighter, yet my stamina has vanished.

Wait! Had he been refusing to eat my meals because Kai knew that they were too unhealthy?!

Everything suddenly hit me all at once as I squirmed with my eyes wide shut.

"Fine! I have gotten a little porkie. But I can lose it all again, Kai. So don't you go looking elsewhere yet!"

The sound of Kai slapping his forehead echoed within my ears. "You're such an idiot, Tyson. I'm saying all of this because you will cause yourself a health scare. I'm not saying that I don't want you." He explained in a dry tone.

Relief flooded through me and I froze. "Oh..." I slowly opened my eyes to see that Kai had held out a hand to me.

I accepted his hand and he pulled me up onto my feet, "Right. I'm glad to hear that you wouldn't runoff. We've come so far-"

"Where would I run off to anyway, Tyson? We're in lockdown."

I wanted to punch him for that comment~

"You're such the comedian." I mocked in return to watch him chuckle, "But I'll show you a joke once I show you what's for dinner tonight. Some fresh green grass from the back garden."

"In that case, please add a dandelion." Kai retorted playfully. "They're in season."

Again, my abs haunted me when I tried to laugh. So I just wrapped my arms around them and limped towards the bathroom to run myself a soothing bath.

"I hate that man."

A/N: I poured myself a strawberry and cream liquor and I thought: 'fuck it, I am going to write today.' Honestly, I feel so much better mentally. Thank you to everyone who is still following me. Plus, three cheers to anyone who has gained weight in lockdown too! I've become a right porkie - Granger~
